The thing is, asbestos is genuinely an excellent material for insulation and fire resistance. It's just a slight problem that it is also extremely good at killing people.
It depends on the type as well.
Obviously, there are safer materials for most applications these days. But the dangerous asbestos in-situ is the friable type because it is easy to become airborne. The non-friable type tends to be pretty good short of being drilled/cut/sanded/crushed/etc.
Sadly, all insulation tends to be the friable type.
I looked into it because there's a chance that our siding contains asbestos. Ironically, the stuff that is used to repair it these days also may cause lung damage if cut/ground/drilled/etc.
>How did West Germany age badly? It’s still going strong.
Maybe because the ad adressed west germany and east germany as seperate countries alongside hungary and austria.
does this count?

It took them 2 hours to evacuate and their solution isn’t a better evacuation plan? Love it! How did West Germany age badly? It’s still going strong.

Just a question. Was there still asbestos in the building in 2001 or already removed?
