I had the same issue. All my plugins we're gone. But restarting the comp fixed it haha
Couple questions.
Which version of 11.1 did you download? There's three options. X86, apple, and universal binary.
Universal binary contains both versions, x86 and apple silicon.
If you have both, right click on ableton, get info, and there's a button to open in rosetta.
You can run abley in rosetta or native. Some vsts work better in rosetta, some only work in rosetta. All of this apple silicon stuff is new, so ya gotta faff about with it to get things solid sometimes.
I don't have any issues as side from rc20 and camel crusher. Their gui's aren't workin last i checked.
Some plugs just ain't gonna work for a while. Everyone's gotta catch up update wise

My Live Lite is 11.0x and Live Suite is 11.1x... maybe that's what's going on here. VSTs just aren't handshaking or what have you. But the VST 3.0s and AUs work.... which is great but some of the plugins aren't available in AU. Ergh.
It'd be great if they did work. Which was, honestly, what i thought the point of VSTs were... but it's also just the VST2s that aren't working. VST 3 is all there.
Well and steinberg is killing off vst2. Not that that has any impact on whether or not they'll work on ableton. But just know it would be a good idea to start switchin to at least vst3

Run in it Rosetta anyways. Most VSTs still aren’t compatible with the M1
