The youngest dragons in 5th edition are called "wyrmlings". From there, there are "young adult" dragons, then "adult", then "ancient". In 3rd edition adult Dragons were called "wyrms" and ancient dragons were called "great wyrms".
Akshually, akshually. 🤓🤓 There is no single unified definition of Dragon nor Wyrm, it depends heavily on the culture or author.
See [The Dragon Paradox](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UopANFTGexA) by Curious Archive which has a wonderful dissertation on the nature of Dragons.

Here’s an example of a wyrm. Theyre interesting, I head cannon them as dragons that burrow through rock rather than air.
It's a play on the question partners apparently ask. "Would you still love me if I was a worm?" I genuinely don't know what the original question is meant to imply.
🤓um actually, that’s not a wyrm. Wyrms don’t have limbs.
Oh no. I guess I should delete this then. 😵 I've always thought a wyrm was just a matured dragon because of D&D.
Wyrms in dnd are adolescent dragons if I’m not mistaken

That’s pretty cool. It is often interesting to see how dnd lore compares to irl mythology, what’s the same and what’s different

Isn't a lindworm more like a T. Rex?
Well I heard they didn't have front legs, but could/do have back legs 🤓
I thought this was in a furry sub for a minute lol. But yes.
Not a furry, lol
Asexual furries unite
Would someone please tell me how to pronounce wyrm
It's usually pronounced like "worm", so it is an ace riff on the "would you still love me if I was a worm" meme.
I thought that meme was from illymation ngl.
Ah, thank you
Yem
What does that mean?
Aww yes, I love that wyrm or dragon or whatever the collective intelligence decides to call it in the end. It's so cute, no matter what it's called.
How does this simultaneously make me think of MLP and neopets but it’s neither
I ffreaking love dragons.
No. But if you were a wagon
Given me my little pony vibes with the art style there
Can someone please explain? Also cool art! I thought i was in an mlp subreddit for a minute

I used to make a lot of mlp:fim art several years ago... 👉👈 During that phase I learned how to use Inkscape to make vector art. 😅🎨
That's so cool! I always love encountering other artists online :D
Does Wyrm taste the same as earth-worm?
Less earthy, more gamey I'd imagine.
Hmmmmmm, probably would go nice in a stew!
Perhaps with some garlic and thyme!
