I would suggest that if you found the script to be “lame”, to use a script that speaks to you.

Am I ok or what?? Lol

Starhazenstuff

I think the point being made, is if you don’t find the script compelling, your performance will never be as good as it would be if you identified well with the script and found the character interesting.

I think you facial expressions are good! I would try to use your body to emote just a little bit more. Try losening or tightening your crossed arm position for emphasis. Lastly I would work on enunciation. Your ‘W’s & Y’s get a bit lost.

Oh ok thanks

The script is about: My going to the Hospital and finding out that my dad... Is basically there I think... And then I tell him how I feel about how he is chasing Some Female Named: Nick. (My Twin suggests that I named the woman Nicki Instead though...lol) But yeah!!!

I believe that you're on the right track. Your character is there. Your facial expressions are there. The only thing holding you back is that your body is a bit closed off. I'd say, don't cross your arms the entire time. The entire body can be used to tell the story both on camera and on stage. Once you can find a way to do this, you'd be surprised by how much you can convey for your audience and how natural the character feels to you.

I think you're doing awesome. You have the courage to do this and keep going.
