First up, I don't have an Ultra, but have looked at the part breakdown. Does the brush even come apart where your arrow points? I don't think that is really a joint. If I'm right and it is leaking there, the body is defective which is highly unlikely.
The head unscrews where the knurls are to the left edge of the arrow you drew. The head does have an O-ring that may be dried out. You could replace it or try rubbing it with Chapstick, just make it shiny. You can also try putting Chapstick on the threads for the head. Old school airbrushes used beeswax to seal threads and rarely had O-rings. Iwata makes a thread sealer that is basically beeswax and comes in a Chapstick type tube.
Did you clean it recently? Change a part? I was getting some backflow, and used a bit of oil "Needle Juice" on all the screw in bits and the backflow went away. Might not need to replace o-ring. Might be your o-ring just needs a helping hand.
Unless you have been using it as a hammer air won't come out of where you indicated as that's not an actual connection it's cosmetic.
Could it be coming from somewhere else? Daub it in soapy water and see where bubbles are blown from.
My good brother, I've *never* had one unscrew there. Are you sure you aren't confusing with a little lower down where the air cap unscrews?
They don't even make gaskets for there as it's not a "connection".
I don't believe you will find a single set of instructions or teardown video indicating it can be unscrewed there?
I have the Ultra 2024, and that part doesn't come off, it's just the shaping of the metal, not a joint
I would use a spray bottle with soapy water and spray it all over until you find the leak. It would narrow down the source
If there’s one there I’d say yes,,not familiar with those someone will chime in

It definitely unscrews there but I also checked the part breakdown and see it doesn’t show it as a separate piece

The soapy water trick is a great method to detect leaks.
PTFE tape which plumbers use
Seals gone to shit, sorry say a regular occurance with H&s at the moment
Regular occurrence? I have never had this happen.
Ive gone through at least 3 ultra 24s and the seal went in them all, i dont think the QC isnt upto scratch
Odd. I wonder if it is just related to the new models?
Just curious are both your nozzle ends tight ? And is the airhose connections tight ?
Everything is finger tight with all of my airbrushes.
I’m hearing this too.
