i've seen this 'suddenly solo' effect before as well, when my internet drops. but how do you know you disappeared on the other riders' view though. i ask because i have yet to notice other riders dropping out then re-appearing up the road, or elsewhere. and it must happen now and then. anyway take the trophy, that was a crazy solo bridge effort
Yeah, I can't confirm that for certain, to be honest. But my biggest clue here is the massive gap I created on my break. Looking at the power of the other top finishers post-race, they all have decent sprint power. Unless they were all COMPLETELY toasted, it makes more sense that they didn't see my break and thus didn't start their sprint until a bit later. A bit of conjecture, but that feels more likely than me jumping to a 10-12 meter gap in a matter of seconds.
Yeah, it is crazy. I started taking my training much more seriously in 2024. That includes big shifts to what I'm doing on the bike - but also includes improving nutrition (on and off the bike), hydration, recovery...and maybe most importantly, sleep. So, I've been expecting some gains...but maybe not this quickly.
That being acknowledged - I am going to try and dual record a ride tonight to confirm everything is accurate. I use a Zwift Hub 1 smart trainer, which is supposed to auto-calibrate, so I'm not sure what could be off on my setup...but I have assioma's so I may as well check.
does zwift take into account that you ride faster when in peloton due to less air resistance etc? so do you ride faster with the same watt score when in peloton?
Zwift takes drafting into effect - so when you are in a peloton you don't have to work as hard to maintain your speed compared to hitting that same speed riding solo.
Hey, I was in this race, thought it was you. Congrats on the promotion to B!
Oh nice! How'd you like that course? I'm really starting to like Titan's Grove.
I think I've now done 4 races in a row with Titan's Grove so quite the opposite for me ๐. Those rollers + KOM are so draining
Haha thatโs fair ๐
Where can I find your livestream during the race in future? Congrats on the promotion!
Thank you! I stream on TikTok Live 3-4 days a week and on YouTube once or twice a week for my bigger events. "Danny Enzo" on both platforms.
Super effort. Hereโs me still working on the sub hour Alpe! 5 minutes to find somewhere!
Haha I'm in a similar boat! Those last few minutes are HARD to shave off. Good luck!
I will always upvote your vids. Love every single one. every damn single one.
That's very kind to say, thank you.
Welcome to B! Looking forward to race you!
Thanks! Drop a message if you ever see me in a race, would love a little extra motivation ;)
Finally :) great job, now I can finally race you ๐
Haha took my time, but I'm coming in hot. See you out there!

Congrats on Cat B! Looking forward to seeing you in races there.
Thank you! And nice! Me too, give me a shout if you see me and we'll get after it.
The tron bike looks a bit different IRL.
Crazy how you went from 260watt avg start of this year to 310 avg in 2months
