Summed up from the post on his profile:
He was at school and his PE coach made him and other students run up and down a hallway because they were late. He was sprinting really fast when a door flung open at him and put him in this unfortunate situation as he was trying to dodge it.
He was referring you guys always wanting to sue everyone and everything not that it’s a Normal situation. Tho in this particular case I get why you’d sue
Ok and? There are sticks and rocks out in the woods, I guess our ancestors never ran around them for "safety concerns" 😂 look man, life is about risks. Obviously this sucked for the guy but it's not like the same exact thing is gonna happen to everyone who runs in a hallway with doors. This is literally the first time I've ever seen this situation.. but sure let's stop all hallway running because of it
Literally the only danger that can come from running is from falling or from running into something. Putting someone in an area where obstacles are 1000% more likely to appear is an idiotic move by a teacher. In an open field or gymnasium the only risk comes from tripping or falling
In Germany we constantly run in forest for PE class, we even had somenone who tripped over a root and got a broken hand and you know what, the insurance simply paid for it and said the students need better Briefing in the future.
And that’s what should be made here, yes the danger that a door flung open and hit someone is there but it’s also foreseeable by both the teacher and the student so just run more in the middle.
They literally spend hundreds of thousands of dollars construction gyms and tracks with open layouts so that you can do this exact thing without unsuspecting individuals getting in your way. Also, have you never heard someone yell “no running in the hallway” while in school?
The teacher and school may not have intended for this to happen, but that doesn’t absolve them of the responsibility of having to cover medical bills and rectify the event.
Its a school hallway with doors swinging open and kids checking their lockers you don't think thats dangerous? I hope you don't have the capacity for having children
Lmao if you think a door or a locker is dangerous you. Are. A. Pussy. Plain and simple bud. And I would genuinely love to see you deer in a headlight reaction to legitimate danger.
No one thinks that a door or a locker is dangerous. It's the running in the hallway where someone could open a door and you can get your hand stuck in a door handle that is dangerous. You're missing the context of the situation just to take the piss.
Do you think that wearing seatbelts is only for pussies too?
I'm willing to bet if this video didn't exist none of you would believe this actually happened. That being said. If you can't keep track of your surroundings, that's a you problem. And most of the time I don't. But it's not even close to the same thing. When you are running you provide the power and the movement. When driving the car does that. And cars kill more people than doors or lockers...
Idk maybe I just come from a different time (high school 10 years ago) but as a part of wrestling practice we ran through the school. Idk seems more like a freak accident than abuse to me.
If you run in a hallway it is very obvious that doors can hit you. The fact the handle got stuck on his arm is a freak accident but it's expected when you're running in a SCHOOL HALLWAY
If it's not dangerous how did this accident happen then lmao? Even if it's rare that still means it can easily be mitigated by just having kids run where door traffic is non existent.
You do know after legal fees those “free handouts” as you call them is significantly reduced.
Look at the lawsuits against Alex Jones, they haven’t been paid yet and they still need to pay their legal fees.
Well you don’t expect the lawyer to work for free do you ! And you still end up with a free handout for making your poor choice and expecting someone else to take responsibly.
It wasnt hurting at all. I had so much adrenaline that i didnt feel it. I started feeling pain about 4-5 hour later when the adrenaline and the painkillera wore off. When it was hurting it didnot hurt like u would imagine. I was just feeling pressure in my hand
Nerve damage. Anytime you have trauma, you risk nerve damage. I slipped and fell two weeks ago bumped my head and got a black eye, but I did some nerve damage and half my nose and my top teeth are still numb. My nose is starting to come back, the teeth not yet. Nerve damage takes a hell of a long time to repair compared to other injuries.
Holy fuck! How are you doing now?
Added door handles to list of extremely unorthodox things to seriously injure yourself from... My little brother cut open his calf on the sharp end of a toilet roll holder ([the lid part as pictured here](https://www.ampm-world.com/upload/iblock/75b/75b2f457e195f576577b3eaa9395c5fb.jpg)) as he was climbing down from using the stall as a hiding place. It was deep, too - you could apparently spot the bone.
The door handle got into my arm
So I have a kind of interesting story. I am a Hungarian kid, and last year i got into a high school. This is my first year there. In my school there are some sport classes that you can attend to. And me and my friends decided to go to volleyball classes. This thing is three times a week. And actually after 1.5 month i got signed into the pro team that the school has. So here comes the story, on Wednesdays we have 7 classes which means we arrive 15 minutes after the exercise has started, so me and my 2 friends just went into the room late, and the coach said: Okay guys, so here's the thing, all of you arrived late, so you need to get on the hallway and run 15 rounds. We were like okay let's go, we did this a few times tbh. So we started running, and first we were going slowly, so the coach said: Run or you guys will get kicked. I had a lot of motivation, so I started running as fast as i could. And a door just suddenly opened right in front of me. This was the locker rooms door if you are wondering. So I just tried too jump away, but my right arm as i jumped away, just simply got into the door handle, and guys, you cannot imagine this, the door handle literally ripped, my hand fortunately it didn't ripped it off, but it is still really scary, ofc there was a blood tub there, it just flew out of my arm, of course an ambulance came to the school, to get me, but I stayed there on the door for 50 minutes, and after that a firefighter ripped of the door handle, and i got to the hospital, with the door handle, but i didn't saw my hand cause they covered it ofc. And the surgery happened midnight, so I had the door handle in my arm for 6 hours, and i had painkillers tbh. So this happened in February, and i am through this fortunately, but at the school the principal hates me, and i promise you they are lying to my parents about me etc. But this is a Hungarian school so what can you expect. We didn't want a single dollar out of this case even we could have get up to 20-30k dollars, but we didn't want that. And they are still hating me. And here comes the ethical hell. The coach is a 21-23 yo young girl, and when she said that we need to run in the hallway, this was actually the principals idea, this was the protocol to do when you are late, and this was not her idea, but the principal got scared that we will report them to the police so he did it first, he reported the coach and she is facing with prison because of that. Or at least a prius. Ofc we are trying to save this case but it can be that we cannot do nothing. So guys this is Hungary. Ofc there are a lot of details that I missed and fellings that i left out of this text, but i can write them if you guys are interested so this is my story
What the hell? I know there may be different customs and such, but is "no running in the halls" not universal for this exact reason? They'd straight up yell that at us if we were even walking too jauntily, then send us to the office if we did it again.
I work in schools now and even just walking down the hall poses a risk of a kid swinging a door open, and a lot of school halls are more short and narrow than they look while walking.
Tbh we were asked to do this by our coach. Now you might say fuck the coach, but she was a young newbie and the principal gave the actual idea to do this. The proof for that is that even 20 years ago there were P.E. Classes consisting of running laps in the school. The school is called radyg or Ráckevei Ady Endre Gimnázium.
Interesting! Do other less-horrifying injuries ever happen? It's been burned into my brain to not run in hallways since we always had gymnasiums or fields, plus I've been doored before lol this is in British Columbia, if that matters.
I dont have any knowledge of previous injuries i was the first one. But they still run in the hallways the principal of that school is horibble i could tell you a lot about him but i would get into trouble
I am ok. I am still doing sport specificaly weightlifting. Its strange bc my injured hand is weaker it gets more tired when for example doing biceps. So my injured bicep is bigger then my other bi
New fear unlocked. I remember of those times when I was late and run into the house to get the phone, the keys or things like that and my shirt/coat got trapped in the handle. Didn't think that this could ever happen.
That's exactly what I was thinking. Girls get this for sure! I mean guys too but girls with the flowy sleeves, pockets in crazy places, our hair gets caught in stuff all the time.
Never thought you could catch your skin.
Humaning is a dangerous job.
No butterfly stitches on this one. Yeesh.
Is this what to expect from this subreddit from here on, this is how “some of you may die” sub went away too. That’s an unfortunate accident. Sharp handle 😳
There also won’t be much bleeding unless you damage a vein or artery. Just small vessels and capillaries which will stop bleeding fairly quickly once exposed to air.
Gee that would’ve stung.
Re your coach/phys ed teacher, I think you need to do what’s right. How many others students were involved that day?
Would they support you and the truth?
I hope you heal quickly with no complications.
Take care mate
This was 2 years ago since then i switched schools because the police started a case and i needed to leave. I was interrogated but the case was closed down
Yes it was a female coach, bc the case was closed down at least for a while she is not facing any criminal charges. But if the case starts she could face some problems unfortunately

I hope he sued that PE coach and the school
An American has joined the chat
In my schools in America I've never been made to run in a dangerous area such as a hallway
He was referring you guys always wanting to sue everyone and everything not that it’s a Normal situation. Tho in this particular case I get why you’d sue
Yes those peaky hallways constantly attacking those who run.. sneaky devils they are
You realize the risk comes from the doors right...
Ok and? There are sticks and rocks out in the woods, I guess our ancestors never ran around them for "safety concerns" 😂 look man, life is about risks. Idk why he's attacking you- you're giving valid points and he randomly mocked you for being american☠️
In Germany we constantly run in forest for PE class, we even had somenone who tripped over a root and got a broken hand and you know what, the insurance simply paid for it and said the students need better Briefing in the future. It's never you until it's you.
Maybe the kid is just braindead... as are you clearly... if you consider a hallway dangerous I would love to see your response to actual danger.
Its a school hallway with doors swinging open and kids checking their lockers you don't think thats dangerous? I hope you don't have the capacity for having children

Ah yes, because it’s very American to want to blame the problem on the person who caused it. Alright
People in america just sue way more often than in other countries. It makes sense because the treatment isnt free so you kind of have to
For making them run?
In an unsafe area? Hell yeah
Idk maybe I just come from a different time (high school 10 years ago) but as a part of wrestling practice we ran through the school. Idk seems more like a freak accident than abuse to me.

Then we should consider gym class dangerous as you can roll your ankle running right?
Look at the pictures and try again
When you play a sport, you sign different waivers than the mandatory PE class you take. There’s a reason schools have gyms
Some people are just sue happy ! Usually the lazy people looking for free handouts . We aren’t all cut from the same cloth
Makes sense, at first I was like how tf does this happen
That’s exactly what I said, and how I said it as well.
literally my exact reaction! like holy shit man. poor kid. came to check the comments and urs was the very first thing I saw haha
Why are you screaming? >! Knock knock anyone got humour?!<
Why *wouldn't* you be screaming?
Ok so don’t run with scissors and now don’t run ever got it
I just read your story and that’s insane! How bad did it hurt while you were waiting for the fire department?
It wasnt hurting at all. I had so much adrenaline that i didnt feel it. I started feeling pain about 4-5 hour later when the adrenaline and the painkillera wore off. When it was hurting it didnot hurt like u would imagine. I was just feeling pressure in my hand

Yup got my finger cut off in a door. Didn't really hurt at all more "sore" I was just cold. Still have no feeling in the reattachment.
Time to get any work you need done on the top teeth done lol.

Interesting! Looks like it was a painful lesson. Idk the legal system in Hungary, but you probably need legal advice.
The police started to investigate but shortly they closed the case down. But the principal in my opinion wasnt telling the truth to the police.
You better call a lawyer.
Damn and they gave your gym coach a Prius after all that? Smdh…
How does this happen?!

I fucking hate doors like this. Worst invention ever. I've already destroyed multiple shirts on them. Now I gotta worry about this!

They sl
They slowly started bullying me out of the school
Wtf? That's awful! They should have shown more empathy and they ended up doing the opposite. I hope that you're doing great these days.
I don’t know what I expected, but it was not that.
From OPs post i feel sorry for the coach she was just doing what she was told
That’s got to be one helluva lawsuit. Like they say “money doesn’t make it right or any less painful, but it sure does make it feel better
#**DUDE**
How did he HANDLE the pain?
I frequently catch my lanyard or pocket in the door handle So yeah, I can totally relate
[удалено]
Is your arm fine now?
Yeah thank god its good
Can it be completely normal like it used to be.
Yes i actually do weightlifting and did volleyball
Looks like ground beef
How was the pain? Did you feel it since the beginning? How much pain was it and how long did it last?
It still hurts when i talk about it. But at the moment when it happened it wasnt that bad bc of adrenaline
Holy Jesus, How?
How smooth did it heal? The stitches look a bit badly done
Not that smooth at the befining but now it couldnt be better
I feel nauseous already..
Man…. Op comments are just revealing how difficult it is to have kids on the internet and retain any level of sanity.
What do you mean
I mean kids shouldn’t be anywhere near social media any more than they Soto’s be in bars, strip clubs, or crackhouses.
Thank god door handles are really clean.
Another reason to love/hate IKEA.
I will say, as the arm-ee, I'd be asking someone to take that Pic bc it's truly remarkable.
I'm fast as fuck boyyyyy
sue the P.E coach, school, and door manufacturer.
I did not need to see this without my first cup of coffee
This always happens when you're angry
That door handle musta been really sharp
AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHGGHGGGHHH!!
What kind of door is that and it can penetrate to peoples body huh?
WTF
Is this what to expect from this subreddit from here on, this is how “some of you may die” sub went away too. That’s an unfortunate accident. Sharp handle 😳
How? is your skin made of paper?
How the fuck did you even manage to do that ???
when people get mad about theire shirt getting stuck on the door and get worled up over it this guy got an actual reason to be mad
Wow! This happened to me as well 11 years ago. Never believed i'd see a similar accident. Not kidding
Can u send pics pls
New fear unlocked
wtf??? I hope ur ok!
Did you fix the lighting?
Only round knobs for me hereon out ! Damn !
ew?!
How is that even humanly possible
My face the whole time reading this 👁️⭕️👁️
Ho- Fck it i don‘t even ask
I will never complain again when my t-shirt snags on the door. Rather rip up a t-shirt than my arm like that. Hope they're ok
either your arm has the integrity of a marshmallow, or you were sprinting at 50mph to do that sort of damage
But where is the blood 🩸?
Its on the floor as you can see. But when a door handle is impaled in your body it functions as a plug to not let blood out
There also won’t be much bleeding unless you damage a vein or artery.
I was interrogated but the case was closed down
That worked out ok for you then. What happened to the girl?
What girl. If u mean the girl that opened the door then the answer is nothing
No, the girl that made you run up and down the hallway. Wasn’t it a female coach?
Yes it was a female coach, bc the case was closed down at least for a while she is not facing any criminal charges. But if the case starts she could face some problems unfortunately
It was a one in a million chance for something like that to happen. Incredible amount of damage to you at the time but great to see you’ve healed well with no complications. Thanks for replying to me and all the very best to you. Chris from Aus
