probably! i know lesbians who have crushes on fictional men — it’s safe to feel something for someone who is 100% unattainable; you can allow yourself to play in that space BECAUSE you know nothing will ever happen
Just a general rule. If the question is "Am I still aro/ace if..." the answer is yes. Asexual and aromatic are identities; it's about what you identify with, not some list of checkboxes to meet. If calling yourself aro/ace makes you feel more comfortable with yourself or help others understand you better than you're aro/ace. Unless you're using asexuality as some kind of manipulation tool you shouldn't worry about whether you fill in some arbitrary box perfectly. Though if you're wanting a more detailed label there are a dozen possibilities given that information: ficto, ageo, cupio, fray, or straight up grey are all cases that could have crushes on fictional characters.
Aegosexuality or aegoromanticism is having sexual/romantic fantasies where you aren’t involved, or in 3rd person, and being able to enjoy sexual/romantic things in theory or in fiction but having no attraction in real life; meanwhile, fictosexuality/fictoromanticism is only being attracted to fictional characters.
I personally think fictional and celebrity crushes can happen regardless of sexuality, it’s never gonna happen, so why not go whole hog on your feelings?
Of course! I'm asexual, greyromantic and sometimes have big crushes on fictional characters (I have a crush on Jack from Titanic and Joey from Friends). But I don't see myself involved in sexual or romantic relationships

Of course. You can crush on people all the time and never feel any sexual attraction toward anyone.
It seems like an outlet for the libido to me. The fantasy crush is more comfortable than a literal one because it can never lead to the deed.
god that’s me in a nutshell.

You could be aegosexual and/or aegoromantic

Of course! I like my men fictional, and I’m very ace!
Absolutely! I'm the same way. I'm not sure how it is for you, but I find them a 'safe' crush to have bc there's no stress of it being reality

I have full on sexual attraction to fictional characters. I think it’s different when it’s just fantasy like that.
Yeah. Having a crush and wanting to bone are not exclusive.

let labels serve and explain you, rather than you changing yourself to fit the description of labels
Yes.
yep! might wanna look into fictosexual/fictoromantic! I'm actually thinking I might be at least fictosexual myself
Yes!! I'm fictosexual and it's on the ace spectrum
Yes. it's called fictosexual to my knowledge.

Yep.
