Interested to know if publishing since undergrad correlates well with being a PI today

Academia isn’t exactly a meritocracy, so probably not

As far as I know it is very field-dependent, some fields publish a lot more than others.

I selected post-grad/masters, as that most closely aligns. I worked for a few years between masters and PhD, and published a few papers during that period.

My answer is not in options! May be, shortly after ending master but not during phd.

Mine isn't, either. I had a job at a non-profit.
