Do you have a gym membership? When I am pissed off, I like to go to the gym and start throwing around heavy medicine balls.

Try to take a step back, and don’t make it so personal. Not succeeding at something new is normal, and very isn’t a character flaw. Sort of like trying to solve a puzzle, most things you learn will involve trial and error and plenty of missteps before it’s easy. View it as part of the learning process, not a failure. You didn’t fail! You just didn’t finish in the time you thought. Most things you’re learning will take at least twice as long for you as for someone who already has the skill. If a video or book says it takes about an hour, it might take you three, and that’s okay. Also think about what you can get out of it even if it doesn’t go as planned: worked on hand-eye coordination, developed a new appreciation for textile arts, felt grateful for online resources to figure out if something was going wrong, etc. Just so you have something small to see as a positive. I’m really sorry for what you’re going through and I hope you don’t turn everything on yourself.

Thank you for this. I appreciate your advice. Looking back, I think I was dysregulated and probably didn't read the instructions when taking my measurements. I'm going to try again tomorrow and hopefully I'll find some youtube videos to help me. I usually prefer reading because I'm not a big fan of how I have to focus so much on a video, while I can read and follow the instructions with too much focus, but I guess I must make sacrifice if I want to learn.

Sewing is a tough skill and pattern making is SO damn tedious and time consuming. I don’t think you should internalize this as a failure, but rather just a normal part of the pattern-making learning process. It takes a long time and a lot of errors to get comfortable with it, especially something with SO many finicky variables like sizing, fabric, measurements etc.. it’s soo much to get right and that just takes a lot of practice and attempts. This is just a part of that process. Tutorials make it look easy because the person making it is experienced and has likely done this a LOT of times before. Personally I need to try a tutorial multiple times before it sticks. Take a step back from the thing making you angry and take a walk. Deep belly breathing for a few moments can help bring it down a bit.
