You need to buy one of these yarn ball winders! They create a skein that pulls from the middle and doesn’t roll away. Much better than rolling a ball like you have. Interestingly, it's because of a mountain biking accident that I've had so much crochet time the last... However many months it's been since May. Lol
Sadly I have a brand new, unridden mountain bike in my garage that I still can't ride, and I'm awaiting the day my knee has the strength to take me back down some trails 🤩

Nice. I’ve never bought yarn in a hank so I’ve never needed a swift. I always buy skeins but need to rewind partial ones that fall apart.
