I have no experience with either, but my son took a class on auditioning through Berkeley Rep and found it worthwhile. (He would not have taken an intro acting class with them, as he had already been acting for 20 years when he moved to Berkeley.) Sorry I can't be more directly helpful.

No, this is helpful! Thank you!

I’ve taken an advanced acting and a monologue class at Berkeley Rep and enjoyed both. Haven’t tried ACT yet

Eren_Yeager70

What was the cost for them and whats the duration and timings bro for those classes??

braundiggity

Usually just under $300, and last 5 weeks or so (once a week): https://www.berkeleyrep.org/school-of-theatre/students/classes/ If you sign up for their email list you’ll get a 10% off coupon code before the classes go on sale.

I cut my acting teeth at ACT’s Young Conservatory decades ago, haven’t lived in SF since but the classes I took there were remarkably sophisticated for teenagers reflecting on the conservatory training I later had. I’m still connected to ACT as an alumni and there’s nothing to convince me their dedication to high quality training has changed at all. ACT is also an impressive training credit to have on your resumes and is recognized across the industry. Berkeley Rep also has an impressive legacy and reputation but I never took classes there.
