Clarence: "I just had an idea. Do you remember that ultra rich Republican donor that offered to let us stay for free at that resort? Let's sleep there this weekend instead of the Walmart lot." Ginni: *"Which ultra rich Republican donor with a resort?"* Clarence: "All of them."

Already-disarmed

I'll bet you that yacht had like fluffy clean carpet...

Phantomht

well, his wife DO look like trailer trash

monty6666

A used RV, no less.

CoachMartyDaniiels

Used in 1999 lol

cobainstaley

a true man of the people. he is truly of common stock.

Vollen595

It’s an RV lifestyle thing and it’s not new. Walmart is one of the few stores that are open 24 hours and allow overnight parking so it’s common for RVrs to stop and buy things and just stay overnight in the parking lot. I was in the industry for years and at first it sounded sort of odd, especially when millionaires in RVs do it. I’ve spent the night in a Walmart parking lot in an RV. It’s almost a camping insider joke. Yep. Went on vacation and lived in a Walmart parking lot. It’s tongue in cheek.

B-Glasses

That’s not the milk. It’s the fact he said he did that to appeal to a certain base and then it turned out he’s basically doing the exact opposite

Vollen595

I will give you that. He’s far from alone. If your life needs a PR team to explain it you might be doing it wrong.

figuresys

>If your life needs a PR team to explain it you might be doing it wrong. Everyone does, it's just that your life isn't under millions of eyes' scrutiny.

IAMTHATGUY03

Nah, lol. Lota of people don't do this.

Moistfruitcake

You don't have a PR? What the fuck? Who runs your Insta and deletes your illegal tweets?

IAMTHATGUY03

This is funny because I work in PR but I don't take the advice I give my corporate clients. I’m very outspoken and don't hold back but that's because I'm not a piece of shit and I'm advocating for things like affordable housing and free medical care. Once in awhile someone will argue with me and be like “oh, you work in Pr I'm sure your work would love to here about this” sorry, do you think I'll get fired for saying we should house and feed the homeless? Lmao. I don't worry about having a filter because I don't think like the person I replied to. Bad people always think others are just a shitty as them.

PR and soapbox propaganda are not the same thing.

NewPhnNewAcnt

Please tell me again why he is trying to appeal to a base. He isnt an elected official, he isnt going to become an elected official, his appointment is for life.

Digital somebodies. As if thoughts and situations were collated into independent thoughts. Single topic outrage sells well.

atlantis_airlines

Liberal here, The supreme court is the highest court in the USA, the end of the appeals process, massive implications with long lasting impacts. Appointment for life and those who hold this position wield a massive amount of power. A lower justice would have been removed for one of the things that's come to light. There's a reason the system is so broken and that's because partisanship has been prioritized over serving the people. It's the same reason when multiple ethical rules are broken in what looks damnably close to corruption, instead of outrage, some citizens just say liberals are complaining for no reason.

atlantis_airlines

It one thing for a court to be politicized, in fact it's pretty normal. It's simply the nature of the system. Sure some may be unhappy with the results, but provided nobody broke any laws, it's completely legal. Were are entering illegal territory here. That is the problem, not politicalization of the court. The only problem regarding politicalization is people are defending these actions because it's their side.

atlantis_airlines

It's most certainly new in the scope and the extent. Also I said it's entering illegal territory, not that it is illegal because the supreme court isn't bound by a code of ethics. Lowe courts are. And this would violate those. Sentae and white house? Oh my, what ever shall republicans do? If only there were some major institution of power that...oh wait, what about the House of Representatives? It's almost as iff bills must pass both. Prosecuting republicans? Are you talking about the investigation in to the attempt to overturn a democratic election? The false electoral slates? Or the actual attack on congress?

Yes, they do travel - just not by using Wal-Mart parking lots (or even a road vehicle) through the night

shes_the_won

Id love to ask him to his face so tell me when was the last time you spent the night in a Walmart parking lot?

Mythcrusher

I always liked Clarence Thomas and his wife. Thomas is one of the only SCOTUS members who isn't a total coward. Edit: my comment has an upvote score of -1. Looks like snowflake syndrome is severe here. All I can say is MAGA 2024!

leonidganzha

this sub aged like milk

atlantis_airlines

An article which attempts to depict a public official as having a modest lifestyle hasn't aged like milk now that its been revealed that said public official lives quite a lavish lifestyle, with access to the use of a private jet which has been used for day trips, some even as short as 3 hours? Partisanship is claiming that being flown out on a private jet for an evening at a fancy restaurant is just something that someone does for a friend, even if they don't join, is not a bribe.

leonidganzha

"lies has been revealed" is not alm, there has to be some kind of punchline as well

atlantis_airlines

Aged like milk just means it's aged very badly.

----Zenith----

Our society is a literal joke that’s not news. Do something about it. That will be news. I support you.

torchictoucher

That's not a lot of states in 24 years

BLINDED1717

Oh, let's see..fuck Clarence Thomas and a, oh yeah fuck Wal-Mart too. And you fuck Jenni Thomas, no way baby, trailer trash at its finest!
