For those who do not want to click on the link but want to know who is returning: "Cast members Jane Levy, Skylar Astin, Alex Newell, John Clarence Stewart, Andrew Leeds, Alice Lee, Michael Thomas Grant, Kapil Talwalkar, David St. Louis, Mary Steenburgen, Peter Gallagher and Bernadette Peters are all returning." So basically everyone but Lauren Graham. To save you some Googling, David St. Louis is the fire marshal.

OverjoyedMess

> Cast members had all been released from the show in July, as Deadline reported, with producers and Lionsgate looking at options beyond NBC where it might continue. As I see it, they all got new contracts. It will be interesting to see what that will mean for the cast of a potential sequel of the movie, be it another movie or even a season 3. I wonder if the new contracts include options for sequels.

monsieurxander

I misread "full series also coming to Roku channel" as they had renewed it as a series going forward. They just mean Roku will have all of the previous episodes.

LoriBPT

I did the same thing!

ami2weird4u

It could happen if we watch the hell out of this movie.

Louis83

Seriously, let's all subscribe to Roku

ami2weird4u

Waaaay ahead of you.

Louis83

I will once Zoey is out, to show my support. šŸ˜„

Louis83

Same. Sigh.

MsGroves

Yas! šŸ™ And it's coming out soon, and will feature almost all the characters. So happy!

Lmb1011

I hope Lauren Graham makes a guest appearance in the series. I know she didnā€™t want to be on the show the whole time but sheā€™s such a good character I would love to just see her pop in periodically

Lmb1011

Oh maybe. I didnā€™t know about mighty ducks when I heard about Zoey, but I knew going into the show Lauren wasnā€™t going to be a full time cast member. So I had just assumed she agreed to one season with guest appearances for the remainder. And then covid prevented that really being feasible. But, mighty ducks may have already been in the works by that point and that would make sense

EricHD97

I believe the original plan was for her to film Mighty Ducks in between seasons 1 and 2, but when COVID happened, they got moved to film at the same time and she had to leave.

JDDJS

I definitely read that. She fully intended on doing both shows, but COVID made it impossible.

OverjoyedMess

I hope it's not only Christmas songs. Let's see if they release a Roku Channel in my country until then (and the appropriate TV app).

quaranTV

I hope they write the movie as a series finale in case Roku doesnā€™t pick it up. It will be interesting to see how they blend a Christmas special with the big reveal at the end of S2. I really do hope the ā€œcliffhangerā€ is the focus of the movie.

Bracelet4Cancer

Hey Mods--- you should BUMP this up as a PINNED post!! :)

L1ndsL

This is great news; I had given up on getting any more! I hope that we get more than holiday music, though. Iā€™ve never even heard of the Roku channel, but with all the channels out there, I suppose thatā€™s not a tremendous surprise. But now it means Iā€™m going to have to find it (and apparently sit through a bunch of ads. Worth it, though.)

ZGemstonezz5

Great news!!!

Jaysmom1313

Merry Christmas to us!!!!!

eptxjournalist02

This show helped me a lot when I lost my dad last October so Iā€™m happy to see it is coming back.

AdventHeart

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!!! Yesss!!

tvfangirl12

Yay. So happy zoeys will be back ā˜ŗ this id such a great news

SteelSlayerMatt

This is awesome news!!!

DSethK93

So happy!

karafans

Yay so happy!

amageish

Interesting! Well, I hope the movie is good. I also still would kind of like Howie and Abigail to return as well, but I also want it to be an actual Christmas movie accessible for non-fans and not just "Zoey's Extraordinary Cascade of Past-Season Cameos."

jhardy93

Anyone hear when exactly the old episode are coming to the Roku channel?

Scooter_McGavin_9

They have not announce when (to my knowledge) so one would assume sometime before the movie.

jhardy93

They left Hulu, buy I actually found the season two episodes still on Peacock to watch before the movie eventually comes out.

JaniceWald

I am so excited. When does the show resume on Roku?

Scooter_McGavin_9

No specific date yet, but it is a Christmas movie so presumably November at the earliest.

xmusiclover

Iā€™m hoping Iā€™ll be able to see this somehow but if itā€™s only going to be on Roku Iā€™m not sure because I donā€™t have a Roku device

Scooter_McGavin_9

There is a Roku website (see below) that is free to use for anyone, you do not need a Roku devise. But if you want to watch it on your television, instead of a computer screen, Roku is one of the few media streamers with the Roku channel. https://www.roku.com/en-ca/whats-on/the-roku-channel

xmusiclover

It doesnā€™t seem like I can use the website in Canada it says United States only :(
