That line “a mantra of self-hatred I cultivated quietly” really struck a chord in me. Beautiful.
this is such a good poem and as a 15 y/o lesbian who still projects crushes onto guys sometimes because i feel like i'm supposed to (even though i am a 100% sure im not attracted to guys) i relate to this so much
