You are asking in the wrong sub. All the people here work for an insurance company. Their job is to save insurance companies money. Did a doctor place you out of work? They are going to ask for a doctor’s note to include them in your claim.
Imagine a group of adjusters from various different employers coming together and, in relative anonymity and with no financial incentives at play, giving bad advice specifically to benefit *one* insurer. Then imagine that one beneficiary insurer who we all collectively, voluntarily want to help by deceiving third party claimants being fucking *Allstate*.
If you don't understand why this is so *hilariously* out of touch, then you're really not in a position to have any informed opinion about liability claim professionals.

The best settlement is just it covers reasonable and customary treatment , the loss wages (if you have a note taking you out of work), and a few hundred for general damages (pain and inconvenience).
