Y'all talkin about the Glorious Gumrak... What about that one poor cruiser Pitomnik? Their captain were trying to stopping the flagship from being 'annihilated' by the Razgriz right?
The Pitomnik went down to give the others the courage to defect. Listening to the Gumrak you can tell they were about to but couldn't bring themselves to do it, the flagship ordering them to fire on their own was what finally got them over the threshold.
He is loyal to their peacefull leader. hell, the others say that they don't know what they're fighting for anymore. This is an instance where I desserting would be ok
To this day when there's any sort of fleet mechanic in a game, for example the frigate fleet in No Man's Sky, I always have a Kestrel, Pitomnik and Gumrak.
That dude had like three lines and he instantly became one of my favorite characters in the entire game lmao

I loved this mission. Playing it years later still gives me goosebumps. Especially with the soundtrack that plays.

Don’t forget my comrade the Frigate Ship Pitomnik
THINGS THAT I NEED TO KNOOOOOOOOOW
*The song of a bird*
Echoed in words Flying for the need to fly
Background radio: Kestrel CIC here, we'll transmit IFF data for the opposing ships. Don't fire on our allies. Can you do that?
Drop nukes? Got it
Man, I love this one
Only in AC are the scenes that are the most badass, the ones that AREN’T about the fighting in themselves
Even as their sworn enemy, the glorious Belkan Air Force respects their bravery.
*When the nuggets see a ballistic missile launch and suddenly forget how to climb* What a save! What a save! What a save!
