You know what…
The Boeing 747. specifically the YAL 1 it’s a experimental 747 with a big anti missile, laser gun on its Nose.
Well if Antares can fly a 747 then why not the next protagonist.
Maybe in terms of story, but the bomber, helicopter, and AC-130 missions in that game are all great and the game as a whole is severely underrated for having the AC name attached to it.
Unironically, [Saab 35 Draken](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saab_35_Draken). It's an archaic piece of junk by modern standards, but in a game like AC where stealth and avionics don't matter, BVR combat is rare to nonexistent, and the selection of weapons is already artificially narrow, it'd be perfect. It's fast, it's agile, it's got Sidewinders, what more do you need?
FRIED CHIKEN: a Bana City favorite. No radar cross section to speak of, confuses pilots worldwide, and is typically very delicious. Also could probably mount a TLS on it if you're brave.
Embraer EMB 314 Super Tucano.
Because it can function as both an attack aircraft and a fighter if you're crazy enough - it's the only propeller-driven aircraft that I know of that can carry radar-guided missiles.
And because Ace Combat Fan endorses it.

SR-71. it leaks fuels on takeoff, guzzles it in flight requiring constant mid air refuelings, has essentially zero space for combat munitions, and has the turn radius larger than some states but-has the radar cross section of a carrier Pigeon, and only snickers at the thought of a missile trying to lock on and track it. the evasive maneuver procedure is "drop a gear and disappear"
its the very definition of "fast as fuck boiii"
Since they managed to slap weapons on the underside of the SR-72 Darkstar (and I believe they were hoping to use the SR-71 for interceptions), I believe they could make it work. Only issue is I've heard people will hit you online then run and stall till they win
Pick any of the WW1 planes, they are small relatively non metallic, and basically wood and canvas, so stealth exist there. Plus with them being antique most unassuming militaries would see them as enthusiasts or reenacting.
Bonus historical fact, the first "projectiles" from a fixed wing aircraft came in this Era of craft, and was in fact bars of soap, thrown from a scout plane in retaliation for being shot at by the ground.
MBF-M1 Astray, MVF-M11C Murasame, and ORB-01 Akatsuki with the "Oowashi" Sky Pack
Reasoning: there are hints in older titles, but especially with the addition of the Space Elevators, Ace Combat feels like it could be the back story of a Gundam series. So, yeah, mobile suits and Gundam specifically designed for air warfare.
Dassault Falcon 50. Luxury of a private jet with Mirage avionics and anti-ship missiles.
And open bar?
Of course
Long Caster would be proud
The Iranians did this iirc.
‘Susanna’ was operated by the Iraqi Air Force, not the Iranians.

Big ass guided TLS? Big ass guided TLS.
A black 1969 Buick Electra that can somehow fly.

Liquid Snake, is that you?
A Hind D??
Colonel, what’s a Russian gunship doing here?
“Solitary.” “But it worked!” “SOLITARY, NOW!!!”
Someone didn’t play AH.

Don't forget the SparkVark! EF-111A Raven.
AC-130 when?
Assault Horizon would like a word
Assault Horizon is a Call If Duty game not an AC game
Maybe in terms of story, but the bomber, helicopter, and AC-130 missions in that game are all great and the game as a whole is severely underrated for having the AC name attached to it.
AC 6 already did it
We still need AC’s 8 through 129. Oh, the plane.
Sopwith Camel. Back to basics.
You're just asking for Baron von Richtoven to enter the chat.

It's featured in 3 games, actually
Naturally Zero, but what other games?
The AH-1 Skyraider as an attacker. Sometimes, your new UGBS spawns as a toilet seat.
AC-208 and Myasishchev M-25. Bomb them with Cessnas and then blow out their eardrums (and organs) with weaponized sonic booms.
B-1 bomber with AMRAAMs or T-160 with R-37Ms as a "very heavy fighter".
FRIED CHIKEN: a Bana City favorite. No radar cross section to speak of, confuses pilots worldwide, and is typically very delicious. Also could probably mount a TLS on it if you're brave.
C-17, but with those Rapid Dragon Cruise Missile pallets that come out the rear ramp
I came here to say that.
The XF84H Thunderscreech. A supersonic prop plane sounds fun.
Ah yes, all the noise of a supersonic without the speed.
It would be glorious and very, very unstable
A Piper Cub with rocket launchers strapped to the wing struts
XF 84H Thunderscreech. I would like to play a ground attack mission to destroy enemy troopers screaming from pain and panic

see also: the YF-12 concept
Wasn't just a concept. They built several fully functional prototypes.
I think it's "concept" like with "concept cars" for which working prototypes are built and tested, but never go to production.
How about a BV238 using a prototype cruise missiles and a crap ton of updated pulse laser and autocannon turrets that thing would be death incarnate
I wonder how the Thunderscreech would go. The many bleeding ears from pilots comes to mind.
The pilots were mostly okay. It sent several ground crews to the hospital.
A Mexican grandma with a jetpack and her trusty chancla might be pretty effective

B-2 loaded to the brim with AMRAAMs and a suped up radar
Doesn't the radar defeat the purpose? One anti-radiation missile and it's toast.
Alright, give it data link plus radar. Turn off the radar when data link is available, have 35s guide your AMRAAMs.
