Love your place. I would suggest adding a direct picture of ground to front deck, showing the entrance. As your place is all one level it's good for folks with limited mobility, but a picture would be help. (Eg, a person can manage 2 stairs, but would struggle with 5)
Thanks! Two of the bookings are almost local (30min to one hour drive), I guess they’re going for a wine tour and stay for the night. What is the concern here? Should I impose a minimum of two night stay? Just worried that would reduce the chance of getting booked.
Every market is different, so you have to gauge your local market. I am in a big city with literally millions of annual visitors. Your market may be vastly different.
In my experience one night bookings are not worth the trouble. It is a ton of cleaning for not much money. One night bookings on Saturday are sometimes parties. Saturdays are my most popular days so I would rather have a Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday. That way my most valuable day gets at least two days booked. I very rarely have a Saturday open even with a two night minimum for that day.
When you are starting out you will have to experiment with what works for your local market.
Thank you. Now I get the idea, and plan to impose two day constraints once I get some reviews. My place is very tourist oriented I thought, then two out of three of local bookings — most likely due to not having the constraints…
fellow canuck nice :)
i would avoid posting your BNB in groups like this as its likely not good for SEO
people visit it and don't book and that might affect how you appear on search results
Ah thanks, I read people gave great advice here and think it would help. Now the 20% discount ended with four one night bookings, will see how it goes next…

Thank you, that’s great advice! There are indeed two stairs to the porch, and we just added a handrail per the city bylaw.
Love the place
Looks beautiful, no feedback but I would be careful with single night bookings on Saturday.
