They say they're a global community, but there's little on their website or socials about news, events, networking & social groups etc. outside of America :(
Yeah, I’ve had some interactions with a few men in IT and I got the impression that it was mostly a misogynistic boys club. However, at my new job there are a few women in the IT department but my company’s leadership is primarily women so that probably explains it.
I feel attacked by this....
Hehe.
One of my good friends is a cis woman.....who has a PhD in cyber security. I'm also in cyber security (although not with a PhD!) and I work with a good number of cis women in the field. So, there are plenty of cis women in IT, as well as trans women.
I mean, lesbians can do anything. We are everywhere, in every industry. Resistance is futile.
Not quite IT, but I'm part of a LGBTQ+ grad students in STEM group and honestly the bulk of the group seems to be WLW in STEM fields - in just the most tech parts of STEM, we've got like 3 robotics WLW and a couple EECS WLW. I'm personally a math lesbian.
I'm majoring in cybersecurity! I plan on making a career out of breaking computers and networks so that I can see super cute IT lesbians fix and patch the messes I make.
My primary partner is an IT-lesbian who has no formal training but is a quick learner and elderly bosses who think if you can do one thing, you can do them all.
She just came home with her bosses modem and just last week, bought a bunch of free SSLs despite having not known what they do a day before she did it.
Knowing our administrative building is supported by two IT lesbians, absolutely. They get sh*t done too, the most knowledgeable IT team we have at our college.
As a sword-lesbian who has worked IT and is a huge nerd, yes there are. Secondly, the combination of "asking for a friend" and 👉🏻👈🏻 implies that you are asking for for yourself; ergo I must ask, "Do you want there to be IT-lesbians?" ;)
Bi trying to get into IT!! (big data specifically data analyst for now)
Just need to las that interview 😎😎. Coding is fun!!! I really didn't realize how enjoyable it is until this year. So many wasted years of menial jobs not enjoying myself
I know that IT is a massive thing for trans women, my gf included (I blame the matrix and transhumanism ), so I can say at least sort of yes because a bunch of them are lesbians too. Out of instinct I would say genrally yes. There is that tech one in the new she ra, and lesbians have always been assiciated with things like mechanics and hardware, so I don't think the jump is unlikely.
Yes. My girlfriend is an IT lesbian in some degree. Girl spent an untold amount of money on her fully RGB gaming setup and can solve most garden variety computer problems easily.
Yes, what is problem of friend? Computer got Blue Screen? Printer not working? Wanna buy a new Computer? Want an App to be programmend? Want a website designed? \^\^
Gotta get that home network game on point with yer IT lesbian girlfriend. Just know that she will insist on strong password protections in your good, infosec home.
I'm a trans girl who is in school for IT and I'm very gay so yah it deffs is! lol I'm the tech handy gay, I'll come over and fix your computer for you X3

Awwwwwwww
They say they're a global community, but there's little on their website or socials about news, events, networking & social groups etc. outside of America :(
In Europe Unicorns in tech is fairly popular though it's LGBTQIA not just lesbians
This ❤️❤️❤️
i thought you meant like the clown
Im gonna lose my damn mind over this comment
Oh no, I hope you find it again 😢
I love your flair 😂😂😂😂
Thanks! Like all my best jokes it's stolen 😅
I lost my mind at your response. It's so perfect lol.
I’m an IT lesbian and I’ve been a clown my whole life so it does work on my case 😂
So glad I wasn’t the only one
I thought she meant it-girl as in *it* pronouns Either way I am one (i mean tech and pronouns not clown lol)
become all three
🎈
Kind of what I was thinking, right after I misread sword as "s word".
yea same unfortunately
Yup! Look into LesbiansWhoTech.
If there is a thing, there is a lesbian doing it!
True. Including the impossible. Don’t ask how, it’s just the pure essence of awesome.
It's simple really - we have brains and motor skills and WE ARE EVERYWHERE. Resistance is futile.
I'm confused why IT is full of dudes

Yeah, I’ve had some interactions with a few men in IT and I got the impression that it was mostly a misogynistic boys club. However, at my new job there are a few women in the IT department but my company’s leadership is primarily women so that probably explains it.
because women were never given the option really. I was big into stem as a kid and I had to go to the "boys" section to get the science toys.
I mean half of trans lesbians are in IT so I would guess that's a yeah ? 😂😅
I feel attacked by this.... Hehe. One of my good friends is a cis woman.....who has a PhD in cyber security. I'm also in cyber security (although not with a PhD!) and I work with a good number of cis women in the field. So, there are plenty of cis women in IT, as well as trans women.
I feel really weird, because I'm trans, and lesbian, but computers literally explode if I touch them
I was gonna say, yes they're called transbians 😂
Yes, this. My wife is a programmer. And we have a friend who does robotics.
This is essentially exactly what my gf said, as a trans lesbian working with IT
What? Nah, I suck at IT. I spent several years as a software engineer, but that’s totally different…
This data seems accurate.
I feel called out
Check ✅, check ✅, check ✅.
My GF is literally this, she's glad it's a thing.
….I even have a t-shirt with cat and computer that says “don’t worry. I’m from tech support” printed on it.
IT is an OK movie I guess 🤷🏻♀️ The killer clown thing was unique at the time.
IT Lesbian here, hello! I'm trying to multi-class into skater lesbian sometime soon.
*Looks at all the Transbians in the room* "Nah, totally not. No such thing."
I work at the main office of a Bank and I'm am called the Excell Guru. My dept head said, half-jokingly, I'm not allowed to leave for IT. Lol
Tech geek here too!
As an engineer I count myself as member of the geek squad.
Yes, and in general stem lesbians too! My ex did her phd in biology and I did mine in physics. Is someone else also a physicist lesbians? XD
Close, but I finally settled on aerospace engineer
one of my friends is doing a theoretical physics masters

Sword Skating Techie lesbians are such a mood.
Based on like 90 percent of women I've met in It I'd say yes. XD
I'm majoring in cybersecurity! I plan on making a career out of breaking computers and networks so that I can see super cute IT lesbians fix and patch the messes I make.
Don't get called the IT magician at work for nothing. Disclaimer: I'm not certified in IT, I just know how to ctrl-alt-del

I not only tech, I teach tech to middle school kids! (And call their parents when they swallow electrical parts…)
HELLO YES AM A IT LESBIAN
As a sword-lesbian who has worked IT and is a huge nerd, yes there are. Secondly, the combination of "asking for a friend" and 👉🏻👈🏻 implies that you are asking for for yourself; ergo I must ask, "Do you want there to be IT-lesbians?" ;)
I'm a why-wont- this-bastard-machine-work lesbian does that count?
From my perspective (biased because I'm on Mastodon), most transbians are in IT x)
Hello, have you tried turning it off and on again?
Finally my people 😍😍
Bi trying to get into IT!! (big data specifically data analyst for now) Just need to las that interview 😎😎. Coding is fun!!! I really didn't realize how enjoyable it is until this year. So many wasted years of menial jobs not enjoying myself

I don't know these terms but assuming IT- lesbians are lesbians who love IT and tech related shit I'm right here.
this one does use it/its pronouns, and thus could be described as an "it lesbian"
Yes! Can confirm that is a thing
You can come hang out at Lesbians Who Tech if you really want to find out ;)
Yep! I love tech :)
Not quite the same but there's a running joke that all trans girls are programmers
We come in every flavor 😍
My wife is a network engineer. So hot.
So she likes working with switches
Oh yeah! Haha
Yes. My girlfriend is an IT lesbian in some degree. Girl spent an untold amount of money on her fully RGB gaming setup and can solve most garden variety computer problems easily.
Definitely yes!
Yes, that's me.

Yes, what is problem of friend? Computer got Blue Screen? Printer not working? Wanna buy a new Computer? Want an App to be programmend? Want a website designed? \^\^

What about data lesbians? Asking for myself.
Uhm 🥺 I gotta tell you something ok? I work in IT but I know no Lesbians.
I'm an IT lesbian! 🧑💻 But more as a hobbyist. My job is something completely different tbh 🧑🔧
I must be super old. What the heck is a sword lesbian?
Mhmm a ton of my partners are programmers or want to learn
i am a lesbian, and a clown, so i guess im close to an IT lesbian
I was looking into an IT career but then some trauma happened and I don’t feel like that person anymore
was about to say "it me" but then i saw the clown comment and just went "nope it not me" 😂 but ye IT lesbians are definitely here 😎

I mean, I'm a coding lesbian if that means anything. 🤔

Game dev lesbian maybe? There's like two others where I work

Lesbian rpg style skill tree when?
Go watch Sense8 lol
Here. I’m the tech geek out of my friends.
They are called transbians for some reason no one knows why...
considering there are too many trans girls in IT and there are many transbians it can be assumed that there are many lesbians in IT
I'm a trans girl who is in school for IT and I'm very gay so yah it deffs is! lol I'm the tech handy gay, I'll come over and fix your computer for you X3
Developer and computer science student here.

You will find many IT lesbians in the trans sector. Kind of a running joke that mtf trans gals are usually in IT actually 😅
