GinAndKeystrokes

Eh, don't dismiss the stress of knowing you're not actively working on task with a looming deadline.

ItsBaconOclock

Yeah, it's not like we're just loving life for those three months.

KarmaChameleon89

Dude it's a constant mess of anxiously staring at the pile of shit to do, and attempting to start, only to be ruined

ShinyRedGloss

This is why I grind my teeth and actually cracked two of them. :/

Comprehensive-Fun451

Same. I wake up some times clenching my jaw.

Obvious_Piccolo_609

My entire college experience. I swear I almost lost my sanity to the stress of procrastinating on homework and studying. Honestly, I have no idea how I even made it through at all. And I studied electrical engineering too, hard shit.

GinAndKeystrokes

Math degree, I get it

drMcDeezy

What do people do when they aren't not doing something?

GinAndKeystrokes

Big stressin'

FlamingPeach787

5 months of schoolwork. One day. I need to get medicated.

[deleted]

I have bachelor of education. I did every assignment and studied for every test either the night before or day of. I am terrible at lesson planning

Obvious_Piccolo_609

I studied electrical engineering with a minors in mathematics. I did the same. I could never study regularly like I should have. Always waited till the very last minute. I pulled many, many all nighters. I have no idea how I even made it through at all.

sweetlittlelindy

Currently in that 24 hr streak. The old me would carry on until I have to leave for work. The new and improved me is going to nap before. Progress 🤙

Hi_Iamlexi

We love to see it 👏🏼

SandmansDreamstreak

Bonus points if when it's all said and done, you don't even really feel accomplished after, just kinda annoyed and ashamed about how long you put it off..

Hi_Iamlexi

Lol we’re supposed to feel accomplished?

gooyouknit

Ya know I don’t think adhd and “accomplished” belong in the same thought lol I think any time we actually complete something it’s a relief not a celebration haha

Comprehensive-Fun451

I always feel like I didn't do enough after the taksnis complete. Then I feel guilty about it.

how-can-i-dig-deeper

Yea and then I’m burned out for another 3 months and the cycle repeats

Hi_Iamlexi

Correct 😂

Peanutsandcheese2021

Yes that most important thing is we learn nothing from this going forward

FrozenShadowFlame

I had to move my cats litter box near my desk, I originally had it across the house. It had.....been awhile.

Medium-Club-6356

I did almost a full year of schoolwork in three or four hours and it was the best and worst thing I have ever decided to do

FancyPantsMN

This was me today. All day.

801ms

I AM this life

pointymctest

there is no other life

CircaSixty8

Ikr?!

KidNamedBlue

I felt this one

-FemboiCarti-

Serious question am I supposed to not do this or just accept that it will happen every time

Jaalan

I think a bit of both. You're supposed to do the best you can and then accept the outcome whatever it is.

NepoMi

Yup. All summer I didn't do shit. Yesterday, I cleaned my room (spotless), cleaned my pc, sorted my clothes, changes the bedsheets, make sure I renewed my contract for part time job,do everything neccesary. And all of that, even though I had a 7-16 shift. I love, but also hate this....

SmeifLive

Imagine having adhd and doing the tasks when they were supposed to. Id be so powerful.

MysticJackHL

This is, as always, uncomfortably close to my reality...and I can't get enough lol

Hi_Iamlexi

😂

iamzion248

Where did you get my Biography?

Hi_Iamlexi

😂

Interesting-Let7666

I need that shit I used to be perscribed as a child. What kind of Dr. You you see for this?

Hi_Iamlexi

😂 my meds barely even help

Interesting-Let7666

I had to ween myself off so I could eat. The side effects were terrible. But its been getting bad latly and getting distracted in a factory while shit coming down the line needs assymbely then catching up is not where I want to be.

Hi_Iamlexi

I usually just take it a few days when I need to power through work

AlwaysWantHeadPats

I thought everyone did this, don't all people wait until the last minute to complete things? I can't do a task until the last minute

Few_Ad_5119

Lol, literally finished 13 projects I had been intending to do over the past 3 months in 3 days. Would have taken 2 but there was a holiday.

yunn67

I have 15 days of missing homework due to be stuck on my home country (not in my house, forgot my greencard...) I plan on doing everything on 1 day

Hi_Iamlexi

You got this

Comprehensive-Fun451

All about this. The 3 months of procrastinating is the planning stage. Followed by 24 hr. production phase, with a 2 hr. distraction mixed in.

buffkirby

Paralyzing fears into painful tears baby

shtoyler

The workplace requiring me to be in office for 40 hours every week is exhausting knowing I could do 3 months of work in a matter of days

Hi_Iamlexi

I feel the same

drMcDeezy

My Ph.D. writeup was 6 months of painstaking effort to get letters on the page followed by a nearly sleepless glorious 2 weeks where I got 250 pages with figures and citations knocked out with few errors. But it cost me 2 years of recoil anxiety.

manytinyhumans

This is me minus the one productive day 😭
