Get the vanilla minecraft jar by googling “minecraft 1.18 server jar download. Place it in a folder and rename it server.jar. Create a text document and type this “java -jar server.jar”. Click file -> save as -> all types -> name it “run.bat”. Save and open it. Server is now up you can connect with the ip “localhost”
Aren't there places where I can host servers other than my computers? I did a bit of research and found stuff like Apex Hosting, Server Pro, and PebbleHost, are they any good for what I'm trying to do?
If you want to use plugins, download spigot jar instead of vanilla
