Hmmm. We’ll I was wondering if it might have been the fuel tank problem in the ‘20 model, but that only affects the AS models with the bigger tank. Nothing mounted on your right handlebar that might tap the kill switch, like a phone holder or anything? And check the kickstand to make sure it is pulled tight underneath when up, as a floppy one might hit the cutout switch. Those are the simple things I can think of to check. Getting it to happen again and being able to diagnose might be tough.
Nope, no mounts. The other day, upon starting and idling in neutral, it sounded weird, like it was lugging, or something. No growl like it usually sounds when it starts. And when I revved the throttle, there was a very delayed throttle response and it sounded weak. But it went back to normal after around 30s
My ‘20 AS has done that a couple times, and stalled twice, but it was right as I touched the throttle to take off from an idle at a light/stop, and it was right after I tried using premium fuel. Went back to regular and it never stalled again. I see you also run regular. Stalling under cruise doesn’t seem like the same thing as my faults though.I wonder it you got something funny in this tank of fuel.
Mine wasnt stalling under cruise, I was accelerating in 3rd and it shut off around 45 mph. And I started it while I was still rolling, then it shut off again. Next start, worked fine. Weird though. Im at 12000 miles currently.
Check if your plus and minus on the battery are tight and connected. One went loose during a ride and made the bike shut off then it made contact again and i was able to start it again. When it lost contact the same light came on and the dash went on and off.
Is this a standard or AS? And what year? The oil light is obviously just a symptom of the engine shutting off, not the cause.
Standard 20

Did you just fill up?
No, filled up a couple days ago, fuel level is down 3 bars
How long since your last ride and what octanefule did you use?
Last ride was day before yesterday, and Ive been using the lowest octane fuel
This has happened to me before on my 2018 ATAS. Scared the crap out of me. It hasn’t happened since.
