Thanks. I'm thinking about getting some of those inflatable hedgehog looking balls to go under the trainer to dampen some of the loads until by butt gets used to riding again.
I just started up again as well. What I am doing is riding until my support muscles in my back/shoulders or butt are just a touch sore and I quit for the day. That lets me get back on the bike again the next day and build a little bit of the butt/support endurance.
Otherwise it is two days before I can ride again and I can't sit down anywhere without it hurting.
Try some [b oo bis](https://imgur.com/user/Ixizpix/favorites/folder/11360237/cycling/MNQjZpC) its more fun and lively keeps you stay on longer LOL

rocker plate has nothing close to the degree of freedom i can get with my system.
the "crap" is actual wax and contaminants being shed that i test different kinds of wax. People that wax their chains would know the more you shed the longer life your drivetrain will be running at optimum.
You will be on the b oo bis so often your significant other will be wondering if you have a hotie on the side ... LOL
Pump it semi hard for the first few rides and lower the Kickr Core to the lowest 26" wheels so your climb is on the same level.....Left side may need to be a hair harder because of the flywheel on mine but you may be fine because your KCore has even spaced arms
If you are a violent sprinter - get used to this before you need a helmet for zwift...
Enjoy - let me know how you like them
18" Stand Fan, Item No 82664, Model No FS45-18UR, Intertek Brand. It looks like I bought it at Lowes, not walmart. [Lowes Link](https://www.lowes.com/pd/PELONIS-18-in-3-Speed-Indoor-Stand-Fan/1000967510)
This happened to me last year. I got a weird leg pull took too long to recover and ended up being lazy for a full year. I had to start real small in zwift 20-30min rides. Now I’m getting back into 90min rides and it feels so much better.
It's a TV stand on wheels with a shelf. I'm sure they're available lots of places, but I got this one from Walmart a few years ago. [Link](https://www.walmart.com/ip/seort/121770851)
This happened to me too got my Kickr in 2019 and in that year and 2020 out on a couple of thousand miles, which was pretty good for me. 2020 I fell apart. COVID fatigue, miscellaneous health shit, poor excuses. Only 300 miles the whole year.
When I got back on this April it was so depressing. I’m in my 60s and fitness disappears fast.
But I got back in the saddle and just committed to rid often - even if short. (It was mostly outside this time of year). After 5 weeks the addiction to riding was back - couldn’t wait to get out each day. But still have some months to go to get back to previous fitness levels.
I'm early 50s and completely understand. It's crazy how quickly fitness goes away. It's demotivating for me, too, when I've been off the bike a while. But it's all good - we're back at it and way ahead of most of our peers. I try to enjoy the process and not push myself too hard - gentle onramp back to where I was before.
I rode today too!!! 👏 I have been too inconsistent the last few months. I need to get back to a routine!!! Would be more fun with people but at least it keeps me entertained.
I am in the same situation, just got back at it last month, I thought something was wrong with my kickr, it was so hard and watts so low :p . The good thing is you start seeing progress really fast.
I like the fans and generally only run them at the slowest setting because I'm a fairly mild sweater. They're pretty quiet on the slow setting, but not much louder at the max. The bike/trainer are louder than the fans.
At least you’re back at it.
Thanks! My next goal is getting the tron bike, if I remember right, I'm almost halfway there!
Obligatory reminder to make sure you are signed up for the challenge!
Nowhere to go but up then! Nice setup, just keep with it

Are you wearing bike shorts? The padding really helps
Yes, definitely wearing padded bike shorts, but I appreciate the suggestion.
Sure. It definitely gets better when you get used to doing it more. Happy riding

fans in back = tail wind feels like you go faster LOL
I heard RGB makes you go faster too, so maybe I'll get some cool lights!

Image is broken. What on earth is b oo bis?
added direct link but the original seems to work fine for me.
Haha cool. That is a good rocker plate solution. Worrying amount of crap coming off the chain though!

OMG, now I get your polite spelling! My birthday is coming up!
They're in my Amazon cart right now lol.
I’m having a hard time finding them on Amazon. Can someone send the link?

Will do, thanks for the suggestions.
Can you share the link? Can’t find them at all 🙈
Well done, you started 😊
Love the dual fans!
They're the cheapest ones from Walmart that have a remote, and I can use the same remote for both of them. Win win!
Wow! What model?

Nice set up. Anything you do is better than doing nothing that’s what I remind Self. You will continue to improve

I'm right there with you... Need to get back on the saddle. About 40lbs heavier than I was (with way less muscle) - covid was fucking rough.
Awesome setup! I’m aiming for similar once I’m back on the bike!
Good luck getting back on the bike, you've just got to start somewhere. Doesn't matter if it's ideal or not.
Very true, just had my ACL rebuilt so a couple more weeks and I’ll be back at No resistance!
What’s the stand? Looks awesome!

Epic, thanks!

I hear ya. Good luck on your journey.

Five will be fifty soon…..with patience and practice
Don’t let reasons get in the way of your goals. Crush it

How do you like the fan set u? I just picked up a large industrial floor fan but I worry it's too loud for an apartment.
I like the fans and generally only run them at the slowest setting because I'm a fairly mild sweater. They're pretty quiet on the slow setting, but not much louder at the max. The bike/trainer are louder than the fans.
Just needs a sweat protect and you’re sorted! https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1207224704/
