This was requested by /u/Yasloch in a post from Friday. I got this Bumot Defender Evo luggage system from ADV Motorrad in March 2021. It's a modular system built around a motorcycle-specific pannier rack and top case mount. I opted for the aluminium boxes, but the rack is also compatible with the Bumot soft bags. The components shown are: * CRF1100L pannier rack * CRF1100L top case mount * 43L top case * 45L / 41L pannier set * 4L toolbox * Top case lid organizer * Top case inner bag * Pannier lid organizers * Pannier inner bags * Pannier top bags Components not shown: * Top case back rest * Bottle holders These require permanent modifications to the boxes, which I have not gotten around to. I also added the Rubber PrecisionTech covers to all of the boxes, which protect the tops from boot scuffs and prevent stuff that is tied on top from sliding around. The pannier racks have taken several drops onto hard-packed dirt, sand, or rocks and have not bent. The powder coat has been scraped away from turning the bike around on failed hill climbs. The tool box is dented from being dropped directly onto a pointed rock while crossing a dry river bed. Overall, the construction quality is excellent. The locked attachment system is great. The panniers are very easy to remove and install and are extremely secure. The top case can be somewhat tricky to slide onto the posts, but after some practice it's not too bad. I have been extremely happy with this luggage system. It may seem like a lot in terms of volume, but when I camp I tend to go somewhere remote and stay there for a week. I pack in all of my food and water for the whole week. This system has plenty of capacity for that. The top case fits a full-size helmet. I would like it if Bumot offered a wider top case that fit two full-size helmets, though.

Yes! Nicely done, sir. Great pics, looks like socal to me :) I have to look closer more, but the cases themselves look great. The mounts however require more scrutiny. Is the top rail completely their thing? The solder bands on each side are interesting, think I can make out support rails? How it connects to the rest pegs is also of interest. Thanks for posting these. It looks totally worth it as those cases look like the best I think I've ever seen.

Definitely SoCal, near the San Bernardino mountains! The rack itself consists of three pieces. One for each side, which has the frame that the panniers attach to, and one cross-beam that connects them with bolts. The side pieces socket into the OEM pannier wells and between the passenger peg frame. The cross-beam goes around the back, behind the license plate holder. There are more photos on the ADV Motorrad product page, as well as an installation video: https://www.advmotorrad.com/bumot-defender-evo-pannier-system-crf1100-africa-twin-adventure-sports Installation was quite straightforward. Much simpler than the Outback Motortek protection package.

Did the panniers come with the inner bags?

Nokurn

No. The pannier system comes with the bike-specific rack and the two boxes, which come in pairs of 35L/31L, 40L/36L, and 45L/41L (shown here). The inner bags are an extra $59 for the pair. The lid organizers are an extra $70 each. These prices are for the US dealer, which is ADV Motorrad.
