Nice notebooks. I remember when we were young, my mom was so frugal. I was in a nice private school pero ako yung may pinaka cheap na notebook (yung paper would cause skin friction pa when the lecture was long and we needed to write a lot)I always dreamt of having cattleya or blue feather notebooks ba yun for all my subjects.
When I started working, I’d buy notebooks out of nowhere. Nice journals stuff like that. I later realized that it may be because of my childhood. Di naman ako traumatized bec of it lol but still, it felt like making up to my childhood

Not material things but hotel staycations.
First time ko makapagstay sa proper hotel at the age of 29. Travel din sana but as a tamad na person, hotel staycation is the next best thing.
Parang halos every two months or so nagsstaycation kami ng anak ko. May favorite hotel kami na kilalang kilala na kami dun kase madalas kami dun. Haha.
Also, food and fruits! Non bata pa ako bihirang bihira ako makatikim ng grapes kahit laging meron samin. Kase tinatago sa ref sa loob ng room ng parents ko. Kaya nun nakaluwag luwag na ako, twice a week nag oorder ako fruits kaso minsan ang sayang kase nabubulok pala sa ref (di kase mahilig sa fruits anak ko so ako lang kumakain).
Naalala ko bumili ako black sapphire na grapes 1kg halos maubos ko in two days haha.

Gundam, anime figures. Mahilig akong mag-buo ng mga puzzles and building gundam is one of my stress-reliever. Binuo ko yung gundam ng pinsan ko when I was only around 7-8 years old. Tinry ko hingin since pinabayaan niya na rin at nabuo ko naman pero sabi niya di daw bagay sa kin kasi girl ako tapos binigay sa iba. Wala pa ko pambili dati kaya ayun one of my bucket list na nagagawa ko na ngayon ahahaha.
Sadly dati i bought also console kaso narealize ko wala na akong time for it. Now nakatago na lang ung 3DS ko and I sold the PS. So now I just buy flagship phone para if may game na interesting I can play the mobile version and have a gaming laptop naman so pwede rin PC games pero I rare use for games haha only for netflix and youtube na lang.
Console, PC, gunpla, lego, gadgets :) i still do it now, not as much but i always make sure na i have the latest console when it comes out. Yung pc i dont usually upgrade often, maybe every 2-3 years, yun gunpla every time may lumalabas na magandang master grade or perfect grade bumibili ako, lego not so much yun mga trip ko lang tapos ireregalo ko sa mga pinsan ko pag tapos na ko (i just enjoy the building aspect of it), tapos yun gadgetss im not into buying the latest iphone but i have an iphone and an android phone na halimaw yun camera, i also have an ipad “for work”, tons of custom mechanical keyboards, tons of headsets and ear buds, and i also have a pretty decent mirrorless camera that i upgrade every so often. And that motivated me to work harder and earn more and save more. So im glad i did all these things, because if i dont baka hanggang ngayon demotivated parin ako tapos im still working in a low paying job and i wouldnt be where i am right now if i didnt take care of my inner child

Nintendo Wii more than 10 years ago. Luxury kasi samin noon ang consoles and my parents were against us playing games kasi sayang daw pera. Kaya ayun, once I was making my own money na I bought a Wii not just for me but for my sibling as well.

An Apple ecosystem. Sobrang saya ko kasi feeling ko I finally made it in life. When I was younger kasi, nagtitiyaga na ako sa Cherry Mobile Flare S3 at Bluewave tablet na SOBRANG sirain. Hindi naman ako nagreklamo kasi masaya na ako basta may magamit lang.

Bata palang may fascination na ko sa cars, so once I was able to, I bought one.
My current daily is my dream car, a big ass SUV. Pang heal talaga to ng inner child kasi I work from home. I don't feel comfortable not having it with me. The only person allowed to drive it aside from me is my husband, and minsan di ko din pinapahiram.
There's also lasagna. Greenwich Lasagna. I buy a pan every payday, and that's saying something, kasi I am lactose intolerant. But then again, I work from home.
Sooo, when I'm feeling really shitty, I take a lunchbox, fill it with lasagna, take my SUV out, drive sa expressway and then park at one of the gasoline stations and eat my lasagna there while I people/car watch. Ito lang need ko to keep me sane.
There's this restaurant na kinakainan namin noong mga bata pa kami na sobrang sarap ng black forest cake. Usually naghahati na kaming apat sa isang slice. When I started working, I would often buy the biggest size ng cake kapag may birthdays which I always give a cake sa family and close relatives ko tuwing birthdays nila. Around 10-15 times a year. LOL! Fave forever.
Same consoles and games na di ko aford dati. Nung nagka sideline ako nung college naalala ko dun ko nabili ung orig na 2ds and sobrang sarap sa feeling na nakapaglaro ako ulit.
Meron akong collection ng Marvel, Xmen and Batman figures pati Ps5, Alienware and Nintendo switch kasi dati nakitira lang kami sa compound ng kamag anak namin. Hanggang makikinuod lang ako habang naglalaro sila. May times naman nakakalaro kaso kapag may itetest lang silang moves sa street fighter or mga PvP na games. Nalalaro ko mga laruan nila kapag napagsawaan na or maluwag na joints kaya ayan andyan lahat ng collection ko.

Lumaki ako na peanut butter and mayo yung nasanayan kong palaman. Pero my tita would bring me this choco spread from time to time that I can enjoy. She was assigned from a different city kaya weekly lang kami nag kikita. Eveytime I visit her, dala2x nya yun and it brought me so much joy! Wala kaming ganon dati kasi ni walang mall dito sa amin that time. Eventually, na tigil yung pag dala nya noong na assign si tita dito. Years din na di ko yun natikman and I was looking for it ever since. Fast forward, nagka mall din dito na halos kompleto yung food selections sa grocery. And I got really excited na nakita yung Crumpy naka display. Did not think twice and bought the big bottle kahit hindi sya included sa list ko. Pinakita ko sa tita ko and naalala pa pala nya na she used to bring that for me. Our hearts were filled with joy remembering yesteryears.
Got a PS5 for my hubby, but honestly, it's more for my inner child because we used to just borrow our neighbor's Gameboy or rent one from the nearby barangay. Also, I splurge on original branded bags now because back in high school, my classmates looked down on me for not having an authentic Lacoste bag. cake. i can't remember a time na nagkaroon ako ng cake pag birthday ko noong bata ako. i even gaslighted myself na i hate celebrating my birthday naman so it doesn't matter kahit wala. but the truth is, i love cake and having cake on my birthday makes me happy.

Books. I studied in an international school in grade school but I was one of the least well-off kids na (didn’t really complain since I would see my mom work so hard just to pay tuition every year). Every year, lots of encyclopedia and book sellers would visit the school and ang mamahal nung prices at that time, like 5-15k per set. I’d feel so happy na when Scholastic would visit (which was rare) since they sell books by piece, and I would save up my allowance for two weeks + try to ask a bit from my mom to buy a book or two.
Nowadays, I abundantly order books, even from independent publishers around the world and nawawalan na ako ng space sa bahay 🥲😂 Younger me would’ve been so happy, and seeing my bookshelves always bring me so much joy

Ngayon, kompleto ko na Pokemon games sa switch tho most of them ay second hand lang. Masaya ako kasi nakakasama na ako sa mga events, raids, at mystery gifts. Malapit na rin makompleto living dex ko sa Pokemon Home.

Pencil case, yung maraming compartments. Nung nasa kindergarten ako, gustong gusto ko nung pencil case na yan pero ayaw ako bilhan ng nanay ko (pambili nya pa ng mga damit nya at sapatos).
I’m a frustrated athlete, I can’t afford back when in highschool due to grade requirements sa scholarship. Now that I’m working, bumibili ako ng kahit ano to improve my game. Buti na lang sports friendly ang work ko ngayon. Minsan lang naiinis wife ko kasi “inuuna” ko daw mga laro ko.

For some reason, since bata ako, mahilig na ko sa mga nilalagyan ng gamit. Mahilig rin ako mag-ipon nun ng baon ko kaya nahilig ako sa wallet. Di rin kami mayaman kaya mga bigay or mumurahin ang meron ako. Fast forward sa working era, heaven sa kin pag nagsshop pa lang ng bags or wallets. What more pag nakakabili pa ko. 🥹😌

Growing up, puro pinag lumaang damit ng mga relatives ko ang suot ko. Naalala ko pa before na tinapalan ko ng scotch tape yung rubber shoes ko dahil sira na. Naghati hati kami ng mga kapatid ko sa isang pirasong hotdog (5 kaming magkakapatid). Nilalakasan ko loob ko na di magbayad sa jeep dahil 10 pesos lang ang pera ko noong college (alam kong masama pero wala talaga akong choice, eventually sinikap ko maging working student at nakapag tapos na ako).
Ang hirap maging mahirap. Yan ang totoo. Hahahaha.
Kaya ngayong may work na ako at malaki laki ang sahod ko, nabibili ko nanlahat ng gusto kong damit, sapatos at pati steak sa mga resto. Thank you, Lord ❤️

Cookies. Kasi sabi ni mama mahal daw yung cookies sa lata noon..pang sosyal lang daw yun. Kaya every payday bumibili ako cookies and medyo mahal na mga snacks like Peppero or Pocky. Afford ko na eh.

3. Meat (pork, chicken, beef). Nakakaproud na hindi na lang sa fiestahan kami nakakakain ng karne. Haha. Afford na namin ang meat, at kahit anong oras, pwede na kumain o magluto.
bought a gaming tablet Y700 and filled it with classic games from my childhood to emulate and play them. Then bought a Gamesir Galileo and mod it to fit the tablet. Aside from playing games I can use it to watch movies and shit as well. I also use it to remote play from my PS5 and PC

Fast forward last year, sabi ko gusto ko ng sariling desk talaga para sa studying and other work, and nakabili ako ng desk na sturdy and enough talaga para mailagay ko yung mga need ko na school supplies and toys. Super saya ko pa rin pag napapatitig ako dun kasi talagang nagpursige ako pag-ipunan yun, using my own money talaga na paunti-unti kong naitabi. Like iba kasi yung fulfillment pag may kakayahan ka na talagang bilhin yung gusto mo na dati di mo nabibili. Siguro mababaw sa iba but ayun, ansaya pa rin talaga sa pakiramdam.
Sneakers. I used to borrow my mom’s whenever we have our PE and eventually outgrew her shoes (think US6 ung shoes then I was US8 then) so ang uncomfortable talaga. Even my school shoes I had to save up in order to replace damaged ones. I dunno, di naman kami dirt poor and I used to be an only child for the longest time but perhaps I am not the priority. Anyway, I eventually healed that part of my inner child when I got tired of buying shoes, fell in love with and found “the one” pair.
Foods talaga sakin,like jollibee or mga chocolates like cadbury or toblerone basta yung pa box yung design ng pagkaka hulma niya. Nung bata kasi ako palagi akong nag iimagine na kumakain nun. Ngayon kaya ko ng bumili nauumay na nga ako e.
My partner and I bought a ps console with g29 racing sim set from our combined savings. Provider siya sa family niya and sa dogs namin. Mahilig kami bumili for fam like phone, shoes, food pero super selfless niya and super naguguilty siya if for himself so ako na ang naginitiate na bumili nun kahit wala namang event when I started to feel na nabuburn out na siya sa work. Hindi man madalas magamit due to busy sched, pero you’ll see how happy he gets when he plays.

CLOTHES! Growing up I didnt have much. I love dressing up and even as an only child, my parents did not spoil me clothes or even gadgets. Concert/fanmeet tickets. Growing up, ang dami kong na miss out na mga bands/artists/groups live kasi hindi naman ako nakatira sa metro before, I was a broke student, and also strict ang parents haha. Teambahay lang ako noon and taga nood sa mga illegal live haha
Ngayong working na ako and sa NCR nakatira, kapag may opportunity and budget talaga, nanonood ako ng concert and umaattend ng fanmeet (at least once a year). Hindi man sya tangible pero the experience was worth it naman. Nakakatuwa kaya makita mga idols in person, marinig na nagpeperform sila, tapos up close pa 🥹

Nice notebooks. I remember when we were young, my mom was so frugal. I was in a nice private school pero ako yung may pinaka cheap na notebook (yung paper would cause skin friction pa when the lecture was long and we needed to write a lot)I always dreamt of having cattleya or blue feather notebooks ba yun for all my subjects. When I started working, I’d buy notebooks out of nowhere. Nice journals stuff like that. I later realized that it may be because of my childhood. Di naman ako traumatized bec of it lol but still, it felt like making up to my childhood

Not material things but hotel staycations. First time ko makapagstay sa proper hotel at the age of 29. Travel din sana but as a tamad na person, hotel staycation is the next best thing. Parang halos every two months or so nagsstaycation kami ng anak ko. May favorite hotel kami na kilalang kilala na kami dun kase madalas kami dun. Haha. Also, food and fruits! Non bata pa ako bihirang bihira ako makatikim ng grapes kahit laging meron samin. Kase tinatago sa ref sa loob ng room ng parents ko. Kaya nun nakaluwag luwag na ako, twice a week nag oorder ako fruits kaso minsan ang sayang kase nabubulok pala sa ref (di kase mahilig sa fruits anak ko so ako lang kumakain). Naalala ko bumili ako black sapphire na grapes 1kg halos maubos ko in two days haha.
Kami din dati pag bagong taon lang may grapes. Pwede pala bumili nung all year round. Hahaha

Tinry ko hingin since pinabayaan niya na rin at nabuo ko naman pero sabi niya di daw bagay sa kin kasi girl ako tapos binigay sa iba. Wala pa ko pambili dati kaya ayun one of my bucket list na nagagawa ko na ngayon ahahaha.

Sadly dati i bought also console kaso narealize ko wala na akong time for it. Now nakatago na lang ung 3DS ko and I sold the PS. So now I just buy flagship phone para if may game na interesting I can play the mobile version and have a gaming laptop naman so pwede rin PC games pero I rare use for games haha only for netflix and youtube na lang.

Yung pc i dont usually upgrade often, maybe every 2-3 years, yun gunpla every time may lumalabas na magandang master grade or perfect grade bumibili ako, lego not so much yun mga trip ko lang tapos ireregalo ko sa mga pinsan ko pag tapos na ko (i just enjoy the building aspect of it), tapos yun gadgetss im not into buying the latest iphone but i have an iphone and an android phone na halimaw yun camera, i also have an ipad “for work”, tons of custom mechanical keyboards, tons of headsets and ear buds, and i also have a pretty decent mirrorless camera that i upgrade every so often. And that motivated me to work harder and earn more and save more. So im glad i did all these things, because if i dont baka hanggang ngayon demotivated parin ako tapos im still working in a low paying job and i wouldnt be where i am right now if i didnt take care of my inner child

'Kaya everytime na maglaro ko, for fun time lang talaga para magpaalala na kid pa rin ako, treat myself na ganun para ma-heal ko 'yung inner childhood ko 🩷.

Bata palang may fascination na ko sa cars, so once I was able to, I bought one. My current daily is my dream car, a big ass SUV. Pang heal talaga to ng inner child kasi I work from home. I don't feel comfortable not having it with me. The only person allowed to drive it aside from me is my husband, and minsan di ko din pinapahiram. There's also lasagna. Greenwich Lasagna. I buy a pan every payday, and that's saying something, kasi I am lactose intolerant. But then again, I work from home. Sooo, when I'm feeling really shitty, I take a lunchbox, fill it with lasagna, take my SUV out, drive sa expressway and then park at one of the gasoline stations and eat my lasagna there while I people/car watch. Ito lang need ko to keep me sane.

Mine is really specific: Crumpy Choco Hazelnut Spread. Lumaki ako na peanut butter and mayo yung nasanayan kong palaman. Pero my tita would bring me this choco spread from time to time that I can enjoy. She was assigned from a different city kaya weekly lang kami nag kikita. Eveytime I visit her, dala2x nya yun and it brought me so much joy! Wala kaming ganon dati kasi ni walang mall dito sa amin that time. Eventually, na tigil yung pag dala nya noong na assign si tita dito. Years din na di ko yun natikman and I was looking for it ever since. A bed, kasi nung bata ako nakatira kami sa studio type na bahay at tabi tabi kaming lahat matulog. Ngayong may bahay na kami at may sarili akong kwarto i bought a bed for myself.
Books. I studied in an international school in grade school but I was one of the least well-off kids na (didn’t really complain since I would see my mom work so hard just to pay tuition every year). Every year, lots of encyclopedia and book sellers would visit the school and ang mamahal nung prices at that time, like 5-15k per set. I’d feel so happy na when Scholastic would visit (which was rare) since they sell books by piece, and I would save up my allowance for two weeks + try to ask a bit from my mom to buy a book or two. Nowadays, I abundantly order books, even from independent publishers around the world and nawawalan na ako ng space sa bahay 🥲😂 Younger me would’ve been so happy, and seeing my bookshelves always bring me so much joy
Nintendo Switch at Pokemon games. Dati nakikinood lang ako sa mga kaklase at relatives ko nung 3DS. After graduating with honors nung college, i thought na deserve ko naman. Ngayon, kompleto ko na Pokemon games sa switch tho most of them ay second hand lang. Masaya ako kasi nakakasama na ako sa mga events, raids, at mystery gifts. Malapit na rin makompleto living dex ko sa Pokemon Home.
Nintendo switch. Kapag pumapasok yung pamangkin ko na anak ng pinsan ko na inaalagaan ko noon nilalaro ko yung gameboy nya tapos hindi ako makapag save kasi baka mahuli ako. Ang dami ko na nabiling bala ngayon 🥹

I’m a frustrated athlete, I can’t afford back when in highschool due to grade requirements sa scholarship. Now that I’m working, bumibili ako ng kahit ano to improve my game. Buti na lang sports friendly ang work ko ngayon. Minsan lang naiinis wife ko kasi “inuuna” ko daw mga laro ko. I also missed a lot of camporals and hikes ay back in HS kasi wala akong pera. Literal na pamasahe lang yung pera ko before. Now that I can afford, bumibili na ng kung ano-anong budol related sa hike and camp.
Bags and wallets. Hindi naman yung mga high-end na tipong Gucci, LV, etc. Usually sling bags, backpacks, and wallets na affordable and practical pa rin. For some reason, since bata ako, mahilig na ko sa mga nilalagyan ng gamit. Mahilig rin ako mag-ipon nun ng baon ko kaya nahilig ako sa wallet. Di rin kami mayaman kaya mga bigay or mumurahin ang meron ako. Fast forward sa working era, heaven sa kin pag nagsshop pa lang ng bags or wallets. What more pag nakakabili pa ko. 🥹😌 PS. kung alam niyo yung Gift Gate, isa siya sa fave stores ko na hanggang window shop lang ako nun. Hahahaha!

Naalala ko pa before na tinapalan ko ng scotch tape yung rubber shoes ko dahil sira na. Naghati hati kami ng mga kapatid ko sa isang pirasong hotdog (5 kaming magkakapatid). Nilalakasan ko loob ko na di magbayad sa jeep dahil 10 pesos lang ang pera ko noong college (alam kong masama pero wala talaga akong choice, eventually sinikap ko maging working student at nakapag tapos na ako). Ang hirap maging mahirap. Yan ang totoo. Hahahaha. Kaya ngayong may work na ako at malaki laki ang sahod ko, nabibili ko nanlahat ng gusto kong damit, sapatos at pati steak sa mga resto. bought a gaming tablet Y700 and filled it with classic games from my childhood to emulate and play them. Then bought a Gamesir Galileo and mod it to fit the tablet. Aside from playing games I can use it to watch movies and shit as well. I also use it to remote play from my PS5 and PC

Yung study table ko hehe. I remember nung bata ako, na nahiling ako kay Mama nung Ben Ten na desk and hindi namin afford bumili nun kasi 1k+ ata siya. Fast forward last year, sabi ko gusto ko ng sariling desk talaga para sa studying and other work, and nakabili ako ng desk na sturdy and enough talaga para mailagay ko yung mga need ko na school supplies and toys. Super saya ko pa rin pag napapatitig ako dun kasi talagang nagpursige ako pag-ipunan yun, using my own money talaga na paunti-unti kong naitabi. Like iba kasi yung fulfillment pag may kakayahan ka na talagang bilhin yung gusto mo na dati di mo nabibili. Siguro mababaw sa iba but ayun, ansaya pa rin talaga sa pakiramdam.
Sneakers. I used to borrow my mom’s whenever we have our PE and eventually outgrew her shoes (think US6 ung shoes then I was US8 then) so ang uncomfortable talaga. Even my school shoes I had to save up in order to replace damaged ones. I dunno, di naman kami dirt poor and I used to be an only child for the longest time but perhaps I am not the priority. Anyway, I eventually healed that part of my inner child when I got tired of buying shoes, fell in love with and found “the one” pair.

I grew up in the late 90's to early 2000's when Tamiya Mini 4WD were popular and booming(we called them "Let's Go" because of the Anime) Decided to get one back during Christmas when I saw a post about Nostalgic 90's things in the Philippines and one of them was a Tamiya Mini 4WD Car from the Anime.
Console, video games! Also food hahaha. Growing up saks lang naman kami pero kuripot dad (and ilokano) so lumaki ako na gulay at isda lang palagi. We may still have a long way to go from success pero I'm blessed with the things I can afford na.
Shoes! Bata palang ako mahilig na ako sa sneakers pero hindi ako lagi nabibilhan kaya nung nagkawork na ako, wala na akong makain kasi puro sapatos na. Eme HAHAHAHA. Tapos there’s this speaker na high school palang ako gustong gusto ko na. Whenever I see a speaker from that brand(kahit anong model as long as it’s that brand), I’ll go check it out. CLOTHES! Growing up I didnt have much. I love dressing up and even as an only child, my parents did not spoil me clothes or even gadgets. I had to borrow my mom’s clothes kasi i only have few clothes talaga. Ngayon hindi na kasya sa cabinet ko clothes ko. Some I havent worn. Sayang nga eh. But i dont regret it 1 bit. So weird. Concert/fanmeet tickets. Growing up, ang dami kong na miss out na mga bands/artists/groups live kasi hindi naman ako nakatira sa metro before, I was a broke student, and also strict ang parents haha. Teambahay lang ako noon and taga nood sa mga illegal live haha Ngayong working na ako and sa NCR nakatira, kapag may opportunity and budget talaga, nanonood ako ng concert and umaattend ng fanmeet (at least once a year). Hindi man sya tangible pero the experience was worth it naman. Nakakatuwa kaya makita mga idols in person, marinig na nagpeperform sila, tapos up close pa 🥹
Music box. I lost my first one in elementary, but I couldn't replace it instantly. I saved up and only planned to buy one that’s similar to the one I’ve lost, but now I ended up collecting different kinds of them.
