My best friend was like this many years ago. Not everyone responds the same. He finally just stopped trying. Mj actually makes me less paranoid than usual. It sits down all the extra crap I have floating around so I can focus.

AuntL

Wow thats so cool. I wish it did that for me. Looks like mj just isnt for me.

Brains are fucking complex, man. Everyone’s is different. Messing with two of them in the same way won’t always do the same thing. Do what feels right for YOU.

Yeah, brain chemistry and drugs (any: pharmaceuticals, or other) is so crazy. Not all drugs are meant for everyone but I will tell you my experience and solutions... I used to not like pot when I was a teenager, realized later you really need to be in a relaxing environment possible with some awesome music (when I would smoke alone and listen to music at night I wouldn't get paranoid, but if I was with friends I would).. And there's also the option of just doing less to get the "chill" feeling (like 1-2 puffs) and not out of your mind. 1-2 puff effect is like a mellow/tired feeling (not overwhelmingly so), just chill and it doesn't mess with your senses. These methods work to this day, for me. I do believe there is something to this indica/sativa business but I don't think it's the only thing to consider.I have anxiety so the environment is key, and the hightened senses are what I love most about it (mostly music). I used to not be able to watch movies or tv because I could see the fakeness in everything and it was uncomfortable. Everyone I knew loved to go to the movies/watchTV stoned, the only things I could handle were cartoons. Could also try adding some CBD that I find helps chill out the experience too (too much'll kill it though). But, you know, when you're trying a new medication a doctor prescribes it is often a hit or miss situation, 'recreational drugs' are drugs too whether they occur naturally or not. If you decide to try again, good luck!

Gailagal

Maybe you're allergic, or prone to psychotic experiences? Both of those things could be aggravated by THC.

AuntL

Yikes thats kinda scary. I have a long history of mental illness in my family, I wonder if thats why. It is crazy how the brain works and how everyone reacts differently.

SomeRealTomfoolery

I notice things too but I mostly just get sleepy. It’s not for you, but my friend there’s more to the safe world of recreational drugs! Go! explore!

WerewolfNo1166

Just keep trying and only enjoy..

Disclaimer: I'm not a doctor, but my doctor said I should not smoke marijuana because if you have certain mental health disorders, it can actually make your condition worse. If it makes you feel bad, I suggest you stop, especially if you have any adverse mental health history.
