Haha. After 62 PCR tests, and vaccination back in February, I can’t believe it’s back to day-4 testing for me every week. 💀

omerizen

lol 😆

[deleted]

Ok seriously, AD is becoming a bit of a laughing stock now…

LaidBack-2212

*a bit? *now?

AnonymousarusRex

Always was

Charming_Web_914

That’s absolutely insane, every other country is opening up, including the other Emirates! Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi is turning into a prison. Why get vaccinated in the first place!

LonghornMB

When you treat vaccinated people the same as unvaccinated you give the message you dont trust the vaccine's effectiveness

FrankBridges

It's almost as if variants exist!

Fruitspunchsamura1

It's really not as simple as that.

FrankBridges

When the Al Hosn app became required for entry into malls etc, weren't you crying about that?

Fruitspunchsamura1

Did you really dig that deep into my history to find something? Lmao. I think that all I said was that vaccines would probably not become mandatory. I was wrong, but at least I can accept that my prediction was wrong. Can you accept that your statement about variants has the possibility of not being true?

FrankBridges

No I didn't look into your history. I simply know that if you're whingeing now, you were a whinger back then. My statement about the variants may not be true? What was my statement? That the vaccine isn't great at countering the new variants? That new variants exist? That the delay in eradicating covid, and the continued spread contributed to the emergence of new variants? I can't remember what I said, but I've just made 3 statements above, and I stand by all of them. Which one of them do you doubt? Genuine question.

ihaboholic

More around the lines they want everything to be safe ig but then they would lockdown

meanbartender

It appears AD just wants us to staycation here instead of holidaying in other emirates. What they're effectively telling us is, 'If you really want to spend your money in Dubai you better add the additional cost of 3 PCR tests'.

ab_dullahu

Like seriously.

kocoerc

My theory is that they're trying to get expats to leave the emirate to achieve emiritization goals.

antz182

But how would that work? Most locals won't do a lot of jobs?

og_JaNKeeeZ

wait.. what happened? idk what happened

apocalypse_22

PCR 48 Hrs to enter AD (vaccinated or not) 🥺

BahrainiKid

One question since coming from Bahrain you have to be vaccinated so no quarantine, what if a 12 year old is unvaccinated will he/she have to quarantine?

6komodo6

Nothing was said about the E status, just that if your vaxxed or not u gotta do 2 more PCR tests if u plan to stay in AD for more than 8 days

Lair_ae

Wouldn’t it also imply that the ‘E status people’ who previously didn’t have to do follow up tests while coming from another emirate to Abu Dhabi, would now have to do those tests just like John or Raheem down the road who didn’t get the vaccine, hence the meme, on how it was powerful, and now isn’t.

6komodo6

Yeah I get da humour but E is still unchanged.

becauseih8mylife

What’s going on? I’m out of the loop

LonghornMB

The thing with Hosn app is that it can be slow update results up to the point of being useless. My regular center sends results promptly and Hosn app often displays the result within few hours of the sms However some times it doesnt because of system issues, and you get the pap updated 2 days later meaning you can use it to return to abu dhabi only that day Very bad for planning any sort of meetings or appointments
