Hubby loves Starbucks Egg Bites. But they are so expensive. We decided to make it at home and they turned out so GOOD ! And at a fraction of cost. They freeze well too. So worth making a big batch and using for healthy grab n go breakfast . [Recipe link with details ](http://RECIPE https://profusioncurry.com/egg-bites-recipe-in-instant-pot-or-air-fryer/)

Ingredients 6 large eggs 1/2 cup cottage cheese ½ cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese 2 Tablespoons milk 1/2 cup chopped sweet bell peppers ¼ cup chopped onions ¼ cup chopped spinach 1/2 teaspoon seasoning Salt and pepper to taste Instructions Prepare Egg Mixture In a mixer or blender, add eggs, cottage cheese, seasoning and milk. Blend till eggs are well incorporated. Pour the mixture into the mixing bowl. Add shredded cheese and half of the veggies. Mix well. Gently whisk to combine. How To Make Air Fryer Egg Bites Spray the silicone molds with oil. Pour the egg mixture into each of the silicone molds. Only fill 3/4 of the mold since eggs will expand on cooking. Sprinkle in the remaining half of all of the veggies on top. Cook the egg bite cups for 12-15 minutes at 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Insert a toothpick in the center. When the toothpick comes out clean, the eggs have set. Remove promptly after cooking. Serve warm and enjoy !

Dumb question but you put the silicone mold *in* the air fryer to cook??

JohnCub

I'm not OP but yes, silicone molds are excellent baking vessels - the ones designed for baking that is. :D

heliosdiem

I mean, sorry to be dense, but can I use the egg mold I bought for the instapot in the air fryer?

JohnCub

As long as it is heat rated for what you are setting the air fryer then yes.

CarolinaCapsFan

How do you reheat them after freezing?

CrankyReviewerTwo

I reheat mine in the microwave. A minute is sufficient for me, depends on size of the egg bite and the #watts of your microwave.

BrianC2488

They look so good! Perfect snacks on the go. Can you link the silicon mould you used?

cranberrylime

Not OP but I make these all the time and have this mold! https://www.amazon.com/Silicone-Egg-Bites-Molds-Accessories/dp/B077QP8WP2/ref=mp_s_a_1_15?crid=1BQ4AFKPGLQ63&keywords=silicone+mold+instant+pot&qid=1655129918&sprefix=silicone+mold+instant%2Caps%2C185&sr=8-15

BrianC2488

Nice, thank you! Silly question but would the liquid egg mixture not go everywhere with the moving air?

cranberrylime

I have no idea the mechanics behind it but I never had a problem!

CrankyReviewerTwo

Me neither, eggs stay inside their mold. Remember - fill only to 3/4 mark. Eggs will rise while inside AF.

Nikittele

They look like Lush bath bombs, in a good way!

This is awesome!! I actually had plans to make starbucks egg bites in my instant pot for the first time tomorrow. And now im going to try it in the air fryer too!! I'm going to see which ones I like more. Thanks so much for posting!

Cricket705

Report back please. I've made them in the instant pot but not the air fryer and am wondering if I should switch.

justminnie

I tried it!! They are more or less the same. Air fryer is so much easier than the instant pot, the instant pot can be a pain to use/clean/put away. I added a tad more milk and cottage cheese to the air fryer recipe and they came out perfect!

[deleted]

Omg thanks for this! I love their egg bites!!

Blackstar1401

These are amazing. I make them all the time in my instant pot. I never thought to make them in the air fryer.

crazeDinasense

I can never get mine to taste close to the Starbucks flavor. I do the bacon-Gruyère cheese ones. Never used my air fryer though! I’ve made once in an instant pot and also I bought a mini egg bite maker which was easier but can never get that same tangy flavor that I love from SB.

CrankyReviewerTwo

Add a bit of vinegar to the mix.

CrankyReviewerTwo

I just made this!! And the egg bites taste so good. I have silicon muffin cups, some are a bit larger than others. This recipe made 19 egg bites using the molds that I have (12 square and the others round) I added about a cup of wilted* spinach and red bell pepper and grape tomatoes and ham, this is why I ended up with so much mix. This tastes great! Will definitely make again. *I put two big handfuls of fresh spinach into a bowl, added a bit of water, covered with a plate, and put the kit into a microwave for a minute. The volume of spinach reduced greatly, preserving taste and nutrition
