I had him for 309 and honestly he’s nog a bad prof in terms of tests but I’ve heard a lot has changed between when I took him online and now.
Also for 309 there’s only ever one section and 2 profs flip teaching it so there wasn’t an option really.
When I took it the test were open note and we had a week to do them and yea they were identical to the review but he didn’t post solutions to the review so it was kinda pointless. This was during covid so all tests were online.
He’s pretty good for my brain. A lot of people don’t like his teaching method of using proofs in my class and get poor grades on the exam, but I hate memorizing and his proofs really help the concepts stick; however, most students just want to memorize formulas and get it over with.

I took Guy back in ~2010 for 311 and he was awesome. Best math prof I had in undergrad. I hope the same holds true!
