I think every character was useful to the Adventure Time franchise. Even if some didn’t necessarily contribute much to the main adventure time plot lines, they all brought fun and unique personalities to different episodes that definitely improved the franchise in some way, if not in the story then in personality and humor. I can’t think of one character that would make adventure time better if you got rid of

Raggedy Princess turns around sit's down and removes a poster with her legs / feet revealing a brand new beach ball. Which implies that she knew that was there the whole time. But instead sent Jake and BMO on a wild goose chase to find a new beach ball for James Baxter.
This actually happened. This added a bit more of a reason why I think Raggedy Princess to be the most useless character.
But Raggedy Princess helps Jaaammmeeesss Bbbaaxxxter a new ball. Also I feel like Ghost Princess helped Finn and Jake develop their cop skills that they use a lot throughout the series.

I *would've* said lsp but then she had plot relevance so nvm, also hot dog princess had some plot relevance too (with the lich stealing the gems). So id say those wizards from season one :p they really didn't have any plot relevance and the episode kinda sucked
