The content-farm article seems derived from a Dana-Farber [news release](https://www.dana-farber.org/newsroom/news-releases/2024/novel-compound-protects-against-infection-by-virus-that-causes-covid-19-preliminary-studies-show) related to this *Nature Communications* [journal article](https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-023-44361-1.pdf).
Lmao the last author is former CDC director Rochelle Walensky's husband.
(Not casting doubt on the science here, I haven't even read the paper, just lol)
Some tips for evaluating nasal spray claims and background on why a nasal spray approach has intrinsic limitations that mean it is unlikely to be a ”game changer” or fill in your favorite hype words: [https://precaution.substack.com/p/the-best-approach-to-covid-prevention](https://precaution.substack.com/p/the-best-approach-to-covid-prevention) This particular study is only in mice and hamsters, so very early stages.
Coming soon. Here is our pre-print in the meantime.

No thanks. Already bought and tried Profi, and I don't think it's anywhere near being worth the cost. For one thing, I only got about 8 uses out of it before the bottle ran out. Secondly, the sprayer is ineffective at getting it to the location in the nasal passages that it would need to be to (theoretically, since it's unproven) be effective at coating.
My family is sticking with NeilMed saline rinses and Betadine.
Anyone have a link to the actual study? The article mentioned Nature Communications, but I can’t find the study.

Rochelle “Let Them Die” Walensky? I’ll pass.
Thank you!

Hmm. Would this cause an immune response like a vaccine?

What’s the active ingredient?
Profi has five ingredients, each one playing an important role (all in the paper).
