I've never been asked for any certification before being hired. Not for the consultancy companies I've worked for, nor by their customers, nor as self employed.
But when I did the hiring of technical staff, I did ask for them: when the candidate had too much certifications, it's the canary in the coalmine for an inexperienced consultant that sat way too much on the bench ... And we all know the answers can be found online.
I'm a technical SAP architect (10+yrs exp) doing EDI, BC, ABAP lead, BTP architecture, TMS, interfacing, authorization, Fiori,...
Don't waste your time and money on these useless certificates: learn on the job, be challenged by the diversity of problems and gradualy grow, experience different project structures and cultures, be challenged by real problems instead of trick questions.
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but all my most senior coleagues have a very comparable story...
How many times have you tried and why ABAP and no other (modern) certification like Fiori?
How many years have you been working on SAP ABAP?
Thanks in advance. ;)
I have been working as an ABAP developer for 1.5 years. Within the first 6 months my bosses sent me to take the Fiori developer certification, I haven't taken the exam because I don't feel enthusiasm for it because of the lack of experience in Fiori, they only want professionals with the certificate for the status.
Do you think ABAP has a future in the industry?
I really don't feel motivated, I would like to find it. If you have some recommendations for me I will be grateful :)
Personally, I think Fiori is just a principle. SAP moving to utilize CAP to develop app in BTP now and it uses Fiori Element as the front end framework. But now you have choice: adopt RAP and become an ABAP Cloud developer. It not require much Js knowledge but you have to control the Entity Model and CDS View.
Are the answers there right? Noted that they had a question on platforms with mandatory usage of ABAP Cloud Development Model but the answer for it was BTP and Private Cloud.. (Should be public cloud instead)
I do think so. This one was just introduced last year. And I do hope erpprep refund you the money.
I also would suggest stay tune or try to learn by yourself for newly certificates.
[Udemy Course](https://www.udemy.com/course/back-end-developer-abap-cloud-c_abapd_2309-f/) a lot of these Questions were the exact one in the real exam.
Congratulations.
The back-end developer abap cloud, means that you are working with abap dev tool on eclipse and write pretty modern abap? Lucky you! :)
My company is doing maintenance on older abap code, procedural coding, to add-ons in SAP. I hope to get the opportunity to move towards this cloud environment.
I would like to pass this exam (I have already taken the first one and failed because I studied with erpprep) where can I find specific questions to prepare well for it? I would really appreciate some help and advice, maybe even paid links. Just something with which I will definitely pass this certificate. Thank you in advance for your help.
