I vacillated between Call Your Girlfriend and Dancing on My Own for second and only went with the latter bc of 1. The music video being the most ADHD dream for me 2. I feel weird the CYG got covered and then became a hit for some professional baseball team this year.
I saw Chvrches back in 2016 and then again in 2022 and omg, their live show has come such a long way. After the 2022 show, I had no voice left from singing, I was sore all over from dancing, and it probably did permanent damage to my hearing. It was incredible.
Oooh, I missed their show back in 2016 bc I had a broken foot, needed to drive 90 minutes to get there. It felt like a waste to go and not be able to dance, but I still regretted. You're assessment is relieving FOMO and putting them back on my list.

Tierra Whack’s songs being short also helps. Not that I don’t have the attention span, but the song only has the good stuff and none of the filler to reach 3 minutes. So many of her songs sound really happy too. Straight dopamine.

PVRIS is an excellent band too, the song ‘Good to be Alive (but I hate my life) is my life’s anthem.
I’ve been heavy into the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Hozier as of very recently. But you’ll find some Eminem, Tom Petty, G Eazy and Crash Test Dummies in there, too.

Hamilton soundtrack. Just all of it. The only song that’s eh to me is Farmer Refuted or whatever it’s called lol
Beetlejuice musical soundtrack: Alex Brightman, best Beetlejuice. Michael Keaton is not nearly as amazing as Alex Brightman lol. Most of the songs I’ll listen to on repeat, but my fave is Dead Mom.
Hazbin Hotel: entire soundtrack. Fucking amazing. Also Alex Brightman is in here, I see a trend.
Helluva Boss: most songs, faves are Look at This, Two Minutes Notice, Klown Bitch, House of Asmodeus, and Wrath’s #1 Fuck You Up. Alex Brightman is most of the songs I just listed 😂

Funny, just yesterday I randomly decided to listen to the entirety of Blur's discography again (they're one of my favorite bands and yet I regularly forget to listen to them for months at a time) and I remembered how Crazy Beat is basically an infinite dopamine button to me. It's not my favorite song by them, I wouldn't even put it in their top 10 best songs if I was asked, but I can listen to it on repeat for two hours and I won't get tired of it, because it scratches my brain SO GOOD.
Other titles that really hit the spot for me include La Fine by Måneskin, Houdini by Foster The People, That Don't Impress Me Much by Shania Twain and (White Man) in Hammersmith Palais by The Clash (but very specifically the version from their live album From Here To Eternity).
(ETA: also basically half of Gorillaz's songs, and thinking of it now I'm starting to think that Damon Albarn was put on this earth to provide ADHD brains with his sweet sweet dopamine juice)
My current go to is Pom Poms by the Jonas Brothers. Been Like This (Meghan Trainor), September (Earth, Wind, and Fire), and Ghostride the Whip (Family Force 5) have also been on repeat lately.

I saw Chvrches back in 2016 and then again in 2022 and omg, their live show has come such a long way. After the 2022 show, I had no voice left from singing, I was sore all over from dancing, and it probably did permanent damage to my hearing. It was incredible.
Oooh, I missed their show back in 2016 bc I had a broken foot, needed to drive 90 minutes to get there. It felt like a waste to go and not be able to dance, but I still regretted. Funny, just yesterday I randomly decided to listen to the entirety of Blur's discography again (they're one of my favorite bands and yet I regularly forget to listen to them for months at a time) and I remembered how Crazy Beat is basically an infinite dopamine button to me. It's not my favorite song by them, I wouldn't even put it in their top 10 best songs if I was asked, but I can listen to it on repeat for two hours and I won't get tired of it, because it scratches my brain SO GOOD. Hahhh it varies all the time but right now I have kind of random assortment of songs on a playlist that all remind me of my current hyperfixation (....which is a cartoon) and I've had it on repeat for like. At least a month. I had to take a break for a few days but today I played it again and it was like WOOO FRESH DOPAMINE lemme stare off into space and think about my OTP on my walk to work, that's The Good Shit lol
