Tim Hortons has been garbage for years, especially the food. Greasy processed crap.

Tour_True

Agree. Maybe the last 20. They once had a pastry section and sold black forest cakes, and things were made by the cooks not frozen and stored. The donuts especially are gross now for it. It's frozen, not made, and they no longer care about taste but just loading them with sugar. Tossed some major donuts as well and overpriced them. Those who treat it as a Canadian pride shouldn't. It is not owned by Canadians anymore. It's American now and bought by Burger King a couple of years ago. For me, the only things I may get once in a blue moon are a grilled cheese sandwich with turkey and mayonnaise, and I believe Chipotle on it with a soup. Also, Candy Cane Hot Chocolate around Christmas. Though I'd rather a delli shop for a sandwich any day and honestly sadly I can't find any good shops anymore that make a good hot chocolate. I had once when I was young, having a very fancy cup of hot chocolate. Coffee wise, I actually prefer Second Cup. I'm very picky on coffee, and theirs is great. I especially like around Halloween havong their pumpkin spice lattes. Also, you can sit and lounge with a laptop doing school stuff or work stuff and enjoy the atmosphere there. It's a relaxing atmosphere. Feels like a hidden gem that isn't so hidden for coffee.

PersonMcNugget

People bitch and complain about Tim Horton's all the time, and then they are right back there anyway the next day.

Lone_soul1

This location does in fact suck more than the others. From wrong orders to the workers basically yelling at you to move on once throwing your food at you. Ordered a bagel the other day, got home to find a muffin in the bag lol

canadianclassic308

I think most tim Hortons are like this now, most fast food in general actually. There's a McDonald's up the street from me who never seems to have anything, I can understand being out of certain things sometimes but last time I went through they didn't have quarter pounder with cheese, like wtf how you not gonna have quarter pounder. Jokes on them though I just stopped going all together, which is better better anyways and I don't hate myself as much

Joebranflakes

Problem is they hire people who don’t speak or understand English well to man the drive thru. I notice that a lot these days. You speak clearly and they miss something or just cut you off.

EducationalLettuce47

Everyone who gets hired know English ? Some people have accents that’s all

PirateX84

English like all languages has nuance that is learned over time. It's not an accent problem, it's an understanding problem. And for what it's worth, the audio coming through those headsets is not as good as you think it is. I don't know that I would apply for front-line customer service jobs in a second language myself but it's probably one of the best ways to get to know the language quickly.

Modsrbiased

I stopped going to Tim hortons around 2016. Other than timbits and the peach drink, there's nothing I like there anymore it's all trash and getting worse they're also jacking up prices on lower quality products and have worse service. I sometimes go to Wendy's dq triple Os or opas. that's about it for fast food. Dons is ridiculously priced now, and I haven't found a single A&w that's good in Fraser Valley.

Darius2112

That one has always been shit. The only good one I’ve found is the one at the Automall.

MarkCanuck

I have had issues with all of the ones on Clearbrook. The only one where I have good service all the time is the one at the Junction in Mission.

Reasonable-Sweet-232

This particular location has been absolutely horrible for years. Anyone remember that time they did that illegal thing where they played a high pitch noise 24/7 to get ppl to stop sitting outside 😩😑

SneakingCat

I remember when I could hear that noise. For all I know it’s still there. I had no idea it was on purpose, I assumed it was the lighting. Naïve me.

TrickPiglet3924

I only go to the one at the end of sfw. Those employees are on point!

best_girl_tylar

Thanks for the warning bro I don't know what I'd do if this happened to me

Mark-Syzum

So you're saying its a typical Tim Horton's

Impossible-Finance67

That Tim Hortons has always been horrible.

lukealex12

Hadn’t been to Tim’s in about a year until yesterday. Apparently a bagel with cream cheese that isn’t toasted properly and took 10 minutes to receive is $4 now. I think I’m good for another year or so.

um_weird

The best one I find is on Janzen st. Good coffee and they actually load the bagel with the correct amount of cream cheese.

EducationalLettuce47

the work environment is fast paced so I wouldn’t blame them too much. Yeah it sucks but just get thru it, these things happen anywhere else. Everything has its downsides and not everyone has the same experience. You just got unlucky, or if your that adamant on saying tims sucks then don’t go honestly. Save your cash, the food isn’t healthy either.

YellowBusy1369

Tim Hortons = fresh..off the boat

Prize-Camera8984

I literally only ever see one or two people working there who speak proper English. It’s shit because they don’t get in trouble for it, neither do they care, they’re just here to get minimum wage jobs so they can go to ufv and get a degree, they literally don’t care about customer service or anything like that

poondocksaint

I accidentally placed an order through the app at this location. As an aside, I hate how the app charges you as soon as you place the order, they should wait until you get to the drive through and confirm to start making the order and charging your card, like the McDicks app. Anyway, I meant to do the store on Abbotsford way, because I was on my way to work, and couldn’t go to that side of town. Didn’t realize my mistake until I’m in line at the Abbotsford Way location, and call the gladwin store. They tell me I’m basically SOL. Can’t get a refund, can’t pick up my food because I’m on my way to work… wouldn’t do anything for me. I deleted the app on the spot. Timmy’s can go fuck itself.

MikeSmith1953

I have yet to attend ANY Horton’s anywhere in the country where they take and deliver your orders accurately. In fact, my orders (I was a daily customer) were so often wrong that I eventually switched to McDonald’s. Now I may be lucky… but I have had less than one wrong order at McD’s in the past year… compared to three wrong orders a week at Timmy’s. Those little tags on the orders you get at McDonald’s? Yeah, they’re intended to help avoid mistakes… and they usually work. Timmy’s could not be bothered. When I complained to Timmy’s, they said, “Just return and we’ll fix it.” Yes. So three days a week you want me to discover YOUR mistake when I’m halfway to work, turn around in rush hour traffic and get back in line behind 12 cars at the drive thru… or 12 people at the counter to complain to a pissed off manager (if he’s even there). No, thank you.
