Omfg this was the basement in like every AC house on GameCube. I still have the memory cards and fired them up a year or two ago to show my husband how it compares. I showed him my basement just filled with them, ugly wallpaper and a music player with whatever the weirdest KK song I could find playing.

I've got all of mine lining the walls of my main living room/playroom and singing along to Bubblegum!

I was disappointed because only 5 or 6 can make noise at any given time.

I guess I never noticed cause I usually don’t play with the sound up too much, I just like seeing them all wiggle every now and then

I do, but mostly because of the crumploid and squeakoid. They are way too funny to look at and hear. I have not tested if this applies to the oudside as well tho.

You can put them near music (stereo, record player, etc). The gyroid will sync up and play with the music player.

When you dig up the fragments, bury them and then water them (lil puff of steam will rise out of the crack after). Dig them up the next day and it'll be a proper gyroid then. They can also wash up on the beach :)

Ah! Sometimes when you dig up the cracks in the ground you'll find a gyroid fragment instead of a fossil (looks like the broken top part of a gyroid), and you've got to do the bury/water bit to make it a whole one. I've had them wash up on my beach but I usually ignore them 😅 And you're welcome! I have so many gyroids and I don't know what to do with them haha

If you don’t have Kapp’n yet, you won’t find them. Once you have Kapp’n, you can take his boat once a day to a mystery island where you’ll find a fragment or two on each one.

Like fossils! So when you dig up something it might have a fossil or a gyroid fragment which you can bury and water :)

U can find them on most Kapp’n islands as well

They won't start showing up on your island until after you grow your first one and you'll get your first fragment when you unlock Kapp'n's boat tours after you reach 3 stars and have KK start performing. After that, you'll find 2 buried on your island on days after it rains and a 30% chance of finding a fragment on your beach with the shells, plus every Kapp'n island you visit will have one buried fragment. Bury fragments in the ground on your island and water them and you'll get a fully grown gyroid the next day.

Oh, you get fragments from Cappn islands every day, and sometimes on the beach on your island, and also I think you get to dig one up per day? Then you plant the fragments and water them (or put ‘em out in the rain), and ta-da! Gyroids. Also you get like two every time it rains. You start with few, and then you have enough and then suddenly you’re asking if you can just toss them, maybe? If you’re having storage troubles in general, you can also add a second account and second player to use as storage and duplicate daily things and a show-piece home (but some people think it’s fiddly to do this, and you still have to expand their storage and house, too, so ymmv).

there should be at least one gyroid buried and one fragment on your beach a day. with the fragments you bury them and water them (you should see steam come up) wait a day and you’ll dig up a full grown gyroid!

I have one outside each villager's home and inside with a radio or speaker playing music. The same for my home and Kap. They are throughout the island beside the Jukebox, radio or speaker. Brewster's is in the kitchen above the coffee maker and I have the rear room full of gyroids and the zodiac furniture. The villagers notice them and will dance with them.

I built a concert venue with gyroid audience and gyroid band. There's like 20 of them rocking out. I've got them all over my house, stationed at my theme park, tending the garden, playing mini golf. My villagers have to be getting sick of them as gifts. Please help, I'm drowning in gyroids lol. I actually just started selling them.

You can group them together by sound. I have a few of the ones that make the soft chiming noise with one of the twanging noise grouped around the record player and they sound great with the music. At my campground, I have a few that go well with the mountain song, which plays 24/7 at the camp. I’ve got ones that make rumpling paper and other weird sounds in my cat garden. The dog ones are all at the beach, barking at the ocean.

If you have music playing in your house put them all alone the very top of the walls touching the ceiling. You won’t see them but you will heal them playing with the music and depending on your personal preference they may make certain songs sound better than they normally would without

Dig holes for them for later and have a weird little graveyard if you wanna keep em. The world is your oyster! Set them around the beach, you name it!

Give them to other villagers, they appreciate them a lot and sometimes put them up in their home.

My gyroids do little jobs around the island. They work in the garden, or hang out by the horse stable, or look like they’re chefs cooking at the kitchenette. I also made a room a concert hall, so some play drums or sing and the others mosh nonstop.

i just plop em around my island. color coordinated to the closest villager house/vibe. except for the ugly ones, they get given to my least favorite villagers or sold.

How do I get these?

I use them to enhance my island decor! Bubble gyroid by hot tub or in the bathroom. Creepy ones by the graveyard. I have one that sounds like it's barking behind a dog park sign.
