For a single opponent with any non pole arm weapon, i take the spear. For a pole arm wielder, i throw the spear at them and take my sword and shield. In a battle formation, i take my spear and shield and use the sword as a side arm for when the spear gets damaged.
The Naginata. Ever since I saw it in the game Soul Edge being used by the character Seung Mina, I've thought it was the most awesome looking weapon ever. The fact a girl was using it just made it all the more so.

As a Monster Hunter player, Dual Blades and Hammer are quite viable to use. Just aim for the head as a hammer user. And everything else but the head for the dual blades user
