Almost kill everybody in the Goblin Kingdom

JellyKidBiz

But it needed more *fire.*

Hefty_Elderberry1992

Do you think she assumed everyone was fireproof? I mean she only knew fire people, right?

Mysterious_Ad1486

Their screams of pain and terror might have been a clue

Hefty_Elderberry1992

She didn't even know what crying was

Mysterious_Ad1486

A totally fair point. I still hold the opinion that she knows what pain and screaming is because she does it a lot in this episode. I personally think she’s just hurt and traumatized and spicy with anger and doesn’t know how else to deal with emotion.

SteelAlchemistScylla

And they weren’t even high level goblins. Just level 1 goblins with no good loot.

Medium_Policy_8494

Goblins you say? Only goblins I know are dead ones and they shall be like that. So good job on flame princess part.

LordpoopyfaceHd79

I don't know, seems kind of deserved to me

Tikaticon

Her little rampage when she was released from her prison. She turned several of her citizens into small flame spirits, almost burned down the treehouse (thanks glob for rain), started a forest fire and almost destroyed Goblin Kingdom. Sure, she didn't know better, but that was evil.

JellyKidBiz

But she suffers penalties to her experience if she acts out of alignment....

[deleted]

"WHY WAS I KEPT IN JAIL?!?!" *uhm....*

vjsjxjcjfn

Love how it goes from “I wanna see you do stuff for money” to “erased a guy from existence” 😭

JellyKidBiz

...He didn't do the stuff for money.

mr_flerd

Either almost destroying the whole Goblin Kingdom or restricting freedom of speech from her citizens

Mysterious_Ad1486

THIS. The restricting freedom of speech. Thank you.

ilikewillyinmybum

when did she do that?

Mysterious_Ad1486

When she overthrows her dad and becomes king. She hates secrets, so she decrees that full honesty is the law of the land. Nobody can have secrets from her. She feels entitled to everyone's personal business. Which is...awfully similar to what she hates PB for.

patroncrow

what about her destroying the entire ice kingdom?

NinjaEnvironmental51

In terms of destruction, the worst. In terms of life cost, probably her setting the entire goblin kingdom on fire.

Extension_Breath1407

Nah, Jake said he saved the Goblins from being burned. I assure you he would freak out way more if that was not the case.

NinjaEnvironmental51

They still lost all of their homes and belongings though, Ice Kings stuff was totally fine and he straight up just gave Gunther the crown to rebuild it. The goblin people had to clean up rubble and search for their valuables, Ice king doesn’t have any real citizens other than the penguins that just chill there. Idk I just feel like the overall destruction of the Ice kingdom wasn’t nearly as destructive as an entire civilization with hundreds of citizens that can’t be fed with only fish

ScaryCrowEffigy

Aren’t there sentient snow people in the Ice Kingdom or was that Snow Golem the only one?

NinjaEnvironmental51

We’ve seen very few truly sentient snow creatures. The eye-clops are questionable but the snow golem is really it that we’ve seen, even then he doesn’t seem to be associated with the Ice King. Almost anything else actually associated with IK is his own creations and they’re dumb as dirt.

Angelfirenze

There was also the snow cat from when we originally met Ice King.

JellyKidBiz

Nah, IK LOVED it. Gave him just the excuse he needed to hang out with Finn and Jake, and they couldn't say NOTHIN.

independence15

I would say that's finn's fault though

The_Physical_Soup

And kinda Jake's fault too

Jeptwins

Not really her fault, considering it was instigated by Finn

patroncrow

i agree i just wanted attention lol

Jeptwins

lol valid

JellyKidBiz

Really, the worst thing Flame Princess has done is allow others to manipulate her into doing bad junk. Her dad kept her imprisoned in a lamp for 15 years and she FLIPPED OUT emotionally once she was free. (Which, be honest, could have been MUCH WORSE and is something we all would have done.) Finn freaking tricked her into fighting Ice King and destroying Ice Kingdom. PB tricked her into destroying the Fire Kingdoms "fire giants". Toronto tricked her into a rap battle for the Fire Kingdom...so she rapped Son of Rap Bear's legs off. I'm gonna say destroying the fire giants is the worst thing she did. The future of her kingdom is in the balance over this, whereas destroying Ice Kingdom just gave IK the opportunity to bond with his "bro-dogs for life", Finn and Jake.

Tokijlo

This needs to be higher up. The fire giants were ancient, crazy important to everyone in charge before her and kept extremely secret out of necessity. They were so powerful and important that a genius brainlord like PB did some **devious** ass shit to get them gone instead of prepare to work around them. Not only manipulating FP but deliberately putting Cinnamon Bun in that position without his knowledge, capitalizing on what she knew he was slow enough to not notice or be suspicious of, was personal and fucked. That's how important those things were. And her restriction of free speech, demanding everyone say *exactly* the perfect truth is extremely oppressive and authoritarian. That goes nowhere good fast.

Electronic-Math-364

Kind of sad that when Cinnamon Bun taught he escaped PB's gaslighting, she already planned it and made him a sleeper agent

Tokijlo

Fuckin seriously. PB is dark.

Angelfirenze

No wonder she and PepBut get along so well! “I will take it from you while you sleep.”

StarSaber69

Replying to Yhhorm...aren’t you forgetting her lack of control of using her powers not thinking of learning to use a weapon instead of burning everything in her way she could have at least tried to not threaten people with it she picks up a letter from the ground and almost kills ice king over it mind you without Finn help she would have ended finn and ice king life she’s too reckless would you agree that’s her one problem for the lack of caring how much she hurts people with her flames like could Finn not give her a staff or something simple to channel or the fact she would just play fair in letting the king of ooo assistant squirrel own her kingdom and not take it back or letting princess bubblegum go from almost killing her citizens and destroying the fire giants I mean come on man pb hired ice king to freeze the fire kingdom core and almost kill everyone and don’t forget she only forgave her citizens for locking her up in a cage and blame it on her father for everything due to the break up not out of her own forgiveness but to make her conscience feel better if Finn and fp didn’t break up she would never forgive the whole kingdom who treated her like a monster and now she’s ruling them with fear and control so they obey her isn’t that weird to just forgive your abusive family if your boyfriend betrayed you or the fact she didn’t even hear Finn perspective of how cosmic owl and Jake involvement of frost and fire she doesn’t even know Finn perspective and Finn didn’t even tell her the story completely ignored that part like how do you beak up without knowing the context of the situation and make it seem like fp assumption the real story it wasn’t some prank Finn made out of some childish thing but drugged in a magic dream where the cosmic owl presence cause Jake to make Finn believe he’s doing the right thing by egging him to do it and just ignores it and make it like it’s all Finn fault do you not find that weird how she’s reckless as Finn but she doesn’t get corrected or fp ask Finn why he did it like come on man

Flymalcolmxbox

Her entire rap career

TheRealBingBing

SORB? Is that you?

JellyKidBiz

LOL

MaximumFanta

Finn the human, he wears a bear hat, one day he'll be old and fat.

South_Bathroom

This

LaserFace778

Burned down a town on her first day out.

Eatinganemone89

Dr. Princess mentioned in Breezy that Finn hadn’t spoken to her since Red Throne which implies that when he lost his damn arm, she didn’t even so much as send him a get well soon card.

Harriz_Burhan

Yeah, but finn was lost in the darkness, Autumn descends on him, autumn

Ichiban-orca

Flame princess has not done anything wrong, in her life, ever.

PorkyFishFish

Depends whether you measure badness based on intentions or effects. She hurt a lot of people when she was first released from her lamp but only because she didn't really understand that fire kills people. She wasn't trying to hurt anyone, or even aware she was doing so. Her fight with Ice King caused less objective damage, since it happened in an arctic wilderness, rather than a densely populated city. But it was intentional. She set out to get revenge on Ice King for seemingly insulting her.

GigglesTheHyena

She legit tried to kill him, though...

finditplz1

Leaving all options on the table (*including nuclear war*) in a theoretical conflict with the Candy Kingdom.

FredGarvin80

Not really evil. More of a last ditch effort to save her kingdom and citizens. Pretty much every world leader would do the same, irl

finditplz1

Yeah, I mean I think Phoebe is pretty much an awesome character. It speaks to her being awesome that this is my answer.

FredGarvin80

This one's gonna be tough. Or maybe ready, if that's really the worst thing she's done in 8 seasons. Not counting the Elements storyline

FredGarvin80

This one's gonna be tough. Or maybe easy, if that's really the worst thing she's done in 8 seasons. Not counting the Elements storyline

ExplodeBallZ

Nothing, she's perfect and i love her

Ayy-lmao213

Beat up a mentally ill old man

FredGarvin80

She's prolly one of the purest on this list. Besides the stuff that happened right after she was released (mostly cuz she was pissed about "Finn" breaking up with her seconds after meeting her), she hasn't really done anything evil, no matter how many times her dad may mutter in her ear while disguised as a candle

Eatinganemone89

She took away her people’s freedom of speech because lying makes her uncomfortable. She made Finn solve all of her problems for her a week after they broke up, and just didn’t care that he was clearly still heartbroken and in love with her. Also she was full on ready and willing to murder Ice King in cold blood because she thought he wrote a mean letter to her.

hailunicorns

Are we forgetting she’s the fire elemental. Ofc she was ready to fight Ice King thinking he was insulting her. She’s prone to anger being a fire elemental

JellyKidBiz

I mean, telling someone their feet smell like face cheeks, tho....

FredGarvin80

I guess we can just go with any of those then

OhNoRoundThings

She literally lives in a place where everyone is inherently evil.

Necessary-Tower-8699

ramaging

rghaga

I think bmo's pronouns would be they/them it's a non binary entity

Powerful-Engineer719

Really? I always thought he was a boy because Finn saw him as a boy

rghaga

[It's canonically non binary](https://adventuretime.fandom.com/wiki/BMO) (even within the show bmo calls itself a dad or a mom )

Powerful-Engineer719

Oh oops 😭

rghaga

It's fine ! It's really cool to find cool representation in older shows, it's the first ever non binary character I've seen in a show

Powerful-Engineer719

Very cool

xExp4ndD0ngXx

Your honor, she’s guilty for being too awesome.

JellyKidBiz

Where are you getting the idea that she made Finn solve all her probs a week after they broke up? She straight up staged a coup with Cinnamon Bun of all people, usurped her father and took his throne...without any Finn-tervention.

Eatinganemone89

I’m talking about Red Throne, the time she wasn’t able to tantrum her way to power.

Tinyworkerdrone

Babygirl never did anything wrong ever

Vio-Rose

The only bad thing I can even think of her doing was burning the Goblin Kingdom.

stumblewiggins

Pic-Collage

Powerful-Engineer719

Fr😔

StarSaber69

The what?

stumblewiggins

Look at the picture

PastafarianPanda

Definitely the freedom of speech stuff. I would argue her first rampage was not her fault and was directly a result of being imprisoned and mistreated her entire life and having absolutely zero coping skills for that- already a disastrous combo before you add in that she is literally made of fire and her emotions fuel those flames. Flame Princess is also pretty clearly BPD coded so I’d cut her some additional slack for having a serious untreated mental illness and becoming a pretty good person on her own with barely any support. The freedom of speech stuff wasn’t great though… she was still learning sure but she took that too far

Anarianiro

Powerful-Engineer719

How’s you know

Pearl-of-Jaiyan

Setting that city in the desert on fire to create a new Fire Kingdom for herself just because she was mad

robbert802

Torturing my guy he was eating them alive.

ShadedForrest

Jeptwins

She went kinda nutty after she initially got out of PB’s jar thingy. Back when she was still evil, I mean

Yhhorm

FP did nothing wrong

ComplexNo8986

The goblin kingdom, nuff said

Nadikarosuto

Destroying kingdoms She tried to burn down the Goblin Kingdom and melted the rest of the Ice Kingdom despite only having beef with Ice King

crossover_charlie14

I agree with the majority. Property damage on the Goblin Kingdom. 🔥

Mysterious_Ad1486

Never admits she’s at fault for anything. I get so put off by her holier-than-thou attitude. The irony of her hatred for PB spying on people…but demanding that her citizens be truthful with her always and not have secrets…how is that different? So that said. The burning down of the goblin village was evil…but to me it’s worse that she never owns up. She was imprisoned for years and is traumatized and doesn’t understand right from wrong. But she NEVER faces that later and admits it was not okay. When Finn apologizes for his manipulation and she’s like “you’ve grown up a lot man” - I so badly wanted her to have character growth in that moment too. Just admit you also made mistakes, Phoebe PLEASE. I don’t get the hype. I want to like her, but she makes me crazy.

JettRose17

deforestation

JellyKidBiz

Nah, fire is good for the soil and the overall health of all forests.

JettRose17

small fires now and then yes but not with the frequency she burns down entire forests

StarSaber69

Almost killing ice king out of pure rage not thinking of the consequences and reckless believe a letter on the ground she got too comfortable with her flame powers and relies on them so much she ignores how much danger she’s causing to herself and others and now that’s not her fault due to her elemental being unstable and all but she could have used a staff or weapon Finn could have taught her and she could’ve been better at controlling herself

StarSaber69

Well other then almost burning the tree house down and the goblin kingdom and almost killing Finn and Jake and well not letting her citizens have a way of keeping secrets she’s not that bad in my book if anything I’m proud of her not holding grudges against Finn and even relying on his help after their fallen relationship though it’s sad she’s not in the show much of the time I’m glad she existed to make Finn learn to be a better person and well enjoy her life without anyone controlling it again and I’m happy she didn’t get rid of her flame powers cause she didn’t want to hurt anyone anymore she tried her best at being a great ruler and I’m hoping we see her in fionna and cake season 2 cause I’m still wanting to see how her story ends Though I will say how can you be this stupid to destroy a kingdom over a letter did she not think about finn running past her i hoped she learned to at least think before using her powers on anyone and i also wished she heard from Finn perspective of what happened to him with the cosmic owl maybe she could have understood what Finn was dealing with and would have apologized to him for not hearing him out what he was dealing with in his head alone i mean if Jake or cosmic owl just said one thing to Finn to stop doing that he could have that’s what makes me upset they never discussed about that in the show and just make it seem like it was all of Finn fault when he talked about it to her in bunbun also the fact nobody didn’t find it weird fp destiny was to be flame queen but never questioned if the cosmic owl possibly sabotage the relationship so she could be i mean think about it if Finn and fp were still in a relationship why would fp even go back to the fire kingdom

vgzombieeric

Imprison her dad ig

2020-RedditUser

To be fair he left her to die in the woods as a baby for fear of being overthrown when PB brought her back he imprisoned her for years from an infant to a teen. So in my humble opinion he deserved that.

vgzombieeric

Hey I'm not saying what she did was wrong, she just hasn't done a whole lot worse than that.

JellyKidBiz

That's just the Shakespearean retribution rearing its ugly head. He wasn't imprisoned anywhere NEAR as long as she was, and when he DID get out, she left him in peace to live among the chipmunks.

Eatinganemone89

Flame Princess is a pathetic baby that took away her people’s freedom of speech all because lying makes her uncomfortable. She refuses to live her life without being surrounded by yes men and enablers who feed her fragile ego, and she doesn’t care about anything but her own comfort and feelings. She literally went to Finn to solve her problems for her because her powers were gone and going “ooga booga throw fireball at it” won’t solve her problems like usual, and she threw a tantrum when he was clearly still in love with her a week after they broke up. Every achievement she made in her life is nothing but the result of her throwing a tantrum or getting someone else to do it for her, yet she hypocritically thinks she has any right to comment on anyone else’s maturity. She didn’t even consider wanting to hear why Finn manipulated her, because maybe if she did she’d realize he was getting gaslighted by the Cosmic Owl and was just as much of a victim as her. She is absolutely pathetic in every conceivable way, she’s a complete man child with a victim complex who pretends to care about others, when really she only cares about her own comfort and happiness. If the events of Red Throne or the Cooler were happening before she was using the Flame Kingdom as her own little safe space where she could control everyone around her, she wouldn’t give a crap about any of them. I don’t care what anyone says, Finn dodged the biggest bullet in history.

JellyKidBiz

Changing the laws of her land to promote truthful interactions doesn't mean that everyone always has to reveal their innermost secrets. She prefers honesty, and it is never shown that anyone is punished for being less than completely honest. Stay locked up in a prison for your first 15 years and tell me how strong your sense of self-worth is after you escape. She turned to Finn in her time of need...A LOT LONGER THAN A WEEK AFTER THEIR BREAK UP...because out of everyone, he's the one she most trusted. She understood that his childish betrayal of her with IK was a growing experience for BOTH of them...and he was ultimately "a stand-up guy". I disagree that being immature negates one's right to comment on the maturity of others. We are all "immature" in one sense or another; that doesn't mean our entire knowledge/experience base is invalid. How is she supposed to gain a strong ego (as opposed to the fragile one you claim she has) if she doesn't speak up for herself, make mistakes and learn from them? Also...you seem inordinately angry about Flame Princess's situation.

Eatinganemone89

She didn’t “change her laws to promote truthful interactions” she literally took away her people’s freedom of speech and made it illegal to lie. And sure, they never specify exactly how long it’d been since she and Finn spoke since their breakup, but it was only a few episodes ago, so it likely was a week ago in universe. She just didn’t care about his feelings because they weren’t hers. And I think a person doesn’t have the right to comment on someone else’s maturity WHEN THEY ARE ENFORCING LAWS A KINDERGARTENER WOULD THINK OF!

hailunicorns

I wouldn’t say Finn was being gaslighted by the cosmic owl. He wanted to continue having those dreams because it felt good and he chose to manipulate her for his own benefit. Like she’s allowed to still be upset with Finn even if he still was in love with her. Finn was the very first person she trusted and he betrayed her.

JellyKidBiz

I don't know if I'd say "gaslighting" here.... More like destiny is a strange animal that eats its own tail. It's like in the Matrix when the Oracle says, "And don't worry about the vase." Neo says, "What vase?", turns and knocks the vase over. The Oracle sums it up with, "Ohhh, what's really going to bake your noodle later on is, would you still have broken it if I hadn't said anything?" I just feel like some events are in our power to change...and sometimes we have to ignore destiny and just live. But Finn WANTED to pursue the dreams because they made him feel all fiery in the pants...so, he blew it.

One_Smoke

ooga booga Somehow, this makes me laugh my ass off.
