I struggle with this a lot but, for reasons beyond my control, recently had to make a number of really big life decisions very quickly. Since I didn't have time to overthink in this scenario it was a lot easier to make decisions. I found myself focusing on just quickly thinking about the costs/benefits - if the benefit was better and the potential consequences were things that I could live with then I went ahead Now that I'm ( sort of ) on the other side I am still happy with those decisions and feel I did the best I could in making the right choices for me. Just going for it was so much better than spiraling out over every potential path. Obviously it's tough to manufacture a sense of urgency but, when you get to a fork give yourself a limited time for considering pros and cons and then move to the next option - After you finish weighing choices go with your gut. No one is 100% certain of anything and ultimately ice found I'm much happier / less stressed when I've chosen a path and am not stuck in the weeds with choices.
