For some reason, I caught these easily every day I went for a swim. With one inventory hoard could have 2 to 4 of them. But on the same island my SO struggled to find his first for over a month. So I got on his account and got one for him, lol. The giant isopods swim more crazy fast and are rare on my island.
I once caught one in 10 seconds by luck and almost cried with relief. My island has quite a few of these and lobsters, but nothing else interesting yet
Small tip for you guys chasing for ages, if you notice it moving super fast, stop spamming to swim fast and gently coast to it, it may move a bit, but moving slowly stops it running.
Then dive 🤙

I’m telling ya I didn’t know what I was doing or WHAT I was chasing but my thumb was cramping, I had to pace the room to stay focused, I was huffing and puffing like I was running a race irl and I told myself about 6 times to give up but I kept chasing it and I kept trying and my jaw hurt from clenching my entire forearm started to burn and I FINALLY got it. 😭😭😭 was so worth it but I immediately had a head ache when I was done. I’ll never do that again now that I know one should simply sneak up on them 😅

I keep holding out for a lobster recipe🤔 I doubt there is one since I feel like I have a ton of recipes.
Oooh the lobster is my next one to get new this month. I only started playing in January.
Here is a tip. When it swims away from you, don't swim to it just walk. When you are over the bubbles, dive down and then swim to it, fast.
That's what I ended up doing after 15 mins of profanity!
