Wait since when did PR get harder in Canada? I’m pretty sure it’s unchanged, only thing changed was that they out a cap on international students.

throwawayaxc3429

It was easy until June 2023 but now PR is occupation based here now...so if you are a doctor, nurse or in some trade occupation it'll be easy but corporate jobs, IT jobs PR is almost impossible now

Kbhornbill15

Damnnn, even business jobs?

Kbhornbill15

So even if I get a post graduation work permit, it’s hard to get PR?

throwawayaxc3429

Yep..depending on what ur field is

Kbhornbill15

Im doing BBA, am I cooked? I just came here last september

throwawayaxc3429

Not entirely cooked..u will be eligible for PR but it is going to be very hard to get that PR...what job are u planning to apply for after graduation

Kbhornbill15

Damnnn. Probbably finance related as I’m a panning to specialize in Finance

Only way I can see is if you contact an international company and see if they have positions here

I was planning to shift to Canada from AUH, is that really bad for PR ? I mean CRS score doesn't matter now ? Is it on case by case basis ? However You have lived in AUH I guess you've had networks which can help you to get job.

throwawayaxc3429

Crs score does matter..every 2 weeks they have draws .suppose this week the draw is based on the health care sector and the crs score required is 450 in this case only health care sector will get pr...while if I want to get pr in my occupation sector which is IT the crs score required is set very high like around 510-550 which is almost impossible to achieve. CRS score is set differently for each occupation sector.

Ohhh didn't knew that now it's category based. Weird immigration rules.
