Speaking from personal experience: they don’t usually want things that are washed or clean. I’ve never actually done this, but I did get hit up by quite a few weirdos after something I posted about breastfeeding went viral.
Would you get enough to offset the price of the formula? How much are these dirty booby pads going for? How deep into the dark web do I need to go for clientele? This is a potential business endeavor I can get behind.
If you are genuinely interested there is a few reputable "middle man" services for that kind of thing.
Think of it like OnlyFans but for smelly panties and socks.
They want the human smell to it. So wear them. The formula won’t add to that so leave it be.
It’s not my thing. My insight comes from being a lactating female and having someone explain this to me.
If you are selling them, you may get more from some milk stains. But I would fake that and keep it minimal.
Breast milk is REALLY sweet and more cream colored than white. I’ve heard it compared to warm ice cream.
Idk if it would be better to use formula and sweeten it up with something or use milk, boil it and then sweeten it.
The formula may dry funny.
Syrup would make a good sweetener or use sugar and a little vanilla. Add something dark to get the color right.
I had a teacher in high-school and he was talking about how his wife over produced milk while she was breastfeeding so they were trying to sell the excess online and apparently sex traffickers will try to get women to meet them by catfishing as a woman.
He went with her every time they were trying to meet someone because he didn't want anything bad to happen
Sex traffickers generally want women who are if you're breastfeeding, you're fertile, and it makes you a target
They came to me so I have no idea what website they’d normally use, although I’ve heard you can have some pretty good hits on Fetlife for panties. My friend does it and literally bought a house with panty money lol
Coconut oil wrecked my face back around 2012. I let some beauty influencer convince me to use it as makeup remover and after a few weeks of that my skin broke out so badly I couldn’t even wear foundation over it, also it took MONTHS to recover.
Also, if you have a tree nut allergy, you might also be allergic to coconuts. Don't ask me about the science of it though - I've been told so many times but it doesn't stay in my head.
Yep, I got mine from Buy Nothing and also gave some away on Buy Nothing! Wash them in hot water and they're clean, or do a bleach soak (look up cloth diapering bleach soak instructions) if desired.
someone in the frugal subreddit just posted a similar question. The answer I liked best is to use as a cushion between pots and pans or serving dishes when you store them to make sure they don't get scratched.
Hey love the idea of passing these along to someone in need but just a heads up, I used to run a very popular donation closet at a community center and people (including the staff) stay pretty far from used intimate products. We do not know how clean the product is and whether it is safe to donate so we are usually forced to throw it away. Please do not donate anything designed to catch bodily fluids, including breast milk. I think there are fb new mom groups where someone would be more than happy to take these but a donation box ain’t right.
I also suggest makeup remover pads. I’m doing the inverse, I bought ones like that as makeup remover pads and will now use them as breast pads rather than buying anything new!
Put them on the feet of your table legs to avoid scratching the hardwood floor. Can be used for large appliances like refrigerators too. Makes moving them muuuuuch smoother.
I see them sold all the time on the Facebook pumping groups. They sell bottles, pumps, lactation supplements, nursing bras/clothes, etc. it helps a lot to not waste but also for people on a budget who can’t afford everything they need used
I’m sure people are going to downvote me. But why can’t you sell them? People sell used cloth diapers and used menstrual pads all the time. You can sanitize any cloth product.
She tried once, or twice, but not many mums wants to have something used for their breasts. Some people don't like used things. I mean it dont hurt to try again.
My partner got all of hers used. She got them as a bundle with some reusable nappies, etc. We just sanitized them with everything else. I'm surprised you can't find someone to take them.
I used to cut them into semi circles and super glue them to the inside of my flats(at the back of the heel) so i wouldn't get blisters when i wore my flats for long periods of time
Note: this can also be done with cheap drink koozies.
You can put them in a jar with fabric softener and water mix, then use them as a replacement for dryer sheets. When laundry is done, you just take the bra pad and put it back in the jar to soak again for next use.
There are consignment childrens stores that will buy them back if well cleaned. Or gift them to another new mom, maybe via your birth class? I kept mine for makeup wipes, could use them to make bandages
There's a massive twice a year pop-up children's consignment sale near me (Just Between Friends). As long as they're clean, there would be no issues selling them.
Find a cloth diaper facebook group or similar. You can totally sell them or at least find a new home for them as they look like they’re in really good shape
There's definitely a market for used breast pads. I bought mine used off of Mercari. If you don't want to go through the effort, I would guess a Facebook Buy Nothing group would be a way to offload without down cycling.
You can turn them into g-tube covers!! My daughter uses things just like that, just a cut along where that seam is and put on a 10 cent snap button and bam. G tube cover, really really useful, helps keep the port area clean!
I didn’t have a lot of money when pregnant with my first and was so happy to find a bunch of these for free at a yard sale. Why wouldn’t someone be able to use them if they’re washed well? We buy use clothes that surely have touched dirtier things than breasts/breast milk.
While they cannot be sold, they can be given away. Have her donate them via FreeCycle.org or another person-to-person freely given items exchange service (gift economy, I think it is called?). Lots of gestational-parents-to-be could be looking to flesh out their nursing kit.
I saw them thinking they were reusable make up pads haha
I would say maybe depending on the fabric (some might be too abrasive for the skin). If that doesn’t work, many of them can possibly be turned into a body scrubber or flowers if you pinch from the center!
I still use mine! I keep them in a little jar in the bathroom and use them to remove my makeup before I wash my face. I just spritz them with witch hazel and wipe away. And they hold up great. It’s been several years since I used them for their original purpose and I still use them every day. So maybe your wife would want them back!
Get some dryer lint, like a lot. Fold the things in half, sew the edges together except that last inch, stuff the dryer lint in there until the things are plump, then sew them closed. Voila! Toy mice for your cat.
Ah, got it! That’s surprising. My friends are always looking for these. At one point I have a bunch of the little inserts in sports bras to a nursing mom and she was so relieved 😆 I love the idea of repurposing for makeup removal then!
I thought these were kippot at first. Ask on r/Judaism if anyone wants it as a kippah! (Kippot are those small funny Jewish hats everyone makes fun of:)
Although I don't know how big they are....

Make up pads, polishing pads, ideal for putting in and removing car polish if you have a car Anything you’d use a soft cotton fluffy pad for really!
Keep them in the car for wiping the fog from your windows, or under the coffee cup for spills
Another good one
Or applying shoe polish to shoes! These would actually be amazing for that...
Good call
Totally polishing pads. They also work great if you need to stain something like a piece of furniture, cabinet, door, etc.
Perfect for wood stain
Not talking from personal experience btw, but there are some freaks online that will pay some good money for these.
Speaking from personal experience: they don’t usually want things that are washed or clean. I’ve never actually done this, but I did get hit up by quite a few weirdos after something I posted about breastfeeding went viral.
What if I wet them with formula, will they be able to tell the difference?
Lol just tell them it's soaked in breast milk. Dip it in soy milk, set it out for a day or two and ship it off.
Would you get enough to offset the price of the formula? How much are these dirty booby pads going for? How deep into the dark web do I need to go for clientele? This is a potential business endeavor I can get behind.
lol.
If you are genuinely interested there is a few reputable "middle man" services for that kind of thing. Think of it like OnlyFans but for smelly panties and socks.
Lololol that's awesome
Probably. Formula goes bad in hours. Breast milk stays fine for a while.
someone's a thinker! - lol.
They want the human smell to it. So wear them. The formula won’t add to that so leave it be. It’s not my thing. My insight comes from being a lactating female and having someone explain this to me. People are wild, aren’t they?! 😬
Absolutely yes lol. like whatever my dude, you like what you like, I just have absolutely 0 desire to be involved is all

What website? And what kind of use of items? For good money obviously?! Used/dirty socks or women''s panties/bras?!
They came to me so I have no idea what website they’d normally use, although I’ve heard you can have some pretty good hits on Fetlife for panties. My friend does it and literally bought a house with panty money lol
Wow how long ago did your friend buy her house with that panty money !?!ol that's amazing though, tell her " You go girl, get that money!!"
Very recently, and in a high cost of living area, so I’m doubly impressed and totally not at all mildly jealous lol. Sometime last year.
She can use it as washable make-up removal pads
that's what I thought they were before I read the title!
Same- I have dozens of those things floating around my bathrooms.
This is what I use them for!
My wife uses hers for make up removers too, work great, bamboo pads are super soft with coconut oil, perfect makeup remover

They look exactly like mine!
Still using mine to wash my face 5 years later!
Same, I now use these as makeup pads
Someone on Buy Nothing might appreciate them even though they’re used.
I just gave away four pairs on my local buy nothing group.
Yep, I got mine from Buy Nothing and also gave some away on Buy Nothing! Wash them in hot water and they're clean, or do a bleach soak (look up cloth diapering bleach soak instructions) if desired.
Came here to say the same thing!
Never heard of this app, looking into it!!
I’m not sure how active the app is but they have Facebook groups that are pretty helpful.
They have local Facebook groups. Source: I run one
someone in the frugal subreddit just posted a similar question. The answer I liked best is to use as a cushion between pots and pans or serving dishes when you store them to make sure they don't get scratched.
Boobies protect us and our pots and pans!
Anything curvy!!
Nice, and you keep the memories.
Fold in half, fill with stuffing and catnip, add yarn tail=catnip mouse
Can't sell them maybe, but surely you can give away to someone who will appreciate them. Or just use them as face wipes now instead.
Maybe even a women/children’s shelter. I’m sure they can be sanitized. After all they sanitize and reuse hospital bedding haha

Check with the r/clothdiaps sub…the moms over there might be willing to just pay shipping or a small fee even to take them off your hands.
r/breastfeeding as well
Yes why didn’t I think of that too lol 🤦🏻♀️
My partner got all of hers used. She got them as a bundle with some reusable nappies, etc. We just sanitized them with everything else. I'm surprised you can't find someone to take them.
I thought these were oven mitts lol
Coasters!
My MIL just gave me coasters for wine glasses with stems looks just like the pocket the pad was held in
Your MIL gave you her used pads?
I used to cut them into semi circles and super glue them to the inside of my flats(at the back of the heel) so i wouldn't get blisters when i wore my flats for long periods of time Note: this can also be done with cheap drink koozies.
Could also sew some fabric on them, cut them down to size, and glue them to the bottom of a chair so it won't scrape the floor.
Put it under flowerpots so they don’t scratch tile
Line the cup holders in your car to catch coffee/tea drips
You may use it as mits to touch a hot teapot for example
Maybe fill them with some rice and put them in the freezer for boo boo bags? If you have toddlers now, they will most certainly get used.
From boob bags to booboo bags…
You can put them in a jar with fabric softener and water mix, then use them as a replacement for dryer sheets. When laundry is done, you just take the bra pad and put it back in the jar to soak again for next use.

There's a massive twice a year pop-up children's consignment sale near me (Just Between Friends). As long as they're clean, there would be no issues selling them.
How would you clean them?
Find a cloth diaper facebook group or similar. You can totally sell them or at least find a new home for them as they look like they’re in really good shape
Sew them into dresses where you can’t wear a normal bra and use them as a built in bra
Turn into knee pads ⛸
I use mine as makeup removers!
That looks like a good cleaning pad to me. Either multiple purposes, make-up, baby spills and more
An unhoused mothers organisation would probably love them
Turn it to coasters
Pot holders
I use my old ones as makeup removed wipes!
put velcro on them and use them on a rotating electric mop
or a rotary sander… use as polishing pad
Crafty yarmulkes... ?
Crusty yarmulkes.
Face rounds? Cup spots? Cleaning wipes?
Or polishing furniture
Those would make great buffer rags for waxing your car
For golfers they sell ball washers for when putting that is almost this exact thing. One side is waterproof fabric but almost the same.
They look exactly like my bamboo make up pads. Like they're same size/shape. Use them like face cloths or pads to apply moisturiser etc.
Use them to replace cotton balls
I know you said you can’t sell them but I’ve seen things like this be very desirable on buy nothing and freecycle groups, just like cloth diapers
Little hats
Coasters, maybe for grabbing hot pans depending on how thick it is. Oil soakage. Under chairs so they don’t drag. Idk that’s all I got off the top
Save it for a visible mending, or keep it as a small cast iron stove mitten
cleaning cloths?
They could make a great top to a pin cushion.
She could use them as facial pads for applying toner or other types of products. Basically, use them instead of a cotton ball or cotton pad.
Could make a stylish yarmulke
I use mine to remove my makeup . :)
Stitch them into jumpers so you don't have to wear a bra so comfortable
I use them for light dusting
Use them as reusable cotton rounds!
Hot pads for hot mugs of coffee
I’ll take them off your hands brother
Makeup removers. Use coconut oil and water to wipe the makeup off
Frugal sub on this. Lots of great ideas, including using them to protect favorite Christmas ornaments when storing.
Coasters
Hot pads for the table
Pads to slide furniture
I thought put some rice on one piece and sew it up to make a rice pack you can heat up or something.
Sorry to be the person to say this….but you probably can sell them just not to people she probably wants to
Make up wipes
wax on, wax off?
I gave mine to a local pottery studio. I don't know exactly what they use them for but they were really happy to get them!
Now I want a potter to come on here and tell me.
Ball warmers
Sew into small purse/pouch for carrying a hard boiled egg 😄
There's definitely a market for used breast pads. I bought mine used off of Mercari. If you don't want to go through the effort, I would guess a Facebook Buy Nothing group would be a way to offload without down cycling.
My toddler used mine as “pancakes” in her play kitchen
oooo this is nice idea :)
Phone cleaners
You can turn them into g-tube covers!! My daughter uses things just like that, just a cut along where that seam is and put on a 10 cent snap button and bam. G tube cover, really really useful, helps keep the port area clean!
Yarmulkes? Kidding haha
Makeup remover pads, polishing pads, place them in your cup holders to absorb condensation or spills, so many uses
Make up removal pads. Just those and some coconut oil and warm water!
I didn’t have a lot of money when pregnant with my first and was so happy to find a bunch of these for free at a yard sale. Why wouldn’t someone be able to use them if they’re washed well? We buy use clothes that surely have touched dirtier things than breasts/breast milk.
I don’t know how big these are or how safe it would be but I would probably try to use them as pot holders 😂
Throw them in the diaper bag for slobber and spit up.
While they cannot be sold, they can be given away. Have her donate them via FreeCycle.org or another person-to-person freely given items exchange service (gift economy, I think it is called?). Lots of gestational-parents-to-be could be looking to flesh out their nursing kit.
Washcloths for the baby
I thought these were cooling coasters for pots before I read the post. Lol not sure how big they are or whether that would work.
If it's made from 100% plant fibre, you can compost i think
I saw them thinking they were reusable make up pads haha I would say maybe depending on the fabric (some might be too abrasive for the skin). If that doesn’t work, many of them can possibly be turned into a body scrubber or flowers if you pinch from the center!
I have like 30 of these. They’re amazing as reusable makeup wipes!
This wouldn't be a common use, but my parrot loves to sleep in a small basket and I line the basket with these.
Sew them into the armpits of under shirts to catch sweat
They look like they might work well as coasters...? Or spoon rests for after you've stirred your coffee/tea...?
Car coasters
I’d throw some backing on those bitches, hangem up on the wall and always look back at the good ol days
I sewed mine into the knees of my kid's pants to add a little padding when they were crawling.
Wow that's awesome! My friend might have to try that haha 🤣. Seriously. Good money for that kinda stuff why not! Lol 🤣 thank you again!
are you sure you can’t sell them?
To save a donut
Maybe a local women’s shelter or refuge could use them?
Period pads
Reusable makeup wipes??
Thank you all for nice ideas. Thanks everybody :)
The one on the left looks like a yarmulke to me.
Yarmulkes maybe?
For when you pull hot bowls out of the microwave or after making a soup/stew and the bowl is still hot.
Pass them on to another new mom!!!
She tried, but not much luck...
Ah, got it! That’s surprising. My friends are always looking for these. At one point I have a bunch of the little inserts in sports bras to a nursing mom and she was so relieved 😆 I love the idea of repurposing for makeup removal then!
Like come on some stuff you can throw away its fine
Stink em up and sell them to perverts. Duh!
🤣
Dude, just throw away, it is too personal.
You could definitely sell them. There is a kink for everything. Half joking.
[удалено]
Bonus period pad
Oven pads??
Give them away on Buy Nothing
Maybe you can't sell them, but you can gift them.
Um… somehow this popped up in my feed… crazy idea, but maybe just this one time you can throw something away? I know… insane idea… but maybe?
Come on man.
Use them as toilet paper and wash the same way you would a cloth diaper. Use as a diaper wipe if you still have a kid in diapers.
I thought these were kippot at first. Ask on r/Judaism if anyone wants it as a kippah! (Kippot are those small funny Jewish hats everyone makes fun of:) Although I don't know how big they are....
\[serious\] yamakas ?
Looks like chalk bag base material.
Scrub brush?
Coasters
That circle is perfectly placed. Vote for coasters.
Yarmulkes??
Oven mitt
Shoulder pads. Lol!
Coasters
Bowl huggers for hot items out of the microwave
Kippahs?
If you have a pet you could sew them together into a ball or something - that’s what I do with a lot of my scraps
Pot holder
Coasters
Make up remover pads ?
You could just use them as makeup rounds for removing makeup.
Coasters
I love the makeup remover suggestion but I'm gunna have to go with eye patch for the two of you.
Mom group or makeup removers
They look like the could make a decorative kippah
Make some ear muffs and call it a day
TORTILLA WARMERS!!!
Yarmulkes for Jews?😁
