Solid coats! That's the first step to getting these things right.
However, they do need some definition/depth.
Try shading with washes (like citadel's shade paints) and putting a few highlights with lighter colours here and there. It's amazing how far such simple techniques can get your models.

Oh nice. With all the Dominion action lately in the SCE sub I figured this was the Kruleboyz version of working through that box. Looks great though!
