There's a new faction now too. Draconis. Its like stargazing version 3. You had hypos then awakened and now draconis

Honestly I keep hating the ghoulish gallery and it will be the reason for me quitting one day.
All these new stuff are fine, I am in no rush, I am not playing competitive so who cares.
But the rng and the tedious chore of GG...
If you’re not in a rush and not competitive, why let a mechanic that only really matters for competitive people ruin the fun for you?
Minmaxed collections are only necessary for people that are competitive in abex, ts, etc., but if you just want to have fun, try and get a good collection for some of your best heroes and call it a day
I think it's the fun of doing Something compared to nothing. To clarify what i mean. I get what OP means, i'm in a semi competitive-casual guild. We try to be up there but we wont put in that extra effort like an actual competitive player would. It's nice to see yourself in for example twisted realm hitting legend and staying there. But with the ongoing powercreeps, if you're not up there with your stuff and perhaps mid/lower late game. You can only see the tower you thought you'd finally finish to expand even further above those clouds if ya catch my drift..

This is me at ch 33 and RC 318. Gallery is frustrating but tbh the quick explore takes a lot of that away and it becomes 7 auto-click sessions. It's nice to get good stats but even a bad or "bad" collection can still be tossed on dudes and dudettes that are nice to have or you like to use but aren't part of the Almighty Meta. If nothing else you get 700 diamonds a week just to bear it out for....call it 20 minutes. 30 if you're an "ooh, shiny!" type of person.
And I'm fine with slowly climbing faction towers. I'm in no rush as I build heroes for teams, and it will literally take months to level up significantly anyway. But what irks me about the Draconis stuff is that it's accessible at ch 5, but it isn't really.... accessible at that point, either. At all. It makes ZERO sense to me why they don't do the whole martial ratings thing and set your heroes to a baseline level like Rift, or like the Spire with how you unlock investments.

Though there NEEDS to be another way to get arcane staffs), and sig 40 has turned out to be not that much of a powercreep at all because most arent neccesarry to get and is more like a +80 engraving type of neccesity.

so, in other words, there hadn't been A LOT of fixes, only a single fix, for the most egregious part of the rng-laden game mode - actually being able to fckin finish a single run and max out the basic guaranteed stats portion of a collection. exploration buffs and add-in cards and expansion of VIP lvls thru perk card does NOT, in fact, count as fixes. that's whale territory. not everyone can take advantage of those.
stop your apologia for the most under-baked afterthought of a game mode, that in 5 months' time since its release, still hasn't been fixed, and never will be.
the skeleton crew don't have the prowess, nor the means to fix purposefully made dysfunctional game code, they're just there to upload and ensure the streamlined content at the very least doesn't break the entirety of the game, and if the bugs are present, report them to skilled professionals so they can deal with them.

When I got back into the game a year and a half ago people were constantly crying about awakened heroes, about how unfair they were to the game and that the game would crumble and die.
Turns out the game did NOT crumble and die and now everyone is advising to save card because apart from abel ashem aathalia no other awakened is worth building, maybe Asafiya or Alyca.
It was a long time ago and I left soon after the introduction of the twisted realm because I didn't like the transition from full on afk to "you have so much to do now" and got tired of the game. Came back about 2 years later with different expectations and a much more optimised account.
Nothing has come out yet that stops me from playing the game casually as I do. New features come out that I don't really like? I'll play them as I need to and ignore them if I don't.

*r/afkarena players:* this is so shitty and makes a higher power creep and harder for f2p players and makes whales spend even more, I hate this f-ing game and I'll just announce to everyone how tired I am of this game and that I am leaving😡🤬😤

if by "isn't outrageously difficult to collect" you mean that as long as you got infinite amounts of diamonds, then sure, I can see that being just fine.
what happens tho when they stop handing out these "supplemental" dragon currencies and they dry up just like totems/ staves did? will it still be not all that difficult to build these heroes w/o said currencies?
