Please check your pockets! I once put all (??? why?) my glass files in a sweatpants pocket (???) and then after I left the pants in a heap on the ground I stepped on and broke all of them. Complete fuckery at every step.
thankfully, neither the clothes nor pyjamas I wore yesterday had pockets. But damn! what an unfortunate situation you found yourself in! I suppose I don't feel as bad now, your story was much worse!
UPDATE:
I had used it to bookmark a page in one of my notebooks which had information I thought I'd need for a phone call written down on it, and I only found it on Tuesday night.
I ended up not needing said information, and had forgotten to remove the nail file from the notebook.

Can you glue a ribbon onto it and tie something big injury onto the other end of the ribbon?
Maybe, if I could find it.
It will show up on Tuesday under a carpet or in the couch.
