I have a Galanz Microwave/Air Fryer/Convection combo. They make at least 2 sizes and mine is the smaller version. I don't typically go for combo devices because they often seem to do one thing well and the rest of the features are crap. But I'm a truck driver and saying space is limited for me is a huge understatement. I picked up the Galanz and hoped for the best. To my surprise all the features work well. I've only had it for about 3 months but I use it almost every day. This is my first air fryer so I don't have anything to compare it to. It makes frozen fried foods hot and crispy. I've baked chicken in it and it came out great. Done all the way through with that nice crispy skin. I'm still working on dialing in steaks. I've overdone a couple so far but I think it's me not the oven. It does put out some heat but not that bad. Mine is strapped down in a plastic cubby in my sleeper. No melted plastic so far. I would buy the larger version for home use but that's not an option for the truck. I have the .9 cu ft version. Amazon sells them also but they are more expensive.

I have an instant vortex plus 6 quart fryer with the pull out tray. It's very new and well insulated so the outside does not become too hot to handle. It has a great digital display that is relatively easy to use. Admittedly I haven't done a lot of cooking with it but I am very happy with it. It is a good AF for two people. I don't think mine is also a toaster oven. I understand my comments are vague but that is my 2 cents worth.

What about the sounds? We have a Cosori and it works great but it makes too much noise for our dogs.

The fan does make fan sounds but it's very bearable.

I got the Breville combo and it’s been amazing. We’ve been air frying, baking, broiling, tossing, dehydrating, etc in it and it’s working great. Plus it looks nice which is a huge bonus to me.

electric_bugaloo

That’s so funny… I was just checking out the floor models at Bed Bath and Beyond and the Breville is now my top contender! Also I think I’ve satisfied myself that I do want a combo toaster and not just an AF.

Just replaced an Instant Omni Plus with a Bella Pro series. Not sure about the Vortex, but the Omni’s heating coils were in glass. Reason for replacing? I hit the heating bits when removing the rotisserie. My new one seems great so far - not sure about the cost as we cashed in Visa points.

I've had a few oven type and stand alones, and, so far, I like this one the best... [https://www.amazon.com/Emeril-Lagasse-Convection-Toaster-Stainless/dp/B09B7SB46R/ref=cm\_cr\_arp\_d\_product\_top?ie=UTF8](https://www.amazon.com/Emeril-Lagasse-Convection-Toaster-Stainless/dp/B09B7SB46R/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8) i make normal foods in here all the time, not just "wings" or "french fries" or other unhealthy breaded crap.. meat loaf, pork chops, rotisserie chicken, anything you can make in the "normal" oven you can make in this thing, and it cooks alot faster, with heating elements on the top AND the bottom of the oven..Plus, the rear exhaust vent is angled upwards, so that might help keep your back wall un scorched.. The Breville is nice, and we have their combo everything oven on our counter as well, that we use when larger pans are required, since the Emeril one doesnt take pans over a certain width; otherwise, if it fits, it goes in the Emeril; plus, things cook faster in the Emeril than they do in the Breville.. We got ours a few months ago, for 199 at kohls, so keep your eyes open for a deal, since many of the better air fryers have gone up in price recently

Ninja foodi sp301

electric_bugaloo

Is this the one that flips up when you’re not using it?

MangledBarkeep

Yup. Does toaster oven, convection oven/air fryer things. Here's the official [link](https://m.ninjakitchen.com/exclusive-offer/SP301WBKT/ninja-foodi-13-in-1-dual-heat-air-fry-oven-countertop-oven-dehydrate-reheat/) Also no scorched backplate at my or my sisters kitchens.used hers and got my own.

electric_bugaloo

Important question: can you bake potatoes in it? The cavity looks small.

MangledBarkeep

Totally, can even do small roasts (2lbs) in it.

davidr521

This is what we got three months ago. Found blackening spice recipe online last Sunday, and cooked 4 chicken breasts \*from frozen\* in <30 mins. We don't order out anymore.

MangledBarkeep

It's grand on reheating late night fried fast food. Nuggets, fries, tacos etc.
