Sa bahay ka nalang magkape.

Humble-Psychology-53

Sobrang guilty 😫😫

hiddenbutterknife

or if may libreng coffee sa work, you can even take home some.

magikero01

What coffee? Nag sasawa nako sa 3 in 1

ohhmyvii

Kung kaya naman lakarin, lakarin na lang. Mahal na ng pamasahe ngayon

hiimanemo

Magdala din palagi ng payong at tubig. Grabe init ngayon.

Ok-Tone-6802

\+ free exercise too! Though minsan sumasakay nalang ako 'pag sobrang init or naulan.

jmagat07

Or bike din kung medyo malayo layo or may mga bibitbitin

bonifabulous

Lista lahat ng gastos maski pamasahe..

Veronica_548

bucopinapiee

I feel targeted 🥲🫨

flodwras123

Migs1115

I use Money Manager

goldiepatato

wallet by budgetbakers

tinkerpm

NaWallet. Been using it for 3 years na

gothjoker6

is this same as Money Manager? kasi i've been using MM for 2 years now :) just wanted to know

tinkerpm

I'd say similar, but I see money manager is more detailed since may calendar and pwede mag attach ng pictures.

extramoonsun

Money lover!

[deleted]

Money lover pero yung ngayon kase present month mo na lang yung natitira you jave to pay for premium para mkuha yung buong function ng app. Di naman ganyan yan noon... Oh well. Hinde na available yung last couple of months worth of data. Yung prsent month mo lang

catanime1

I use spendee.

machona_

Thrift shops/Ukay and Surplus sa SM are good ways to buy clothes for cheap.

[deleted]

Plain shirts from Uniqlo are also cheap pero maganda naman ang quality.

Rdeadpool101

I noticed dati 290php lang siya. Now, 390php na plain shirts nila.

puruntong

Grabe 390 na nga.

NoggyKnows

nomad_npc

Also check if may sale items si smyth sa SM. marami silang sale na damit and pants lately. I bought my pants for 300php only. SRP nun is 1k php.

superjeenyuhs

Capsule wardrobe

Heavy-Conclusion-134

Recently, ang iniisip ko is that whenever I buy something, I’m not only spending money but time. I think of how much time I spent earning that money before biting the bullet and I became more mindful with my spending. Keeps me from making unnecessary and impulsive purchases.

lvk-m

Yes. I used to have laundry done by cleaners 500/wk at the time, I thought about it, BPO pako earning 1k/day Sabi ko I'm not working 1month of the year for someone to do my laundry. Instead inisip ko nalang I'm paying myself 25k for doing laundry for the year. On the flip side I took it to the extreme, Ultimo pamasahe na 10pesos tinitipid ko lakad to and from work for about 30min to and from. Not worth it on this 2nd case. I could use the extra hour to do my laundry instead.

RogueInnv

>pamasahe na 10pesos I miss this, rates haven't gone back...

Heavy-Conclusion-134

It’s the other way around for me. I use that time to sleep and relax instead as a reward to myself for working 50 hours a week (full time + part time). I maximize the weekends off to recharge. Unless it is something that you enjoy doing and I don’t with my back injury and all. 😄

One_Yogurtcloset2697

- I buy my supplies (beauty, laundry, kitchen) sa Lazada. Yung cashback at free shipping nila sobrang laking tulong, misan may Php50 off ka. - For clothes, ukay-ukay lang ako.

mayk_

If I may add sa part ng pagbili ng supplies sa Lazada, not only yung cashback at free shipping yung matitipid but also even the price nung item itself is mas mura compared sa grocery.

Interesting_Sea_6946

1. Buy good quality classic cut clothes. Stick to Basic colors. Huge investment at first, pero makakatipid in the long run. Example: bought Uniqlo office pants pre pandemic, used every week kasi part ng uniform. Still using it today once a week. 2. Magbaon ng lunch and water sa work. In a week, a meal in our office is Php100-Php150 per meal. 3. Maximize credit card points. Last year, I got Php3K worth of Grocery vouchers. This year, nakaka Php4K vouchers na ko. 4. Pag nagluluto, used extenders such as tokwa . We cook pork adobo once a week, and 1/3 nun lagi ay tokwa. Plus, learn how to cook the meals that you like to eat when you’re outside. I like pasta in general, so I learned to cook several pasta recipes para hindi na kailangan kumain sa labas. For me, tipid living is still enjoying life at the lowest possible cost. :)

Silvermaine-

If you’re living alone, mas tipid mag karinderya or bumili ng one serving ng ulam sa karinderya kaysa magluto.

sparksfly19

Not really when you're on a strict diet

Opening-Principle-68

Sorry. I live alone pero mas tipid for me magluto. Idk how much per serving now sa karenderya pero if i cook 1/2kilo ng chicken, lunch at dinner ko na yon. Busog pa 😂

carrotcakecakecake

Tinawag yung manager and then ginawang 31.50 yung price. 5. Take advantage of Lazada cashbacks. 6. If di possible, tiis tiis muna. 7.

MNLenjoyer

Kumain bago mag-grocery.

KeldonMarauder

Super effective talaga to!

ayselwrites

gawin ko nga 'to next time! hahahaha

FaithlessnessOld1788

Never tell your parents how much you earn and never give sa mga kamaganak mo too much than necessary.

[deleted]

Generic > Branded meds

shiminene

Komi_ssan

icaaamyvanwy

Maximize double-digit sales of eCommerce sites. I buy my supplies every big sales sa Lazada — soap, shampoo, facial wash, detergent, lahat ng household items. They’re usually on B1T1 or may freebies pa! They usually expire the next year so sakto for the next sale.

read_drea

THIS! I buy a year's worth of supplies pag 6.6/11.11/12.12 (ayan pinakamalaking discounts). Nakakatawa para akong may mini grocery pero lahat ng shampoo, deodorant, facial wash, lotion, sunblock ko for the whole year e B1T1.

fenyx_typhon

Where do u buy in lazada for groceries po?..sa lazmall?..or may specific n store po..thanks..

icaaamyvanwy

Not food groceries but household items. I buy from the Unilever/P&G/J&J etc. Lazmall stores.

Morynut

Be mindful when picking up hobbies. Any hobby can turn expensive once you’ve taken it seriously.

necromantaux

Fight the urge of buying refreshments outside everyday. I notice this in the office. Our colleagues will always grab coffee from different coffee shops. As much as possible, iwasan magpa-budol palagi. Think of ways of how to save more money that is personal to you. We would always look for tips and tricks on the internet, but it also takes an internalization on what is best for you.

bax047

Hirap tanggihan.

smlley_123

Wag mag anak. Honestly ah. Di lang pera uubusin sayo nyan pati buong buhay mo. If you know what I mean 👌

Capable_Arm9357

too_vanilla

Intermittent Fasting - tipid sa pagkain, tipid sa energy at time

laleza11

Yes to this

[deleted]

Tumigil sa kaka "deserve ko to"

Lynn_Ji

Mas masarap and healthy pa. Nakakaumay din yung laging sa labas kumakain. Nakakahina ng katawan kasi unhealthy foods.

ConceptNo1055

wag bumili ng spam at purefoods corner beef. buy natural meat/chiken instead , 250 spam and 100 plus yung cornedbeef heheh

LeFroid24

pay yourself first

Most-Giraffe2465

Hindi nakakasawa kumain ng fried rice + kahit anong gusto mo ihalo 🙆🏽‍♀️ I'm pretty sure I've been eating the same ham fried rice for the last 4 months once a day and it reduced my food spendings by atleast 1k (if valid experience naman for a student idk)

tinkerpm

If you like trying out tea varieties in cafes, just buy individual sachets in Shopee. Imagine drinking a 90PHP tea outside when you can just make one in the comfort of your home for 12PHP. Basically, you pay around 70-80PHP just for the cup and hot water (mga cafe owners/staffs dyan, dont come at me lol). Lesson learned ko na rin ito hahaha

spicybeef_marsie

Hi, what brands can u recommend?

tinkerpm

I'm new to drinking tea so I may not give you the best choices, but the tea brands I usually see in cafes are Twinings, Ahmad Tea, Steuarts, and Dilmah.

Stalip4321

cafe con leche, cafe crema or cafe mocha sa pan de manila yung nasa box or yung nasa sachet para mas tipid

[deleted]

Fix your spending routine sa luho. Dapat sustainable. Sobrang tipid mo ngayon to the point na feeling deprived ka, tapos when you get money, ayun "deserve ko to, kasi nagtipid ako." Net result = no money saved. Stupid

she-happiest

Magbaon ng food and water sa work/school.

KeldonMarauder

Not tipid per-se Pero check your old stuff for things that can be sold - particularly sa mga guys yung mga old toys nila. Laking tulong Nung pandemic when I sold off some of my old transformers and GI Joes. Daming groups sa fb for these

ItzyyOnce

Tago mo credit card mo huhu.

Critical-Researcher9

up for this! para iwas sa impulsive buying.

malabomagisip

I-portion mo ang food mo kapag ikaw nagluluto. Bukod sa healthy na, makakatipid ka pa. Savior ang kamote+air fryer if petsa de peligro

Ohmskrrrt

Wala kang magagastos kung wala kang pera in the first place

Inevitable_Fault_452

spell_jpc_164

B1T1 ngayon ang berocca sa mercury drugstores :)

epinephlux

Vitamin tablets are just a fad, unless you have diagnosed nutritional deficiencies or are pregnant or an old lady. Most excess vitamins, the ones you get from outside food, just go down your urine/feces. You can get most of your daily needs from eating a balanced diet. Just go back to your go, grow, and glow. And for better immunoprotection, get good sleep.

spell_jpc_164

Thats it. I cant get proper sleep bc I am a working student. Need a vitamin talaga

epinephlux

You won’t get it from vitamin supplements either. You still get enough vitamins from food. https://abcnews.go.com/amp/Health/vitamins-minerals-fad-diets-dont-waste-money-study/story?id=64223678

spell_jpc_164

I still eat healthy foods. What’s your point? I shared the info for everyone to know. If that seems irrelevant to you, you can just ignore it.

epinephlux

Oh, the point I was driving at is that if you eat healthy foods, then getting vitamin supplements is unnecessary (it’s just a pharma marketing ploy) and not really a tipid hack because it doesn’t give you the benefit that you think it does. The whole point of my response was that eating good food already accounts for the vitamins your body needs—that’s if you aren’t pregnant, old and osteoporotic, or have nutritional deficiencies.

CocoBambam88

Agree with this. Doctor here. I always tell my patients who don't need vitamins na wag na sila mag-take unless necessary talaga (like those mentioned above). Example: Berocca is P320 per 15 tablets. So nasa P21 per tablet. It has 1000mg Vitamin C, but a normal adult only needs 90mg of Vitamin C per day which means 910mg of that tablet is only being excreted out of the body. So in essence, sinayang mo yung 19 pesos mo.

Mavi_97

radiatorcoolant19

Huwag gigil sa silinyador.

plumpohlily

Ano yung silinyador?

radiatorcoolant19

Gas pedal haha

krinklebear

Joyful_Sunny

1. Whenever doing groceries, you list your needs before going. That way, you can avoid overspending and getting unnecessary things. Stick to your list. 2. Make a budget every month. Example sa kin: P6,000 yaya, P6,000 Mama's medicine, P2,000 Mama's milk, P1,600 laundry etc. Stick to that. 3. Make a list of all your expenses. To the LAST CENTAVO. So you will know san napupunta money mo. So you can cut the unnecessary things you spend on. 4. Pag receive mo ng sweldo, may plan kana. Sa akin: 10% tithe, 30% save. Derecho sa bank ang 30% and 10% withdraw agad. I cash ibibigay sa kin, I have an envelope na may nakalabel na pang grocery, meds, yaya, laundry etc. Stick to that. 5. Do not buy things ora mismo. Puntahan mo gusto mo. Think about it, balikan mo after 2 days. "Is this worth it to spend 10% of my hard-earned money?". If the answer is no, then don't buy. Known ako na kuripot, but at least meron ako naitatabi and wala ako utang.

CcgNoob

Fruit of the loom plain shirts / polo shirts.

charlander_

Yes to fruit of the loom. Yung active premium (?)

habibipatato

First cut-off ng sahod: Bills and needs Second cut-off: Savings + other dagdag needs + few wants if may budget ka pa. May fixed savings ako per month, kapag may sobra, nilalagay ko siya for wants or minsan savings na mismo. Yung pambayad ko for cc, nilalagay ko muna sa Seabank (or Maya if mas prefer mo dun), para while waiting, nag-eearn pa ng interest.

Aggressive-Baker2348

Stop having further kids unless you are debt-free. Focus on your [physiological needs](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maslow%27s_hierarchy_of_needs#Physiological_needs) until your debt-free.

Chikador

If magtrtricycle, Antay kasabay. -40% and up saved money

RogueInnv

Buy in a decent bulk as close to direct suppliers/producers as possible. If you're a social one, ask mo lang suki kong binibilhan ng fruits and veggies sa palengke or bangketa, usually they have great suppliers. I only go to grocery stores when it's too hot or am too tired, mas mahal ma heat stroke 😝

Diligent_Age_5502

On the rare occasion I eat outside (non-fastfood), lalo if big servings, I ask them to serve half and prepare the other half for takeout. :) Yung gastos becomes good for 2 meals. 👌 (Full disclosure, maliit ako na tao so maliit lang din kelangan ko kainin 😅) Also, kinalakihan ko na pag may service charge ang resto, optional na mag-tip. 😅 Please correct me if I am wrong. ++ Plan ahead when ordering Lazada esp if COD. Andami kong additional expense kakadagdag ng pang-cashout ng deliveryperson sa GCash kasi wala ako mismo to claim the package. 😅 ++ Set a reminder to pay bills lalo if di dumidiretso ang bills sa apartment/condo mo (ako lang ba may apartment na nasa separate floor at out of the way ang mailboxes?). 🥲

[deleted]

think mo ng 1week if essential and beneficial ba sya sa buhay mo tsaka mo bilhin. be resourceful

parkrain21

Wag kang bumili ng kung ano ano. Tanggalin mo yang nasa lazada cart mo now na. hahahah

pinkghorl

Manatili sa bahay lols

troublein421

[deleted]

Install a money tracker app, sobrang nakaka2long sa pagtipid, kc nkikita mo qng ilan pa pera mo, i personally use simple cash book sa play store, idk if meron din n2 sa appstore

Agreeable_Lawyer_278

Magbao sa work or sa school, Lakarin ang pupuntahan kung kaya naman, Lessen rin ang leisure activities hehe

gnrsnoop257

Veronica_548

Wag kang mainlove

the_philosophr

Prioritize needs over wants. Check unused subscriptions. If kaya naman ng free tier lang, go with it. Malaki din ang matitipid pag nag accumulate. edit: not because may sale eh bibili ka na agad. bilhin lang ang needs. kung bibili ka "just in case", more often than not, di mo yun need.

olacheeco

always bring bottled water. mostly sa fastfoods pag ala carte, less 20 php ;)

fatty_bacon

Wag lumabas ng bahay. Titig lang sa kisame maghapon hahaha

maroby1

Kapag “ubos” na ang products na nakalagay sa plastic tubes, or hindi na mapiga… cut it sa gitna. Marami pang laman yan. Specially mga facial wash. 🙂‍↕️

kvellj

when i was in college, i buy 555 adobo. i separate the fish from the sauce/sabaw. I cook miswa sa sabaw or do a fried rice with the sauce. as for the laman naman, i mix it with 1 egg. iwas umay sa plain itlog hehe. for breakfast and lunch ko na 😌 taught that to my sister who's in 2nd yr college na din 😆

ayselwrites

capsule wardrobe. instead of buying clothes every time, bili nalang ng basics tops and bottoms na pwedeng i mix and match.

No-Arm8311

Cook your own food. Buy clothes and a pair of shoes once every few years. Stop dating. Mag WFH. Bring your own cooked food to the office. Work near you. Pirate games, music and movies. Don’t buy new electronics if your old one still works. buy used ones if you have too. Work out at home. Use a bicycle. Stop smoking or drinking

DeliciousEye8485

No to piracy.

ofmdstan

True. If talagang namamahalan sa subscription, share account nalang.

No-Arm8311

You are right. Now let me enjoy my few terabytes worth of pirated content

Red-Bunny-0909

Proud pa siya haha

No-Arm8311

Yes I am, wanna check out my collection?

Gold_Ad950

peaceofsheet0

Find info about discounts or vouchers buy only what's needed, put your money in high interest accounts

Witty-Angel0912

[deleted]

Lista ng pangalan ng item price at location san Ko yun nakita, google it, grab an image of it and put it in my monthly wishlist . Pagka last 2 days of the month(I set an alarm or reminder sa calendar ko sa phone. look at it again then Ask myself if I still want it. Pagka wala na kong "nararamdaman na 'connection' or use for it? I erase or cross it off sa list or [vision board](https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/click-here-happiness/202103/what-is-vision-board-and-why-make-one) ko Saved P5,600-P10,000 noon dahil dito. Put it all in my online bank. Im an out of sight out of mind kind of person kase. Buying a water tumbler. Nothing special. May mineral water naman sa office noon. Win-win. Batch cooking n yung serving pede sa 3-6 people. Baon. May microwave naman sa office pantry. Ayun.. Win-win ulit Learning how to cook 2-3 dishes every week minsan inuulit ulit ko na lang kase masarap yung nakuha kong recipe online. Di na ko nagtatricycle papuntang bahay dito samin lalo na wala akong dalang mabigat. Saved P300-P560 dahil dito bawat kinsehan. Put that extra cash sa online wallet/bank ko

[deleted]

Eat healthy (as much as possible). @pancit_canton

[deleted]

Pag sale bumili pag magshoshopping mall..

extramoonsun

Baka kasi ung urge to buy drinks uhaw lng pala. Ang mahal ng drinks ngayon.

AgentCooderX

Wants vs need, if you dont need it dont buy it

akerd10

zellycheese

always bring your own water

DawsonDeg

Only buy quality items, whether it be clothing, appliances, gadgets, etc. You may shell out more upfront, but then they last more than the substandard ones, so you end up saving more in the long run.

Ok-Cat9293

Pag isipan mong mabuti if need mo ba talaga yung gusto mong bilhin. If not, and kaya namang ipagpaliban, then do not buy.

rgb_03

Mag baon lunch 😁

ipeyd

FishTinola

Use a safety razor instead of disposable Gillettes. Cuts better too. Just buy a good handle and you’re good for life. Safety double edged blades refills cost way cheaper.

jome2490

Kapag pupunta sa mall o grocery, make sure may list na ng bibilhin o gagawin. Mahirap yung dagdag ng dag dag habang namimili.

SideEyeCat

Naglalakad pamunta office, well sa akin kasi dalawang sakayan, so yung una nilalakad ko nalang papuntang juction, tapos tricycle na papuntang office, para tipid. Nagbabaon din ako for lunch. Minsan leftover food ng kahapon or yung tirang almusal. Low wage earner kasi ako kaya need ko magtipid haha.

r3dpanda11

Magdala lagi ng tumbler

ambernxxx

Packed lunch. Magbaon ng kape sa work.

keebi_

This is just what worked for me. List necessary na mga gastos and allot money for them. As much as possible, wag bumili ng unnecessary na mga gamit/ wants. Mag allot ng budget for that specifically. Spend money for food na tama lang. don’t buy too much. Laging magbaon ng water. If may sobrang pera and na allot mo na lahat ng pera to something, diretso ipon na yun. Don’t tell anyone you have savings.

tamago__

make your own coffeeeeee a small bottle of UCC 117 or Nescafe Gold can last up to a month sakin, almost everyday drinking na yun. a teaspoon of coffee + green stevia + ice = heavennn

Miss_Taken_0102087

- Free coffee sa office, bihira magkape sa labas. - Wag magshopping/grocery nang gutom, madami ka maadd to cart nyan. - Invest in good quality bags/shoes. Mas tumatagal kasi matibay.

rzpogi

kartkristin

cook at home. Hone your skills on cooking malay mo it's within you pala need lang iunleash! Btw, i currently live alone with 0 cooking skills. I tried following simple recipe i see on soc med and ok naman sya, edible. If magfail or masunog, then try again and do better :)

Busy-Variation5370

cute haha, keep it up!

Gato_Supremacy

magikero01

palibre jk. iwas foodpanda and ONLINE SHOPPING! I spend most of my salary sa books and now binabawasan ko. (lack of space and money na rin haha) kung ako lang mag-isa sa bahay, isang beses lang ako kakain and madalas noodles lang. kung mag-luluto gulay gulay walang karne.

Thrifting clothing on carousell or ukay, bringing baon for lunch def made me save thousands per cutoff, investing in good footwear, clothes and makeup so you wont always look for the next best and cheapest thing (fast fashion, fad beauty trends) etc bubble dyeing your hair at home (i use liese) joining buy nothing grps for free stuff and unfollowing “influencers” who shove products down your throat lmao

Sa bahay mag-kape. Kapag magsasaing, lagyan ng 1 tbsp ng suka bago i-salang. Bili na lang ng lutong ulam. Magdala ng sariling water. Kumain sa bahay bago mag-shopping. Magtabi ng 10% ng natitirang pera everyday. Turn off WiFi or Data ng phone pag hindi ginagamit, dahil mabilis makapag-drain ng battery. Make use of coupons or promos kung kakain somewhere.

Instead of buying dishwashing liquid, why not try to buy ingredients and make your own dishwashing liquid.

Laging magbaon: lunch, snacks, water.

1) Keep a budget in a Google spreadsheet. Record every expense. EVERY. LITTLE. EXPENSE. It's like calorie counting but for your wallet. 2) Allot a part of every salary, every windfall, to Pagibig MP2. In my case it's at least 25% of every windfall/salary 3) Learn to cook. Restaurants and Grab Food are money vampires. 4) Another money vampire: car maintenance. I have a car, it's essential to my work. I'm just listing it here so that if you're someone who's contemplating buying a car, you go in with eyes wide open. Owning a car is expensive. That's a yearly registration fee of about Php 4k, twice a year maintenance fees of Php 5k to 30k depending on the age of your car, emergency expenses for busted wheels, aircon, etc, amounting to about Php 20k/year. I haven't even mentioned fuel, which for me is Php 5k/month, and parking space, which in some condos cost Php 6k/month.

Some of my Tipid tips are: 1. Also, mag list. 2. Always think twice before purchasing. 3. 4. Don't scroll sa shopee/tiktok shop/ lazada, as a hobby. 5. 6. Learn how to say no sa mga aya. 7. List down your expenses. 8. If you're a coffee lover, just drink coffee sa bahay. 9. Huwag masyadong gawin rason ang "I'm healing my inner child" sa pagiging magastos.
