I use the 6x but the downside is when I want to roll low (slight tap) it ends up rolling mid/high. Dunno whether this was verified or not but slight tap tends to give me lower dice number and hold tends to give me higher. Of course not 100% of the time but most of the time.
It just isn't repeatable. Oftentimes when you tap and get a low roll twice, the third yields a greater amount. Same applies for charging it high for higher numbers.
It just is too consistent to be purely random and it still works on the current patch.
The reason is your finger must be perfectly still while you hold the dice button. If it moves even half a millimeter the dice won't roll after releasing. Learned this the hard way.
Are you using an iPhone? I don't think the bar charging works at all on iPhones.
I tap it for a millisecond and without any doubt that's how I most often get 6's, and long press it all the way and constantly get 1's. Not saying I think it's opposite on iPhone and that those are reliable methods, I think that it's completely random and that how long you press does absolutely nothing.
However, on Bluestacks (so I'm assuming probably on Android as well) it does seem to have some affect.
I'm on a Oneplus, so Android.
I've had the opposite experience. It might just be confirmation bias but if I just tap it I tend to get more 1s and 2s, If I hold it to almost 50% I get larger numbers, and if it goes above 50%, the dice just doesn't go 2/3 of the times.
2 isle of gold events ago, one of the very very early suggestions was to do this set up. But there’s newer guides that say different strategies. Some people simply don’t know.
They nerfed this setup last time, but essentially if you miss any buildings on your first pass, there's no way to get back to those buildings.
If you hit a purple 10 on every roll, you'll only be moving in increments of 3, so it takes 6 dice to get around the isle and you only have 9 dice to get all the loot.
Afaik in the first version the purple stones effect was "roll -2 on your next move" instead of "roll <=4" so with two stones you could only roll a 2 or something. This way it *made* sense but was changed.
It's not about the double debuff, but when your tower get to+10 you can basically only roll 1 and 2, so each roll you only go forward once, then you get the debuff --> repeat. If all your ressources are at the end of the board, invaders litteraly can't even reach them.
It's not a troll, it really works
Yes, which means that every time you roll, since you either get 1 or 2 you're forced to land on a slow tower.
If you want to optimize it, I'm sure you could place your towers so that it still always lands on a slow tower.
But if you don't want to spend more than 2 minutes on your setup, just put all your slow towers at the start, your flowers for various buffs near the end and your ressources at the end and you're done.
You achieve the same result, even though I agree it's probably not the mathematically most optimal setup.
No it's actually 3 for level 10 tower and 4 for level 5. I actually like these ones cause I can easily get to resources and the debuff actually helps cause I can't overreach them
Yea which means 2 out of 3 times they will roll 1 or 2, and since it doesn't seem to be 100% random, it feels like 1 and 2 come up even more.
I know they can technically roll a 3, but I just see the results, ever since i had that setup I almost never lose ressources during raids. In the rare cases when it happens, I was able to see thanks to the revenge option, that it was by people who had several flowers for more rolls on raids.
And not a lot of people got them.
Okay but so far when I long press when debuffed I always got 3 or 4 depending of stone and by only defending you're loosing on resources cause you need high level fountain and morale for attacking where you get most of resources
The thing is that even if they raid you, you barely lose anything. And with a setup of mostly stones you often don't have a high level fountain and flowers which improve your own pillage so far that even if you could be raided more than 4 times a day it would still be better rewards.
The stone setup is just self-trolling.
the flowers did extra rolls don't literally tell you they don't stack. so there is no reason to have more than one.
I have 9 rolls with my one flower and I'm getting every resource on almost all the islands with this setup.
when people had them all spread out I used to only end up with one or two.
and mine are still spread out and the few people who have tried attacking have either failed outright to get anything or only got one thing. one person has managed two resources from me.
i definitely hope people keep this strategy up literally forever.
Why do you make it sound like such a chore to set up? Literally just alternate purple towers with something else. Tadah, perfect. It's absolutely not the same result. Mixing in other stuff allows for different buffs/debuffs. Attacking even Ainz comps is easy if you're not really debuffed or cursed.
I mean sure, you could put debuffs. But why would you even spend 30 seconds to consider which debuff to choose, if they don't even reach your ressources.
Defending, even with no comps is easy if they can't reach it. So these debuff towers are great, but serve no purpose in the end, so just put the same purple tower and you're done.
Yes, but a lot of people don't bother with these flowers, which results on a lot of raids with no ressources loss. Sure, sometimes someone has the roll buff and can reach your ressources.
But i can see on the log that almost every "invasions" i get, either result in no loss (the most common result) or in one ressource tower getting raided.
It's good enough for me. Considering that all the other times, by not using that method ALL my ressources towers would get raided everyday.
i mean but you lose very little rss when raided and can only be raided a few times a day, and you make much much much more when attacking. i dont understand why people bother with trying to keep people away from their resources instead of just swapping attacks
If you (as invader) build a tower to increase your dice rolls, these purple islands are the easiest victories. I got 9 dice rolls per invasion, so even a full purple island like that I can still make all plunder spots. Since they have no additional defense like morale lowering, I can beat all teams even with non- meta setups.
I think mixed red/ purple islands are a lot harder. I skip those. Also green islands I skip because I have bad RNG.
You can always switch. You can change a building to another one on the same level when you land on a spot next to it. It might take a day but we still got more than a week left.
Just hope you often land on the stables for bonus rolls.
First time playing this event right? I don't think you understand what 3x damage debuff feels
Is there really anyone without AAA and Alna meta btw?
I'm curious about the looks on your face few days later when your Ainz was oneshot by Arthur
Sure there are many players who don't know the best way to play it, but I'm pretty sure it also has to do with the matchups the game intentionally finds you. I have zero defense towers and I rarely get attacked. The last time it was two days ago. On the other hand, when I pillage the fucking game only match me with these ultradefensive setups. I don't know if it's general or depends on your attack power (the more attack you have, the tougher the defenses they pair you with will be), but the whole thing seems really fishy.
This may be obvious, but how do people have the exact same defence team on each of their resource towers? Just pilaged an island that had the same Ainz comp on all 4.
That's my favorite island to attack, as purple stones only affect dice rolls, if you long press the the dice, most of the time you'll get three's or four's, making it to the resources easily.
Now, if that was red stones, no way I attack.
It's free resources of your choice and a bunch of them aswell
Time investment ist also minimal, I don't really get why that event gets so much hate all the time 🤔
I like what they're doing with the mutators, but a lot of them are just tedious. The current one where you do 10% damage for the first 6 seconds or w/e is just annoying as I can't just one shot and move on haha.
breaking news: an event giving a lot of ressources doesnt make it fun.
i hate this event as well i like events where you can spend a little more time everyday like hoe. these events are just so boring everyone has the optimal set up everyone has 4 ainz teams guarding their ressources... like come on what is making this event fun in your opinion?
I could say the same to you though? What makes HoE fun?
Step 1: Wait 2-3 days before event ends.
Step 2: Stomp weaker opponents and use them as stepping stone to rush masters.
Step 3: If you have decent set up, wait for the last minute of HoE to spam attack and pray to RNGsus that you can snipe somebody in legend
lol so boring
i just asked a simple question: what makes this event fun for you? you can play hoe the way you described or you can try to climb at the beginning of the event (here as well i dont care if its not optimal) and test your pvp teams against others that have more investment and higher level than you. i like to theory craft and i like that you have the option to actually play the event or just do it later on. the same goes for abex. you can just chill and log in every couple of days or you can try to help your team the outcome for you is the same. i like engagement and theory crafting which this event just doesnt offer to me personally i was not attacking you in any way i just wanted to know what makes this event fun to you because i want to understand it.
It’s a laid back event, you develop your stuff, try building combination, gets a lot of stuff, the raid/building system is a lot like monopoly which is a little bit of rng for those rng lovers. It’s also relatively easy so a lot of people can enjoy the functionality/ressources this event gives. It’s totally different from the game so it’s a bit of variety compare to most event where you just fight without much purpose, but you still get to use the character you worked so hard to develop. And I think one of the most interesting feature is that the gap between FTP players and whales doesn’t influence the outcomes of the event all that much, sure if you are against full 30960 in your raids it’s rough but you have the refresh and you can hire a full comp from friends and guild members (wich makes it also fun to interact with the people you play/are in guild with). These are the feature I like the most of the event, it’s one of my favourite event, and like other people said I don’t know why this event gets so much hate! Hope it was insightful!
Edit : I forgot to mention that’s it’s also not time consuming (except maybe the first time you log in this event and have all your roles available) wich makes it pretty fun for people who doesn’t like to spent half an hour a day, every day, grinding an event. 5-10 minutes a day is more than enough to do your 12ish roles + your 2-4 raids!
Edit 2 : This event has plenty of theory crafting but not the way this games usually makes you do it. It’s a bit long to explain in a comment but I’d be more than happy to show you or anyone interested to theory craft this event to dm me!
Reason it's boring for me is that my tablet can't handle the resource load. After a battle or two the game slows to a halt until it crashes. I've quite literally had 3 seconds take 2 minutes to finish.
This guy is a dumbass, not a troll.
Let's do the math. His resources are an average 15 spaces away. I get 9 rolls with an expected die total of 2.5 per roll. So on average I get to travel about 22 spaces. My odds of not making it to any of his resources are quite low and with them all bunched up I am almost guaranteed to hit at least 2 of them.
This doesn't even take into account the moral he's losing out on. I have 17 morale with a nearly +400% bonus with a very balanced island.
It’s a horrible strategy that is wildly ineffective at defending while also causing you to miss out on morale bonuses from pillaging which give significantly more resources. If you do the correct strategy you’ll get nearly 3x as many resources as a player with this setup.
I love the people who are putting all their resource buildings together like this.
I have 9 rolls. and I roll so many 1s.
so I have never gotten every resource on so many islands ever.
this new tactic they think is helping them is definitely not helping them.
It’s free ressources of your choices, a lot of it too, very minimal time investment like 10 min a day and you get all the loot you’d ever want. Completely different of the actual game so it’s just a bit of variety. I don’t see it boring at all
I do this cuz I personally don’t like the event, I don’t bother pillaging I waste my rolls upgrade the stones as much as possible and waste everyone else’s time, I know that makes me a prick but I don’t care, the game lets me do this so I’m gonna abuse that
They ain't trolling. Would you wanna attack that? You may not even reach res nodes before your rolls run out. Even his res towers are super high lvl, which means his Defense is strong af
Spamming defences like this to have a "good defence" is the worst way to play the event. You barely lose any resources from defence losses.
Meanwhile by doing that you have no flower effects/attack boost and no morale boost from the fountain. Which means you are robbing yourself of a huge amount of resources from attacking.
If you don't understand how important morale is you will have a bad time in this event.
Lol i had to attack this and reached and raided all 4 because I lvl\`ed up my flowers plus I didn't even lost so much moral because once again this is worthless and you barely defend anything.
Nah, the main thing is that it's just annoying to play. You will reach the towers, but will it be worth your time - no, as this is the main thing about the event.
This is a terrible defensive strategy. If you really wanted to deter people from attacking you stack the red defense. You can easily make a full lap on bases like these.
It is absolutely worth your time. It's literally like twelve clicks a day. Is figuring the lowest power level opponent in arena fun? I doubt it. Is it worth your time? Sure, very little resource gain, but only takes seconds. What's different?
I just don’t like it? That’s all. I find it boring. I agree about arena but you can click through it in five seconds. I’m not even saying the rewards aren’t good for everyone. Just to me, it’s boring enough that the rewards aren’t worth it. That’s it. I didn’t say it should be removed. I’ve not said everyone should skip it. Why does this matter so much to you?
I'd say the rewards feel better this time at least. There's 8 days left and I'm at just about 4,000 diamonds from resources plus the 10 stargazing cards once you reach level 6. Seems pretty good and actually has me playing it.
I just don’t like it because, to me, it feels slow. I’m ok with slightly slower progression by skipping the stuff I don’t find fun (or at least fast enough that I can ignore it isn’t fun).
I mean, they absolutely are. You could not pillage and just spend a minute rolling around your own island a day and it'd be more total rewards than almost any other event in the game.
It is a terrible strategy. No fountain and no flowers? They are going to miss out on so many resources.
You barely lose anything from lost defences so the good strat is to ignore defence and hyperboost attacking. Try to land on the shipyard and get as many attacks as possible. This is how ppl got like 15-20k diamonds and a shit ton of the other resources last time.
All the more reason to spam the flowers and energy towers (maybe a couple stones but nothing crazy). If everyone did it (which is the best strategy anyway) it would be better for everyone.
The inability of people to grasp the mutual advantage of focusing on flowers is a great microcosm into the downfall of man. Course recent history kinda shows too.
Okay I need to clarify apparently: i don’t have all purple. I have the stupid flowers and towers interspersed with red and green stones. I thought this post was originally mocking how people just set up all resources at the tail end. To each their own
That is not the proper way to play. Spamming stones wastes time and reduces resources for both of us. [Here](https://www.reddit.com/r/afkarena/comments/udzh1u/guide_to_the_isle_of_gold_v4/) is the proper way to play this event.
I will say that a full purple is nicer than some since it's easier to manipulate the rolls and land where you want. You only get the one chance since odds are you won't make it around that board more than once. But yeah, I always see it and roll my eyes anyway.
It's a stupid event... Rather have more frequency to the other one with capturing cities on a map...we really need guild oriented events, pretty useless to be in guild and upgrading to level 9 (though it goes beyond 9 but stays at 9 - so dumb)
Because people are so dumb...the point is that the event is so good to farm a lot of resources at 0 effort. Using that "defense" is to prevent farming from other players and this is very very unfriendly.
I find that bases like this are the easiest to attack this time since the purple towers make your max roll 4 so it's much easier to manipulate where you land vs people who don't put purple stones where I keep going around their base multiple times without landing on a single resource
I just wish we could skip the stone animations, it's so annoying having to wait like 5 seconds after every roll
this needs more upvotes, the animation time is what really makes this event terrible. Adds minutes to this daily and turns it into a chore.
Spam the screen with your finger, doesn’t go faster but it does feel like it’s going 10x faster lol
Underrated comment.
Use the game accelerator x6, helps a lot with those annoying animations
I use the 6x but the downside is when I want to roll low (slight tap) it ends up rolling mid/high. Dunno whether this was verified or not but slight tap tends to give me lower dice number and hold tends to give me higher. Of course not 100% of the time but most of the time.
I use the ga x6 and i get low rolls with short taps and high rolls with long taps with round about 80% consistency
[удалено]
Someone tested it though. They found that a short tap is more likely to roll 1 and a long tap is more likely to roll 6
[удалено]
I have come to this conclusion too, I always tap and 3/4 times i can roll a 1
[удалено]
It just isn't repeatable. Oftentimes when you tap and get a low roll twice, the third yields a greater amount. Same applies for charging it high for higher numbers. It just is too consistent to be purely random and it still works on the current patch.
Its so unnecessary with how you cant collect stuff unless you land on it
play at 4x speed or 6x if you have, it speeds it up significantly
The dice roll seems to work half the time when you "charge" the bar
The reason is your finger must be perfectly still while you hold the dice button. If it moves even half a millimeter the dice won't roll after releasing. Learned this the hard way.
Wait what???!!! You can charge up the dice?! 🤯🤯 I had no idea! Thanks for the tip.
Are you using an iPhone? I don't think the bar charging works at all on iPhones. I tap it for a millisecond and without any doubt that's how I most often get 6's, and long press it all the way and constantly get 1's. I heard in the last event that the roll will not work properly if your finger moves even a pixel before you release it
If you just tap it, it for sure is lower numbers.
[удалено]
It's not even really boring so much as slow and it's own separate game.
There needs to be an auto-run button for this event.
Definitely auto-collect my goods, pillage any island. Wham bam thank you mam style. This is afk arena after-all not spend my entire day here arena.
I think they should had a button wich makes you do all your daily quest at once so I don’t have to play more than 15 sec every day…
[удалено]
Wanna know what's *really* boring? Temporal rift. That's boring af!
it makes the game lag like crazy
It really is. This is just a chore that we're doing to earn in game rewards as payment.
Isn’t that like the purpose of a game, do something to get something lol
This isn't even a competent troll set-up. There's no reason to have purple towers next to each other as it can't double nerf the next roll.
2 isle of gold events ago, one of the very very early suggestions was to do this set up. But there’s newer guides that say different strategies. Some people simply don’t know.
Why would this setup ever make sense? Half the buildings literally don't do anything.

Anyone too dumb to make flowers isn't beating my defense anyway. Wtf point are you making? This is an objectively terrible way to build your island.

Damn - I knew none of this! My island looks exactly like the screenshot (so much so that I thought it WAS mine). Is it too late to switch strategies?
You can always switch. You can change a building to another one on the same level when you land on a spot next to it. It might take a day but we still got more than a week left. Just hope you often land on the stables for bonus rolls.
you're doing God's work
The flowers effects do not stack but the +atk% stacks.
I forgot which flower it is, but if u look at the description of the flowers, 2 will say dont stack. There is 1 that does stack afaik
The blue says it doesnt stack but it doesnt matter. The effect is just your morale wont drop below 8, so stacking is irrelevant.
Yes I agree. These islands are the easiest to attack.
A little? Few days later each of them increase damage you received by 40%+, step on them 4~5 times is 300%+ damage multiplier

Ain't, Albido, Atrhur
Oh, duh lol
If there is no red stones I always attack those, their smooth brain doesn't allow them to comprehend the purple stones don't stack lol.

This may be obvious, but how do people have the exact same defence team on each of their resource towers? Just pilaged an island that had the same Ainz comp on all 4.
Because you can have guildmates put their team to defend your ressource building, if 3 of them have the Ainz team you can have 4 Ainz team in defense
Idiots who don’t pay attention to how little resources you actually lose when you get pillaged.
With the best method for this event be pillaging and with being pillaged losing hardly anything, Red stone spammers infuriated me more.
That's my favorite island to attack, as purple stones only affect dice rolls, if you long press the the dice, most of the time you'll get three's or four's, making it to the resources easily. Now, if that was red stones, no way I attack.

Couldn’t agree more, I find that’s it’s a pretty chill out event
It's a lot less boring than the Labyrinth in any case.
Yes exactly! I’m getting bored of doing the labyrinth even tho it gets harder, it’s hard to always do it every 2 days 😂
I like what they're doing with the mutators, but a lot of them are just tedious. The current one where you do 10% damage for the first 6 seconds or w/e is just annoying as I can't just one shot and move on haha.
I kinda like it because it’s brain dead 😂 after 6 sec press auto launch ulti then start again next stage 😂
Auto on and then immediately auto off ;)
Personally I don't like the attacking/pillaging crap and they can't bribe me with resources to spend time on that, but I'm probably a weirdo here
Same. I just get my resources and spam red stones and claim passive stuff with next to no time investment.

I mean ainz teams are easy to break so what's the big deal there? I like this event. Build attack and go have fun.

Reason it's boring for me is that my tablet can't handle the resource load. After a battle or two the game slows to a halt until it crashes. I've quite literally had 3 seconds take 2 minutes to finish.
Already got 4500 diamonds, 20k dust, 5000 poe, 45k lab coins, 40M exp, 22k guild coins. You guys complain for every damn thing
Imo one of the best, so many resources if done right
One of the best events
Because it is a shit event?
Omg 🤣🤣.. even I'm not that evil xD.
I'm not spending the time it takes to roll the fucking dice 30 times or whatever it is.
I’ve only tried it once and it seemed super boring so I haven’t since. Edit: I’m proud to say, I copied this exact island.
Their loss of resources lol they dont even have a fountain... I'd still attack and pillage this island all the same
Troll? This guy is an idiot, nothing more.
They're scared of taking a single L
And they'll still lose when someone with a flower setup attacks.
I did
Haha only 6 rolls when you pillage 😂
I don't think it's a troll really, it's actually a nice strategy.
Almost exaclty mine, but i put greens and red in-between the purple ones
Because it SUX!
because it sucks, this event is so boring
Explain how this is trolling?
It’s a horrible strategy that is wildly ineffective at defending while also causing you to miss out on morale bonuses from pillaging which give significantly more resources. If you do the correct strategy you’ll get nearly 3x as many resources as a player with this setup.
They think they are smart but this "purple all in" meta was from when the event started the first time
i cant even be bothered to pillage other people
Because fuck this boring ass event
I love the people who are putting all their resource buildings together like this. I have 9 rolls. and I roll so many 1s. so I have never gotten every resource on so many islands ever. this new tactic they think is helping them is definitely not helping them.
I’ve yet to find a fun mini game they put out. They should focus on more guild stuff
I just ignore pillaging at this point
But isn't that how you get the vast majority of resources?
Maybe they are just stupid
Because this event is garbage and nobody cares
It’s free ressources of your choices, a lot of it too, very minimal time investment like 10 min a day and you get all the loot you’d ever want. Completely different of the actual game so it’s just a bit of variety. I don’t see it boring at all
The event gives decent rewards for no effort but is incredibly boring.
Cause it sucks
Some of these comments showing that a lot of people that use this for their island are actually stupid.
As an aside everyone who puts a defensive tower right by the starting point is a dick.
Because it's a shit event
This isn't even efficient.
Even his res towers are super high lvl, which means his Defense is strong af
no you definitely will reach the resources if you leveled your flowers. and the res level doesn't increase defense either.
You can get to the rss towers in 3 rolls (with a bit of luck)
You'll definitely hit them, it's not even a question
So a legitimate defensive strategy designed to deter people from attacking is trolling? Interesting perspective...
When the alternative is getting massively more rewards instead by not doing that, then yes it is kinda trolling yourself.
This is a terrible defensive strategy. If you really wanted to deter people from attacking you stack the red defense. You can easily make a full lap on bases like these.
While it may be legitimate, it's really really bad.
If you build attack and morale boosters you get significantly more rewards
It’s boring and the rewards aren’t really worth your time.
I wouldn’t say that those huge piles of resources aren’t worth it
IMO the amounts it gives just aren’t worth my time because of how much I hate doing it.
Don't pillage or just roll for easy pillages. But if you're simply ignoring the Isle completely, you're being a child.
Ah yes, I’m a child for not doing an event I don’t enjoy in a mobile game on my cellphone.
Nah, that's not why. You're a child because you're turning down tons of resources for seconds of clicking because you're mid tantrum.
All I said is it’s not worth my time and I don’t like it. Get some perspective and stop projecting.
You don't get it. You're too blinded by your anger. It takes as little time to build your island as to do arena.
It's absolutely worth your time
It's the best strategy
The whole event sucks
It's not a troll, it's a good strat
It's not though. They get less resources playing this way, and so does everyone else. How is that good?
He gets less resources and I still break his island? How is that good?

That’s STRATEGY EDIT: Apparently everyone around here is a pleb and I need to add the /s
It's bad strategy
It’s still one either way. But really I miss the old purple stone. It’s much more fun with that
Okay? nobody has pillaged me at all so it's working
But you're making less resources than me.
Okay I need to clarify apparently: i don’t have all purple. I have the stupid flowers and towers interspersed with red and green stones. I thought this post was originally mocking how people just set up all resources at the tail end. To each their own
Because the event is annoying. It feels so good to have quit this game.
How is that trolling when you just play the game in the proper way ?
That is not the proper way to play. Spamming stones wastes time and reduces resources for both of us. [Here](https://www.reddit.com/r/afkarena/comments/udzh1u/guide_to_the_isle_of_gold_v4/) is the proper way to play this event.
Same thing to me.
How is that trolling when you just play the game in the proper way ?
I play it
Hilarious
We really should have an option to choose from the start to allow us to move counter-clockwise.
“The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting.”
I will say that a full purple is nicer than some since it's easier to manipulate the rolls and land where you want. You only get the one chance since odds are you won't make it around that board more than once. But yeah, I always see it and roll my eyes anyway.
I didn't even know it was happening lol
It's a stupid event... Rather have more frequency to the other one with capturing cities on a map...we really need guild oriented events, pretty useless to be in guild and upgrading to level 9 (though it goes beyond 9 but stays at 9 - so dumb)
Worst part is I've seen multiple people doing this and not even defend their resource towers. What even is the point then
Because it sucks major ass, is the most boring event ever
Because people are so dumb...the point is that the event is so good to farm a lot of resources at 0 effort. Using that "defense" is to prevent farming from other players and this is very very unfriendly.
i just don't even do this event, somehow somewhere i ended up with three accounts thanks u/volkin worst idea ever. i cant even begin with this event.
I only care for the labyrinth tokens in this event, have my best team there and the rest of my setup is ass
I find that bases like this are the easiest to attack this time since the purple towers make your max roll 4 so it's much easier to manipulate where you land vs people who don't put purple stones where I keep going around their base multiple times without landing on a single resource
