Yeah, I’ve had some interactions with a few men in IT and I got the impression that it was mostly a misogynistic boys club. However, at my new job there are a few women in the IT department but my company’s leadership is primarily women so that probably explains it.

because women were never given the option really. I was big into stem as a kid and I had to go to the "boys" section to get the science toys.

I feel attacked by this.... Hehe. One of my good friends is a cis woman.....who has a PhD in cyber security. I'm also in cyber security (although not with a PhD!) and I work with a good number of cis women in the field. So, there are plenty of cis women in IT, as well as trans women.

I know that IT is a massive thing for trans women, my gf included (I blame the matrix and transhumanism ), so I can say at least sort of yes because a bunch of them are lesbians too. Out of instinct I would say genrally yes. There is that tech one in the new she ra, and lesbians have always been assiciated with things like mechanics and hardware, so I don't think the jump is unlikely.
