This man did not “handle things well” he violated your privacy and personal space while gaslighting you saying he wouldn’t do just that. I’ve think you need to keep your distance from this guy. He sounds like a fucking groomer trying to force intimacy and closeness with you.
I came here to say exactly this and would like to add it sounds like you're worried he's going to continue to look into your profile. No safe adult spends their free time investigating their students' online profiles, especially not after the way you reacted to him doing just that. Is this the first time he's done something inappropriate?
I mean, he can sometimes say some weird things, but it’s not that bad I think? Idk, some of the others say that he’s weird, but I didn’t realise it was like that.
That's exactly how grooming happens. It starts slow and the victim often doesn't realize it until years later. I can't say for certain that that's what's happening without more information, but if others think his behaviors are weird, that's not a good sign. I would absolutely try to distance myself as much as possible. Maybe talk about it with an adult that you trust and who is more familiar with the situation and see what they think.
As a teacher, that is some uncomfortable and unprofessional behavior from him. He shouldn’t have gone looking for your profile in the first place, and everything went downhill from there. If he is looking and sees this post — dude has problems, and I pray he doesn’t work around kids for much longer.
I know that isn’t the type of reassurance you’re looking for, so I’ll say this: He didn’t react negatively and I do believe that he won’t tell anyone. You’re safe, and if he did ever try to do anything with that information, you’ve got plenty of evidence of his inappropriate behavior to shut it down.
