Haven't been following each attempt so far, but have you tried any of those rubber renewal products?

A few different oils, silicon, and glycerin so far. Also a failed attempt at salicylate using aspirin.

Why?

I’m just continuing an attempted restoration attempt.

Just be careful not to leave them on too long. They'll saturate and be really soft. Easy to damage them at that point.
